This was a very lovely Riad where I felt like I was staying in someones home. Very clean, quiet, comfortable, friendly staff, soft beds, great terrace views, located near the taxi parking lot South gate. I will stay here again on my next visit. Fyi, I bought a large rug from Bazar Mehdi carpet shop located near the port and felt they had the best, large inventory and that the owner Aziz price was fair. TIP: don't go to any shop with a "guide" or you'll also be paying for their commission too.

This Riad is a hidden gem! It’s in a great location for wandering around Essaouira. The room was very clean and the bed super comfy. Great water pressure in the shower too! The staff were absolutely lovely and the breakfast was always fresh and delicious, everyday there was something different to go with the basic breads and jams etc. fresh juice and good coffee.

There was a slight damp/musty smell in the bathroom but totally understandable as it has no ventilation and appears to be an internal room. This could be easily helped with some incense or reed diffuser. It didn’t overly affect our stay however.

Location was great, easy walking everywhere, and easy to find upon arrival (huge). The room was spacious, closet space, nice ventilation into the interior ‘courtyard’. Breakfast on the terrace upstairs was lovely, staff friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Sound travels but that goes with the design of a riad and wasn’t a problem for us. Closing the shutters and windows helped immensely.

We were surprises at the location, reading the description we thought it was on the waterfront, it is a location right in the middle of the walled medina down lots of alleyways but very close to restaurants and cafes, breakfast was very Moroccan with lovely bread, pastry and an omelette, Moroccan tea and coffee

We loved the place.. Ideal for investigating the area.. Period building and interior... The staff members happy and helpful. Lovely breakfast. Quiet location in medina.

Nothing really.. Shower needed water retaining strip on floor to stop water going into wash area.. Single bed/couch was a bit hard! But these are just minor issues.

Excellent calm location in the medina. Lovely decor and terrace. Friendly helpful staff. Special thanks to Sadia who arranged my tours and helped me charge my phone when my charger broke.

It was cold at night but there was a blanket in the wardrobe. Breakfast felt like a sugar overdose but each to their own.

All the staff we met were very friendly (reception/waitering/kitchen) - breakfast on the rooftop was a great start to every day - excellent value for money

The only point would be maybe some more showergel - with 2 of us we ran out all the time

Superbly located in a quiet line just off the main lane of the Medina, so well placed for shops etc. Welcomed with a mint tea or coffee, there were bottles of water in the room, breakfast was on the roof terrace, and all at a great price. My only regret was that I was there for only one night.

Lovely place with the most fantastic hosts. The facilities were very good. The location of the Riad is in a very good place with great views out to the ocean and over the Medina. The breakfast which was all homemade was delightful. We would definitely book the Dar Assalama again.

Location, easy to find in the Medina. It was quiet, comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! It was a real bonus to have our laundry done!
