Staff friendly and cool decor

Twice in a row I got rooms with no outside window, window looks out onto corridor so no privacy or no natural light.

The staff were fantastic and incredibly efficient with helping store my bags, transfer my luggage from the ride to the room and vice versa, and delivering a great stay for me.

The room is a bit small for me, but I wasn't staying inside very long each day so for sleeping each night, it was fine I do wish I had been in a more exciting room. I think the option to choose your room should be available. I wasn't able to choose, I don't think. Otherwise a great stay in the CBD!.

I loved the vibe, the room themes, the staff, the hustle around the city. The quiet when you close all the windows and the great vibe if they are open. The willingness of the staff to go the extra mile. The staff warning us about the safety in the area. The excellent coffee in the morning. The 24 hour service and respecting one's request to disallow any visitors.

I would have preferred better bedding. Duvet cover missed most buttons, only had one resulting in the inner falling out during the night. The toilet is loose from the floor and move when it is used. Under the bed I could see gathered dust which means it was not cleaned in a while. There should be a decent bin in the room, as the restroom bin is too small and does not always fit the purpose. Housekeeping only made a turn by me on my last day of 4 days.

Daddy Long Legs is a unique hotel located in the perfect location right in the middle of Cape Town. Just a 5 minute walk from Greenmarket Square/surrounding walking streets, as well as Bree Street from great restaurants, and Bo Kaap is about 10 minutes walk away. It is also less than 10 minutes by taxi to the waterfront, and about 15 minutes to Table Mountain. If you want to be in the middle of everything, I recommend Daddy Long Legs! The staff are also fantastic. They were so much fun, genuine and kind. They also have a cute little balcony that looks over Long street and is a great place to sit after a long day of sightseeing. The rooms are unique, mine was the black "Protea" room with the light up lamp. If you like a dark place to stay, request this room. With no windows when the lights are off it is straight up dark. I slept so well! My friend had "Emergency Room" which was legitimately supposed to be a hospital room, down to the bedpan and all! We had a good laugh at that.

Just be advised there is no lift, so you have to carry your bags up the stairs. I travel with a backpack which is fine but my friend had a rolling suitcase and it was difficult for her - although the staff were more than happy to help her carry her bag up the stairs! (THANK YOU!) One suggestion would be to provide extension cords so that your phone could sit on the floating shelves next to the bed.

Great location, central to most places especially Company Gardens. The best staff, so accommodating and cheerful/energetic. Enjoy the idea that local artists decorated and named the rooms. Great value for money. Very safe as security walks the street regularly. It's perfect for a one night stay.

Had a lot of flies had to chase out as the window as the back view is between buildings. Can be noisy as traffic and religious institutions are close by. Shower did not drain effectively (took time to drain).

Location location location. Staff was friendly. Good guidance on local information. Close to sightseeing bus tours. Close to restaurants.

The neighbors were loud and could hear the private property people speaking on the video call late at night sitting on their balcony. Bed was not comfortable. Could inviter in better beds. No lifts and stairs were pretty steep to the third floor. The neighborhood is a little scary at night.

The staff were amazing - very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent as this is in the middle of town where its easy to Uber from and to places. The room was clean and neat and the bed was comfortable. They even had some coffee and tea available for us and even a welcome glass of wine for us :)

The bathroom smelled a little moist but that's because the air vent didn't work (or we didn't see it). It would have been nice to have a TV in the room too for a lazy morning but not a necessity :) This is in long street in Cape Town hence cant walk around at night time as its dangerous but Uber is very easy to grab.

Unique rooms, with lovely and friendly staff. Welcome drink on arrival was a pleasant touch. Location is convenient and not as noisy as I expected given it was on Long Street. A ton of restaurants within walking distance.

They only have stairs on the property (narrow stairs up to reception on the first floor, rooms on the second and third) and I was on the third floor. But staff does help you with luggage.

Everything!!! The staff were amazing. Special shout out to Toto at the front desk. You are the man!!!! Hotel is very close to trendy bars, restaurants, and overall nightlife. The room was comfy and very well thought out. The GM, the other 2 front of house guest specialists were amazing, the cleaning staff were helpful and very polite. I will definitely be visiting again and again. I love you guys! Thank you for making my stay a memorable one!

There was nothing I could fault

Load shedding does not affect the property. I appreciated this as I needed to do some work in the evenings. The rooms are air-conditioned and clean. All the staff members were friendly and helpful and made staying there very comfortable. I also loved the welcome drink on arrival! Waking up to a view of table Mountain was a nice treat. I would book again.

My only request is a table and chair for working.
