The hotel is strategically located, extremely close both to the railway station and the town's centre. The room was big and clean, the bed was very comfortable and overall the hotel met our expectations. We didn't try the breakfast, but we were told by other guests that the bar and breakfast were both worth it. The staff has been very friendly and helpful.

We didn't have issues, except for the noise coming from outside at night time. We had to leave the window open during the night because it was hot outside and the room was boiling, but the noises coming from outside were incredibly loud. We did find some earplugs in the room, but I can't use them. So, sleeping was tough for a couple of days. Then it all turned for the better once the temperatures dropped, and we were able to keep the window closed and the room was perfectly silent.

I was able to check-in late. The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom spacious just like the room. Always came back to a clean room.

It’s probably just a me thing, but the room service moved my clothes. I’ve set them out on the chair / on the desk, because I’d be leaving the following day. I came back to all of my things being moved to one side of the room. Nothing was gone and the clothes even folded(!) but I just didn’t like the thought of people moving my things around, if they weren’t on the bed.

Rooms were cozy, it was easy to get to from train station, food was delicious, staff was absolutely lovely. And they were understanding when my dog had an accident.

Felt like it wasn’t cleaned, when I came back to my room after my day out it looked like that the only thing the cleaner did was make the bed that’s it. The lifts was a little confusing for a first timer. Great that it was dog friendly but there was NO WHERE for my dog to go to the toilet. Also there wasn’t enough drinks at breakfast.

The staff weren't helpful at all during my stay. They were very nonchalant and didn't look approachable at all not only to me but to other customers aswell. This made me not to enjoy my stay. I am a frequent traveller and love all places I go to. This is beyond what I have ever seen before. I believe Ibis should do better because the several times I have used Ibis they have not portrayed such poor standard. To savage their reputation/image Ibis staff in this location should be trained better to seem more welcoming to customers. In between my stay I met several customers who were muttering the same problems to themselves. Because of the poor standards I had to write a review so this can be looked into as this experience was from my check-in, stay and check-out from different staff.

The location is quite central, walking distance to restaurants and markets. Fresh clean bedding

The noise levels from outside even with windows closed and earbuds. Also could hear activities in the corridor. And that morning repair job could have waited. Instructions about parking was not clear on website, a friendly staff helped explaining. Staff giving directions to the parking assumed we've been before so was not very helpful. Why don't you have a normal lift and avoid all the faff with temperamental swipe cards

Most of the staffs were jovial and very welcoming. We got first hand help after we accidentally locked our keys inside the room on our way out .

We didn't get bottled drinking water and didn't bring some thinking it's provided but we had to go out and get some as we are not used to drinking tap water. Kindly put some antibacterial airfreshners in the toilets . Noticed one of the staff at the reception was so gloomy,even she didn't answer back to greetings but the rest were so nice anyway not all people are same.

Light bright airy. Best of all was the staff they were all amazing, so helpful cheerful and friendly. Receptionist was lovely welcoming and helpful. We arrived back in the evening after 9:00 wanted food for 7 people including fussy kids, they didn’t bat an eyelid were happy to provide even for the kids, we were not made to feel uncomfortable which we have experienced previously in other establishments. My sister left her handbag in the room with £60 in it, called the hotel on our return home, they had it. The rooms were very clean, the bed comfortable. The location is perfect so much in the vicinity Our daughter has moved to Northampton it’s always good to find somewhere you know you will return too. Thank you to all.

Location and staff brilliant. Comfortable bed, clean and warm.

The area for breakfast was quite open and had a door that opened directly out onto the path so whenever it opened it was quite draughty and as the breakfast items were in its path they must have had to use extra electric to keep it warm. It could do with an inner door. Also the information said there was on site parking but following the directions sent us directly to the hotel where there is only a foot path from the road and the actual road to get to the car park is in a completely different direction so we missed the turn and as it was getting dark just found the nearest one which ended up with us paying double the fee. I think they could be a bit more specific about how to get there as there are a lot of one way streets in the vicinity.

Breakfast was great. Staff were superb… always friendly and helpful. Also this hotel , unlike many supposedly high end hotels, actually cleans the room every day! They also replace the complimentary teas and coffeees daily

My only concern is that on the third floor there was a constant smell of cannabis in the corridors .. not just from one room but seemingly from many. As a woman alone this was disconcerting… and surely smoking of any kind should not be allowed?
