The farm is in a remote location, making it perfect for some quiet, time coming from busy cities. Although remote, you can still travel back and forth to big cities like George, Wilderness, and Mossel Bay easily, for a day (if interested) and come back to enjoy the beautiful sunset by the balcony next to your room. Family-friendly, with a playground for kids and a pool; a small communal kitchen, for self-catering, and close to a vineyard for wine tasting. The owners and staff are friendly and able to assist with anything reasonably asked. A hidden germ.

The ants (the owners did make us aware), also expected on a country side.

Tranquil & quiet location surrounded by beautiful mountains. We enjoyed the well kept gardens and the sunset views. Our hosts kept checking in to ensure our stay is as comfortable as possible, we used their braai facilities which was well equipped and specially prepared for our use. We enjoyed a breakfast at the tea garden before heading out to explore in Oudtshoorn, nearby.

It is about 30 minutes drive from the closest town (which we really enjoyed). This means you must come well prepared with anything you may need including dinner as the tea garden closes around 4pm.

The location is lovely - all the roses in the gardens were in bloom. The property is really well maintained. The little village is fairly close to the main road but it is really peaceful and quiet. Our room was comfortable and 'old-school', and the view from the stoep in front of it was magical. The host was friendly and informative about the area and its history. There are interesting walks to be had, but we did not have time to do them. We intend to return when we are down that way again. (The breakfast (an optional extra) was farm-style and tasty. There was a friendly cat which gave the place a homely feeling and made our stay extra special)

The en-suite bathroom was very clean and functional, but it could do with an upgrade.

The place is beautiful, the garden outside is amazing. Very peaceful and quiet. It accommodated my daughters as well as they do have few facilities for kids to play with. The food there is delicious trust me. The staff is very friendly, available whenever you need them and very helpful

We slept there for 4 nights which was very nice I must say however only received room service twice

The location was fine. Attended a wedding in the area. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast not included.

PLEASE, PLEASE do not put strong smelling flowers like Jasmin in the rooms. I appreciate that the staff are making an effort to make the room nice, however, being an asthmatic, and very sensitive to Jasmin it was really unpleasant.

The setting is beautiful. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The gardens are pretty. The drive up the pass to get there is astounding.

The room looked bigger in the photos, although it was perfectly comfortable.

Really comfortable rooms in a gorgeous setting. The drive over the mountain from George was stunning, and we were made to feel at home once we arrived. There is a short walk you can do on the property to get a different view of the mountains and valley, a pool, a small play area for kids, and a lovely breakfast available from 8am.

Great location and area to explore. Excellent staff - clearly very experienced in hosting and making guests feel welcome and comfortable. Beautiful surroundings and facilities. The tea garden is definitely worth a visit - delicious home cooked meals to enjoy with a view of the valley. Perfect place to recharge, relax, and unwind. Safe and secure. Suitable for all ages.

Nothing we didn't like.

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we are comfortable. They went the extra mile to help us find our way in the area. The room was very clean and neat with fresh flowers in the room and the bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and whenever there is another opportunity we will go back.

Well kept property and beautiful landscape. makes one feel like in Tuscany with the rolling mountains! We stayed in the Welch House and were very comfortable. Hosts made our supper upon last-minute request and they were delicious. breakfast was beautifully presented and very nice too.
