Location! In the heart of everything. There were 3 Christmas markets within a 5 minute walk (one right outside the door). Restaurants all around us, Fairmont Chateau Frontenac across the street and Notre Dame a street behind us.

I booked the hotel for not only the location, the class of rooms but also for the convenience of having a restaurant on site. No where in Booking.com or directly on the Hotel website, did it ever mention the restaurant was closed for the season (holiday) and wouldn’t be open again until March 2025. Very disappointed in the non-disclosure as I had my elderly parents with me and it would’ve been so helpful to have known this; as it is hard for them to get around and going down the restaurant would have eased some troubles along the way.

Wonderful location, and we especially loved the Restaurant attached (some of the best poutine and french onion soup we have ever had). We thought the staff (wait staff and bartenders) were amazingly kind and friendly, too! The room was well appointed, and had everything to make our stay comfortable. Even with a fire alarm going off in the middle of the night, we can't say enough good things about our stay! We were appreciative of the way the staff apologized for that unforseen circumstance, and everyone was very apologetic. Again...such positive staff makes this business a 10/10!

The hotel was ideally located! We were able to park our car a couple blocks away at “City Hall” and never needed to use it for our two day stay because of this hotel’s excellent location. The staff was friendly, and the room was very comfortable and clean. Cute bar and restaurant in the hotel but we didn’t have a chance to try it.

The bathroom sink was very small, no counter space, and faucet prevented easy face washing. Shower was fine! Room was pretty small and no view (window looked out to plaster wall of courtyard) BUT we were rarely there because we were enjoying the city! All-in-all a very comfortable stay!

The front desk staff were super helpful and very friendly. The location is excellent if you are spending time in Old Quebec. The German Christmas Market is literally right outside the hotel door. The funicular and stairs to Lower Town are just a short walk. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet and clean.

The restaurant was closed during our stay, but fortunately there are many great restaurants in walking distance. There is no on-site or street parking, however you can short term park a block away to drop off suitcases. Once you park, you won't need a car as the city is very walkable. Parking rates were reasonable.

The location is extremely good, on a blocked to most traffic. We had a room on the back side of the hotel which was very quiet. The hotel offers no breakfast, but there's a Smith bakery just around the corner. The restaurant on the first floor, Mur Mur, offers excellent food and also, weather permitting, sidewalk tables. Our room was slightly small but comfortable, everything worked.

For us, there was nothing to dislike. Some people may prefer bigger rooms.

This is a nice modern hotel in the heart of Old Quebec City. We arrived early in the morning from a cruise. The staff was friendly and helpful. They let us drop our bags off so we could explore the city without having to carry them around. When we arrived at 4 to check in, the bags were already in our room. The rooms and bathrooms are attractive, spacious and clean. The hotel also has a restaurant they give you a discount to dine there. We had a lovely dinner and our waiter was attentive and chatty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this hotel.

We liked the hotel’s location because it was within very easy reach of pubs, restaurants, and shops in both upper and lower Québec. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The standard room we were given on the ground floor was a very odd almost triangular shape so there was no room to put our cases and my husband fell over the end of the bed twice in the 10 minutes we were in it. Reception staff were very understanding and transferred us to what appeared to be a lovely room on the top floor. But unfortunately the AC was very loud and we had to have it on because the window didn’t open. There was also a loud persistent pulsating noise from the AC unit on the roof that kept us awake every night. The hotel didn’t serve breakfast.

The room was small and facing a courtyard, so we never could tell if it was sun or rain outside. But the advantage of wonderful silence far outweighed that drawback. We had trouble with the coffee maker and lights, but they attended to those quickly and all was well. The sink in the bathroom looks nice but is totally non functional. You can’t splash your face without splashing yourself and the floor. There was no breakfast provided, and nothing except McDonalds is open before 8am. The Lavazza coffee maker made only espresso, so it was McCafe each morning. Who is impressed by these coffee makers anyway? (sorry, I combined the like and dislike sections, but you get my drift).

In winter restaurant is closed so not much of a lobby. No access from street so had to carry luggage from city hall parking garage. Ok if you are fit, but would not recommend if you need assistance or can’t carry luggage. Lock on door was installed upside down.

The staff were courteous and helpful. The feature that was exceptional was their restaurant, as the food was absolutely delicious, healthy and way better than other restaurants nearby! The ambiance on the weekend is also fun, festive, with lots of people on the patio drinking, eating and enjoying themselves. The service in the restaurant and the bar are also worth noting. I will definitely return on another trip.

I think the addition of king size beds would be nice (if they don't already have them). It would also be nice if the bar would stay open a little later on Fridays and Saturdays, perhaps to midnight.
