Well what can I say about Old Bled House…so much character and charm. The location was a short walk from the lake itself, and there is free parking for hotel guests just in front. Breakfast wasn’t included in our rate but we did choose to pay extra for it and it was completely worth it. Well stocked and everything you could really need or want for breakfast provided. The Old Cellar next door do the most amazing food so be sure to book a table in peak season! And finally, the staff, they were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, they just added to the charm of the property.

Just a few points that would definitely not put me off staying there again more tips I hope the hotel will take on board or will help you pack Hairdryer - they are the ones that are attached to the wall and you have to hold down the button and are not powerful so I would take my own if I was to stay again coat hangers - we had a lovely wardrobe but only about 5 hangers please please add some more hangers it won’t take much power cuts - there was quite a few power cuts which didn’t effect us they only lasted a few mins but I think it’s normal and a warning when you check in would be good

The staff was wonderful, the room was perfect and for the best view of the lake room 22 has it. Breakfast was good and fast if you need it that way. Location was another bonus. A few min walk to the lake and all of the main restaurants and then a few min walk to grocery stores. If you take the bus to Bled from Ljubljana get off at the Union bus stop. From there Old Bled house is a 3 min walk if your slow.

Dr. order to not drink any alcohol so I didn't get to enjoy the wine cellar with all of the wine available. Also room 22 with the amazing views was at the top (3rd) floor. We travel light with small suitcases but if you didn't do this and your not feeling strong, getting your suitcases up to your floor might be an issue. Note that the young lady at check-in ask to help getting our luggage upstairs for us so I think they would help if someone was uncapable of this task.

Absolutely everything! The room was beautiful, comfortable and amazingly decorated, and the entire hotel is stunning - it's obvious that a lot of effort was put into decoration, to the tiniest details. The room was equipped with everything needed, from towels and the fridge to the water heater, coffee and tea. Breakfast was great, on the level of the best 4-star hotels I've been in. Kudos for preparing eggs according to wishes of every guest (I asked for fryed eggs and they were perfect, prepared just as I like it). The staff was very kind and helpful, they helped us with the reservation in the restaurant for the dinner, since we were arriving a bit later than expected. Dinner in the restaurant (which is not a part of the hotel) was great as well - everything tasty and waiters very helpful and pleasant (with great food as well - definitely try the "mushroom cappuccino" and lava cake). The location was also great, a short walk away from the lake, with available parking. We will definitely return!

Everything was great.

Very atmospheric B&B with incredible attention to detail for a playful, rustic and "old world" decor. Everything was spotlessly clean, the communication before check-in faultless, and staff at the site friendly and accommodating. In short, we had a wonderful time in a wonderful region of Slovenia, made even better by the ambience and service at Old Bled House. Oh, and the food and wine were amazing as well!

Nothing really. I guess the place appeals to people who want rustic charm. If you want sleek and modern (and soulless?) then this is not for you.

Great place so close to town. The rooms are styled very accordingly to match the theme of the house and it makes the place feel very welcoming and cozy. We had a great stay. Fantastic view and as a bonus free parking is included and everything is just a short walk away. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The small restaurant downstairs is fantastic and the paid breakfast in the morning is nice. Bled is a great place to visit, and in close proximity to other attractions - Old Bled House is a great place to base yourself for exploring this part of Slovenia!

Sometimes the room was very warm and the aircon wasn't always working.

The old world charm of staying in a heritage property reminding one of Enid Blyton stories of our childhood. Rooms built out of wood and stones. The enthusiasm of the staff who are very friendly and helpful always. The excellent omelette prepared daily with requested variations.

There are no lifts and I had to carry my heavy suitcase all the way up to 2nd floor. Though this was announced and known in advance it was still a concern. There is no mirror in the room which the ladies find to be a drawback. AC was found wanting in performance.

Just as beautiful as it looks online! The woodwork throughout was amazing. We had room for 3 - 2 bedrooms and a patio. Kettle and coffee available in the room. Felt like home. We did not get a change to eat breakfast or dinner at the location. We usually went to the Pekarna Planika a short walk away for breakfast. Our favorite restaurant in the area was Restavracija Central Bled - just down the street. Central bus station is just a bit beyond the mentioned bakery.

From booking to check out, everything went extremely easy. As we were arriving past check-in time, we received kind instructions at reception for self-check-in. No problems with late check-in as well. The room is beautiful, and clean, in the wooden style that completes the impression of Bled. Breakfast was delicious and of a wide range. What was most important for us, as we were traveling with a dog, was that there was not a single incident or negative action. The dog was welcomed even during breakfast. The location of the Old House is literally 2-3 minutes from the center of Bled. Finally, and also very important, there are parking spots on the premises.

The receiptionist/front desk girls were very hepluful, both named Ana, I think. They were able to give me a lot of info on where to go and what too see. The location is execllent, you need to look for their sign. They are located 50 yards off the main road up a dirt road on top of a small hill. Their dinner was excellent. I had the best rib eye steak I'v ever eaten. I'm not the kind of guy who goes out and order steaks, ever! Their Slovenian is even better!!! You should make a reservation. The locals packed this place the night we were there, we almost did not get a table. They made room for us. Our room had an awesome view and patio.

The bath towels were rather hard and old, like old rags you would use for cleaning. They could be repaced. The hot water heaters were broken and we had to take a cold shower when we got up the next morning It understandable that these things happen. The breakfast was kind of weak, all self service, typical for European's, not Americans.
