If you want to be in the middle of the action (lots of clubs and restaurants in walking distance!) this is a great place. Expect to hear music til 3-4 am (we slept through it fine and if you like amapiano this was a welcomed background!!) Facilities were awesome—having a full kitchen and washer dryer was unexpected (note your unit may not match the picture on booking.com but arguably our room was nicer than we had expected). The team was so kind and lovely! It also felt very safe. There’s a mix of hotel rooms and apartments so it was a cool way to meet local people too. Internet was a bit spotty so not fully equipped for remote working, make sure you have a backup option if trying to work.

For me this is the best Hotel for the Maboneng Lifestyle, I have recently stayed on the 26 May 23, On arrival I was met by a lady at reception she gave me my keys and went with me to open my room, the bad thing was the light that was off on the Corido and she did say it will be fixed, later I Met Bonga by the LIFT and told him about the light, 5 min later Bonga had fixed it, Room was clean with coffee Amenities, What more could you want from them because you are there to Party not Sleep , the Hotel is best enough to provide you the safety you need, Can you guys put WIFI maan no ways remember we take lots of pictures. Bonga is awesome maan and so are the ladies I saw. I will definitely go back again

The room was a decent sizes. It was clean and had the amenities you’d expect: towels, toiletries a decent hairdryer and bedding. The building’s facilities were a strong pull factor too.

The location. I ultimately ended up leaving and staying in Sandton. Maboneng is a vibrant and culturally brilliant location, but I missed the freedom of walking and experiencing the city as a solo female traveller in the are the ways I am able in Cape Town and Johannesburg. So ultimately booked a hotel room in Sandton in order to guarantee that experience. Also, the guidance they give you prior to arrival, whilst super necessary when you’re making a late night commute to the hotel can feel a tad menacing. Certainly puts things into perspective.

I enjoyed the location of this hotel. There was a lot of space in the room and it felt like a studio apartment as there were tea and coffee facilities as well as well as a hob to prepare cooked food.

I didn’t like that I arrived during load-shedding and had to walk up seven flights of stairs with a 24kg worth of baggage. This was very inconvenient after having travelled a very long way to reach South Africa. I am also thoroughly disappointed that there are no generators in such a big hotel. It was very dangerous to return to the hotel at night time and not have any lights on any of the floors or on the stairwell or in the rooms. This is a major hazard and this hotel has a duty of care to its customers to improve this immediately.

Walk back into memory lane I got to understand Johannesburg better...through the art collection in the room I was sleeping in.

We got lost in the morning trying to find our car in the parking lot. Not knowing how to exit as there were no clear instructions on how to do that. Leaving my room to the parking lot felt like I was walking into a maze. Having to find the front desk and security staff to open the gate for me.

The penthouse was nice. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else based on the reviews.

Arriving late and still having to wait 30 minutes to check in. It was New Years Eve. There were people not even staying there hovering all over the place. Cold water shower on day 2 but it was fixed. Property itself is a bit run down.

The penthouse is beautiful with breathtaking views. The decor of the penthouse gives you a feeling like you are in new York very luxurious and sophisticated. The space is open and in the heart of manoneng which is walking stance from nearby restaurants and shops

The check in process could go a bit smoother. We had to wait quite a while for the host to show us to our room. They could have a check in guide mailed to guests before arrival. Some of the lights didn't work but the host was able to rectify that .

I liked that the staff was friendly. My room had the best lighting and the price was affordable. I definitely recommend. Enjoyed the art spaces

I didn't like that the WiFi connection was bad and I couldn't use the TV ...it was not user friendly

Excellent, central location for getting around Johannesburg. Staff were helpful in providing suggestions in navigating the city.

There is only one elevator, so sometimes guests had to wait to use it.

Great value for money. Large studio with comfortable bed. Central location in Maboneng, right at the Main Street with all the bars. This does generate quite some noise so keep this in mind. And our hostess was extremely helpful.
