Perfect location for an event we attended, nice and easy to find with little or no road noise. Our room looked as it did online. Bed was a good size and there was a variety of pillows, cushions and a duvet . Good shower pressure and temperature. Breakfast was efficiently delivered by a hard working team in one of the bars.

When we stayed there was a large wedding on and although we didn't hear the function we certainly did hear people heading to and from their rooms near us until the early hours. it would have been nice to have a the option to swap the duvet for some sheets on a warm summers evening and minibar in the rooms with some water in it would have helped.

A wedding party stayed overnight and at breakfast in the dining room some of the wedding guest tables were very noisy, and some guests were inappropriately dressed, in sleepwear and gaping dressing gowns. It is not a spa hotel so sleepwear should not be worn outside the bedrooms. The breakfast was very good but spoilt for us by the continual shouting between the tables, perhaps the wedding guests should have had their own section of the dining room.

Inclusive breakfast, decor was modern and tasteful, restaurant offered a superb selection of dishes and my choice was excellent. Great ambience.

I was working so I needed breakfast to be earlier, it is offered from 0730 at weekends which didn't give me time to eat the fabulous full English on offer before I had to leave, however the staff were so helpful and friendly and rustled up toast and coffee really quickly for me. Such nice people.

1st time staying at the Barns Hotel and wasn't sure what it would be like. It is so well set up with pub at front and hotel rooms at back. Bed was comfy & large. room size was good and clean. Check in was simple. What made it even better was the friendliness & cheerfulness of all the staff from reception to bar staff to waitress staff. We have family who have just moved nearby so will definitely be going back.

Nothing as was great

Staff were very friendly and very efficient. The hotel exceeded my expectations from when I booked. The room was spacious and the bed super comfortable. There was even a fan in the bedroom which could have been very useful as it had been very hot, even though we chose not to use it this time. We were able to eat in the restaurant that evening even though we hadn't pre-booked.

Slightly disappointed by the breakfast as it had previously been well reviewed. The cooked breakfast arrived super quick but then there wasn't enough room on the table for cereal bowls etc. There was a wide range of cereals but no granola or muesli. The fruit wasn't at all ripe, the bananas were green. I had a prepackaged croissant which tasted like it was made out of foam, I couldn't eat it. The toast was cut extremely thick. Good coffee though.

Excellent, breakfast very hot - presented beautifully Location was very nice - a beautiful place for a wedding . Staff all very helpful - room very nice - overall stay was extremely very good -

We had a meal in the evening which was excellent - we all thought from having the starter the main meal was very rushed . Would have been nice to just give people a little time before serving mains .

All the staff when I arrived in the afternoon were lovely and friendly and helpful. Evening staff in the bar and restaurant couldn't be faulted and the waitress I had was so nice. Food was really tasty. Thoroughly recommend the steak and wild mushroom suet pudding!

The towel rail in the bathroom wasn't on so the towels were cold and unfortunately they were very rough to the touch. The fan left by the bed wasn't fit for purpose, luckily I had bought my own with me. Unfortunately the full English breakfast was extremely bland there was no flavour. Staff didn't ask if I wanted any juice or another drink or toast etc they just took the order and served nothing else which was very disappointing.

The Barns Hotel exceeded my expectations. From the smooth and friendly check-in, to the quality of the room and comfy bed, nothing could have been better. It is rare to find a hotel where all the staff are happy, friendly and keen to help. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious, and very good value. Well done to everyone that we met - you made it a fantastic stay.

There is nothing that I would improve, except perhaps staying an extra night. Well done.

The cold dishes were self service, with the cooked, made to order. I chose the vergetarian breakfast, as I don't eat red meat. It was fresh and a good size.

I couldn't get the wifi to work and I also couldn't use my personal hotspot as there was a very weak signal. A nice bar and restaurant, but as a real ale drinker, it would have been nice to have at least one on tap.

The pub atmosphere was great, and all the staff were professional and welcoming. Special mention goes to Jenny who was brilliant at making us feel welcome in a place we did not know - we felt at home. The food was excellent too. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. If I owned the place I would be very proud.
