Our family suite was very spacious and fully equipped. The beds were fitted with electric blankets too. The common spaces were beautifully appointed and we loved lounging by the pool. The location is within walking distance to supermarkets and restaurants, and only 5 mins drive to Marloth nature reserve. The hosts were generous and thoughtful, gave us many good recommendations on the neighborhood.

Lovely room, spotless bedding and towels, under roof parking, big bed, big shower. There is a cosy lounge with a fireplace in the main house where one could watch TV or just read and relax. The host is top notch. A special breakfast is available as an extra.

Although there was a wall panel that was on, we were there on one of the coldest nights of the year. The room was cold. The electric blanket was lovely when we got into bed though

A very warm welcome from Etienne who proved a fount of knowledge and suggestions. The room was comfortable and uniquely furnished. The easily accessable Cyprus's Cottage is very centrally located on the main street and close to several restaurants. The excellent breakfast was served on the terrace overlooking the beautiful front garden. Comfortable sitting room for guests. Secure private parking.

Regretted that I only booked one night. The area has a lot to offer.

We loved our stay, which unfortunately was too short (just one night). Etienne’s welcome was fantastic, and he gave us excellent recommendations for both the evening restaurant and activities. The accommodation is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Several restaurants are available within a 5-minute walk. I highly recommend this establishment.

Very nice and comfortable bed and bedding also nice and warm in the rainy and cold weather. Room was very spacious and all the necessary facilities were provided for our one night stay. They were able to accommodate us at very short notice. Very friendly and helpful,

The internet connection was up and down but our host sorted it out as soon as we alerted him of this.

The house was full of Old World character set in a peaceful location close to all amenities and within easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. The room was clean comfortable and well equipped. The pool was adequate with a good sitting area providing comfortable loungers and good quality towels. Great breakfast with a full range of choices served on the veranda overlooking the beautiful garden. The host Etienne was a mine of local knowledge which he shared by advising on visiting local attractions and route advice for our onward journey.

By now, we're back in the Netherlands after a simply wonderful holiday in South-Africa (and Mauritius). We have lots of wonderful memories and our stay in Swellendam was definitely one of them! The house was stunning! An old VOC house with a matching interior. But what really stood out for us was our host. A relaxed, funny, informative and hospitable and friendly guy. Thanks again for making our stay a memorable one!

This was a little gem and one of the highlights of our honeymoon! It was an unexpected stay as I got my accommodation dates mixed up a little. The location, gardens and ambiance was just perfect with an excellent friendly and welcoming host. Highly recommended for rest and relaxation after the arduous safari schedule!!:)

Pretty pool under the trees. The room was spotlessly clean, which we really appreciated!

We weren't made aware upfront that on day 2 the staff enter your room to change towels. We would have preferred notice so we could decide if we wanted this or not. You can hear a lot through the walls.
