Superb breakfast freshly prepared by host. Very helpful host who let me use his phone to make bookings. Very beautiful house renovated in the old fashion.

Our only issue was mosquitos. We were eaten by them all night and there was no mosquito net. I highly recommend the owner to install a mosquito net above the bed because it ruins the next day when one cannot sleep.

It's a beautiful room and the hosts where very attentive. Great attention was given to the room and all the small details made for a great stay. Breakfast was fantastic. Love the wrap around porch, and there is cozy seats available outside of the room where you can read a book, or just relax and drink a glass of wine.

It is an old old house, furnished accordingly, but with modern conveniences like great bathroom and TV. Loved the tapestries on the walls and breakfast room is delightful. Elaine our hostess, went out of her way to make us feel welcome There is a terrace, looking on to a pretty garden, which was lovely for taking our morning coffee(available in our room) A lovely overnight stay, thank you

We were greeted by two exceptional hosts and made most welcome in their home. Wiki & Elaine (hopefully I have spelt your names correctly) have a lovely old property that they are renovating and so far so good. The room was more than adequate; the bed very comfortable; shower was hit and refreshing and the cooked breakfast was a welcome treat. We wound stay again and wish you all the best in your ventures.

The Montagu CBD was a little noisy but other than that no concerns.

absolutly nothing . it was like staying at old friends that like you and bend over backwards to make you comfortable . not intrusive , but they made sure we had everything we wanted . very knowlagable about the building as well as the history of the building and the surrounding area that was very interesting .

Die slaapkamer met alles daarin ook netso besonder soos Elaine en Wikkie! Julle 2tjies is baie spesiaal en ons is soos konings behandel! The premises are being refurbished by the owners and it is a work in progress. This didn’t effect our stay at all, no noise or anything. The dining room is charming, real step back in time.

Exceptional attention to details,beautifully set breakfast table,with gorgeous crockery and cutlery,super breakfast, and Elaine and Wikkie could not have been better hosts.

Wilkie has a huge task ahead,to restore this wonderful old house,so some parts still being restored, obviously with loadshedding, the area quite dark if one comes back after sunset,but this is beyond all of our control.

We can highly recommend Montagu Manor. At this moment they only have one room in a beautifully, newly renovated historic house which makes the stay extremely personal. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It is located in a quiet street just off the main road, very convenient. We would stay at Montagu Manor again at any time.
