The room was beautifully appointed & very comfortable. The provision of extra blankets was most appreciated. The kitchen facilities were great although the fridge was rather noisy. The breakfast was most enjoyable- with very good coffee & the pastries & cheeses were perfect for our dietary needs. The service was great & very accommodating in all ways. Wendy(manageress) certainly made us feel so welcome.

Although we didn't use the outside shower- it could use a good cleaning. The pedestrian exit gate is rather dangerous with a bar across, as well as the entrance is very narrow for a big car.

Property and unit was very well kept and secured. Stocked with all the essentials you could need and even served up a great breakfast the next day. Not to mention generator backed up, which is great for load shedding and helping deal with JHB's cold weather.

Nitpicks to be honest, as the stay was fine, and the owner/staff have provided everything you could need. The ironing board provided in the unit was a bit on the small side, and the only place I could use it was the table at the windows, which left only a little space to operate in. Also, to no fault of the owner/staff, it would be nice if bottled water could be provided in the rooms, as the JHB water supply can be very iffy at times if you are visiting from outside the province, and it was a bit tedious to boil water and wait for it to cool.

The location was quite nice, the room was exceptionally large so if you stay with lots of luggage after a trip then you're sorted really. The wifi was very fast especially considering what I am used to with many hotels and other hospitality environments.

I was in a rush so I couldn't properly enjoy my breakfast, Selwyn is fun to chat to as well which may have been nice to explore more. The aircon remote either was not working or I am simply not smart enough to operate it. :D

Location was convenient and the property was very quiet and private. Staff were lovely and friendly as well as the host himself Selwyn. Absolutely enjoyed my spacious loft with all the trimmings of comfort. A definite home away from home !!!!!
