I had the most amazing breakfast and the lady who served me was the friendliest and most helpful manager ever. I noticed the cleaner on a Sunday morning doing the most excellent job on the way to the restaurant and he smiled so beautifully it was memorable, I felt very welcome and exceptionally well treated. It made my stay. Also the lady who checked me in was extremely dog friendly and kind. She helped me with my luggage and made sure I had a lovely cozy quiet room even thought the loud wedding was going at full volume. She made sure I was as important as their other guests. It was a real treat. Thank you.

It was perfect.

We loved staying here! It was booked as a birthday present for my partner who enjoys staying at nice hotels and he loved it. The room was big and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We went for dinner in the bar which was exquisite and the breakfast was just as amazing with plenty of choice. There was a wedding on but you wouldn't have known it unless you'd seen it walking in. There was no noise or major impact for those not attending the wedding. The staff were also lovely. We will definately be back for food and for a stay!

The only negative was that the aircon did not work. Unfortunately, we stayed on one of the hottest nights of the year so this did impact our comfort and sleep which was not ideal. The staff found us fans to help us cool.down the room as much as possible as there was no spare room to move us too but despite this we would stay again.

Beautiful decor, olde worlde feel to the place. The bedroom (suite) was a big surprise as it was an unexpected upgrade. Staff were friendly & accommodating. A couple of gluten free choices at lunchtime & for breakfast

Only one gluten free option in the ‘late night snacks’ menu. The bar only had crisps & peanuts after 9.30 pm so if like us get you get back late you have to order from the room service menu in the room The telephone didn’t work but no great need for it except when looking for instructions for the coffee machine - there weren’t any so had to walk to reception to ask for help.

The property was in a quiet location. The facilities were very good. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped.

The bed was not the most comfy and could feel/hear bed springs. Consequently did not have the best nights sleep. We booked a table in the restaurant and although the food was excellent the service was a little slow though we were aware there was a wedding party and a very busy bar and restaurant so we understood.

What a find, a fantastic hotel in a great location and it's much bigger than the pictures suggest. Although we only booked a standard room for our one night stay we were really impressed, a great size room with very good furnishings and an extremely comfortable bed. We had an evening meal in the bar/restaurant which was faultless along with fantastic service, our breakfast the following morning again was amazing. The hotel has ample parking with electric charging points available also.

Friendly welcome. The room was spacious, lovely and clean with a superking and a single bed. Comfy beds and pillows. There were plenty of mirrors and sockets. Powerful shower and lovely smelling toiletries . The hotel was quiet overnight and we had a good night sleep. Breakfast was lovely. Plenty to choose from. Continental and full English. Soya milk available if you ask. We had a lovely view from the breakfast room. Lift available. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends. It was £12.50 taxi from Stafford train station

Very happy with everything

An excellent hotel in a very convenient place, close to the M6. It is amazing internally, very up-to-date and comfortable. The restaurant is good, a small bar, a wedding was underway whilst I was there but it caused no inconvenience at all, The Moat House is large enough to handle them without swamping the facilities or creating too much noise. I will use them again.

Maybe some hand soap in the bathroom.

The staff especially the young lady on reception. The location was stunning even though was very wet and flooded in parts nearby. The bar food was exceptional. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was alot of choice if you like continental.

The mattress was too soft ( very worn) for me personally no support so unfortunately I didn't sleep as wasn't comfortable and was stiff and sore. Unfortunately the breakfast was stone cold not even luke warm. That was so disappointing as the bar food was exceptional even the coffee was cold. Stayed many different places and this was the worst breakfast we've ever had. There was plenty of choice of cold food. Needs to be probed regularly wasnt done once then would of been aware it was freezing cold. People sat around us was saying the same thing food cold but only we spoke up as cant put right if not aware. I didn't let it ruin my birthday night away but it kind of did as I felt let down at the last point of our stay so its remembered.

Breakfast was excellent. Room was very good. We had dinner in the lounge bar, which was flexible and suited us as we only wanted a light snack on the second night and we'd been out to a big family lunch. The location was perfect after a long journey - easy access from M6, but quiet and secluded just a few miles out of Stafford. Also plenty of parking spaces. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family in the area.

Really nice place, location and hotel are lovely. Hotel is amazing and comfy. Will definitely be coming back. We had Fish and chips with peas for supper. The fish was delicious and nicely cooked. The breakfast was delicious too.

We had the fish and chips with crushed peas for supper. The peas were garden peas crushed... These weren't very nice, mushy peas would have been better. A few more chips too please. We had 9 chips each.
