Very kind and friendly staff. They have good and organized facilities like lounge, kitchen and outside area. Rooms and bathrooms were also nicely clean. The location was very good and safe. I was surprised (in a positive way) in how the place was peaceful. It's literally a home away from home. All staff and guest were very respectful regarding the co living good practices. This is definitely a place to relax mind and body. Highly recommended place to stay if you have high standards.

When we arrived, we got an upgrade to a private room so we had much more comfort than we expected. The private rooms are nice and spacious and there is a kitchen and chillout area

we hoped for a bit more social life in the main hostel, but there is no bar or anything like that where people could hang out. Maybe it was just the timing though, as apparently there were many people staying for work at the time

The hostel is wonderful. It is quiet so it is not a party hostel if that is what you are looking for. Jaquiline, the administrator/receptionist, was super kind and helpful. She made us feel very welcome from the moment we entered and she gave us great tips around the area including things to do and places to eat and was always asking whether we needed anything and asked about our day. We stayed at a private room and the facilities were great and had a lot of space. The Internet was very fast and also worked in the room. Cannot but recomend the hostel.

This hostel in Hermanus is an absolute gem, especially for backpackers seeking a well-organized and comfortable stay. Jacqueline and Marcus, the delightful hosts, go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Jacqueline was exceptionally helpful, offering invaluable tips on activities and the best local spots to eat. The rooms are lovely, peaceful, and equipped with everything you need for a convenient stay. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we will definitely be returning on our next visit to Hermanus. Highly recommended!

This place was perfect for our needs, we only wanted a place to sleep since we were only passing by this town, the room was super clean and comfy, the place had everything we needed and a great vibe, there was a really really reaaaaally nice lady at front desk at the time of our arrival (I feel bad because I cant remember her name but she was just the best), she helped us with everything we needed and gave us the best recommendations for dinner and breakfast, definitely will stay again next time I visit the whales at Hermanus.

The facilities at the backpackers were top-notch. The dormitory rooms were clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and ample storage space. The communal areas were spacious and inviting, offering a great place to socialize and meet fellow travelers. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything I needed to prepare my meals, and the common areas were kept tidy at all times. One of the highlights of my stay was the backpackers' organized activities. They offered a wide range of tours and excursions, allowing me to explore the surrounding area and experience the local culture. From hiking through breathtaking landscapes to visiting historical landmarks, there was always something exciting to do. Overall, my experience at this backpackers was nothing short of excellent. The combination of friendly staff, comfortable accommodations, and fantastic facilities made it a memorable stay. I would highly recommend this backpackers to anyone looking for a truly exceptional travel experience.

There is nothing I didn't like.

What an amazing backpackers. So comfy, so clean, so relaxing and quiet thanks to its location. I absolutely loved everything about my stay there, from the friendly and welcoming management and staff, to the beautiful facilities, the well-equipped and very functional kitchens and so on. There is everything you need, from a strong wifi signal and some lighting during load sheddings, to large and (quiet!) wooden lockers, and beautiful common areas with nice couches and television set. There's even a swimming pool and very pleasant backyard. I really wish I could have stayed longer. The owner's dog is so cute, too...

The whole place is very clean, the kitchen is well equipped and comfortable. The shared area are nice and cozy. The room had heating which was very important.

Even though the place is a backpackers place the shared area is “closed” from 10pm and even when we stayed in our room (and weren’t that loud and weren’t partying) we were asked by the staff to keep it quite. I get the purpose of this rule and respect it but then this place is not “classic” backpackers and should be mentioned in the property description or rules. The staff was nice but a bit strict, and we are not school kids.

I stayed in a private room at this charming, beautiful place and it was super. Very spacious bathroom, comfy beds, pool right outside, lots of shared space both inside and outside. Very nice and helpful staff + Chloe the dog. You easily can walk to town and the cliff pathway, and the town in itself is safe enough to walk even at night. Super place!

I missed a coffee-maker! But they have kettles - even in the room - so instant coffees works well until you can get to a coffee shop in town :)

I loved this place! Jacqueline and Marcus were always so helpful and friendly - made me feel right at home from the start. Location is perfect. Walking distance to the restaurants and cliff path and yet still quiet enough for me to sleep through the night. The vibe was just amazing. I had a really lovely roommate and all the other guests were so nice to me. I was really sad to leave. Will definitely stay here again!
