So really mixed review for this hotel, location is brilliant, if you have a lake view room, the staff that are on are good but there are not enough of them As others have said this isn't a 5 star hotel more like a big 3 star, you often had to hunt for staff in the bar area. When we were there the hotel was supposedly full, but one guy serving, the bar, lounge area and room service. he was really nice but he would often disappear do room service stuff bearing in mind this is a big hotel so if you are going up 4 floors and along corridors its going to take time, not fair on him

So we originally were given a room facing the road, which to be fair is what we paid for, however the room was tired, and right next to the busy road, so you cant have the window open We complained and in the end they gave us a small room with lake view, for a reasonable supplement. I wouldn't stay here without a lake view, its not just the view they are much quieter,

The hotel feels very luxurious and our lake front balcony room was an absolute treat to sit on before dinner with a glass of wine. The sparrows nesting on the balcony were very sweet and the breakfast was incredible. The fact you can just ask for almost anything and it will be made is a real treat! Our spa treatment was also excellent value with the 10% discount we got as guests and our meal at the Julijana restaurant was also wonderful. After some very hard days hiking, it was a treat to relax here and have the private decking area to ‘ourselves’! We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to relax in Bled!

The rooms were quite outdated, not in respect of the decor, but there was a lot of paint peeling in bathroom, the floors were very creaky and the curtains were quite see through. If the decor had a bit of a refurb this place would have been a 10!

Our stay at the Grand Hotel Toplice was a lovely experience. We arrived early at 11 AM and were pleasantly surprised to receive a welcoming glass of wine to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our room was quite nice, featuring two balconies. One of them offered a charming view of Bled, allowing us to relax and enjoy the scenery. The breakfast at the hotel was truly delightful and perhaps the best I've had. What truly stood out during our stay was the hotel's exceptional location. It provided easy access to the beautiful sights and attractions of Bled. Whether it was taking in the stunning lake views or exploring the charming town, the convenience of the hotel's location added significantly to our experience. Overall, our stay was enjoyable. The early check-in, the birthday gesture, and the picturesque views from our room, combined with the hotel's probably best-in-town location, made it a memorable visit. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Very helpful staff. Room had a nice balcony with a wonderful lake view, most convenient when it happens to rain. The hotel boats were a nice surprise and rowing around the lake, followed by a cocktail at the hotel bar, was most pleasurable. The little private waterfront was also a good surprise, swim, snacks & drinks, so i did not even had time to try the spa, though it looked nice.

Too bad there is no restaurant with the hotel (fine but inconvenient when it rains). Not directly related to the hotel: Better directions how to get there for people without a car (train, bus, car services…).

The location and the view from balcony on the lake is really impressive. No other hotel can offer that. It is an old luxury hotel with history and with soul. One can feel that. Staff is extremely kind, helpful and competent, on 5* level and even more. Breakfast is rich, many tasteful dishes offered. SPA nice. Parking on site. Now, if you consider details of the room 1(size,furniture) and hotel in general, some technical issues etc, you may find some remarks. But in general, a very special hotel. We liked our stay very much, we will return one day.

Very very nice property which has a lot of history. It is directly on the lake, which is unusual. They even have free wooden row boats and paddleboards for guests. Breakfast was wonderful (but they closed it too early for us)

The only thing we were disappointed with was the Michelin star restaurant for dinner. The food, while very creative of course, was not very interesting. Mostly everything was pureed and... well... we just didn't love it. The server also was new at this restaurant and he said the menu had recently changed so he wasn't very familiar with the dishes offered.

The view was to die for - and the boating and water paddle boarding fun Could do with some planters on the decking - felt a bit of a missed opportunity to make a fabulous seating /sunbathing area - was stark and lacking in atmospheric there - generally was such a great location we sat don’t mind - town is disappointing though - so comercial and busy and totally out of keeping with the beautiful lake - shame

The front Desk assistant was very difficult and unhelpful when we arrived early . He was quite unfriendly and made it s feel awkward -

The view from the balcony was simply superb, I've never had better. It overlooked Bled castle, Lake Bled, and the church on the island. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast choices really varied and coupled a la carte with buffet. The perfect blend. The hotel has great charm and ambiance with a location that cannot be beaten in Bled or possibly anywhere.. the sundeck was amazing too. Loved it all

The location and the view from the hotel were amazing. Also, very near to other restaurants. The double room with no balcony is a bit cramped for a family of 3, however double room with Lake view was too spacious. The view from the balcony was spectacular. The staffs were very friendly and helpful.

The options in the breakfast was a bit limited, we felt. Also, parking is €10/night, is a bit high considering the price paid for the rooms.

Location-perfect! Breakfast- great! I want to note that Gasper Premri went FAR beyond what a “receptionist” would do. He was a Concierge!!! Outlined road trips, including all pertinent information to include suggested dining; made reservations for 2restaurants( excellent choices!), and was at our call if needed for absolutely ANY problem we might encounter! As an aside, his command of English is excellent! He should definitely continue in this industry👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍And be promoted! He’s quite capable of much more responsibility ( which he’s already assuming!).We’re planning on returning in the future as time was short.
