Comfortable room, in lovely gardens and with a beautiful swimming pool, which my wife was glad to use after a long drive. The hotel was close to good restaurants and cafes, and other local shops, all within walking distance. The owner booked us a table at an excellent restaurant nearby for dinner. Breakfast was very good and more than adequate. And we were able to park just outside our room. We stayed for just one night, and wished it could have been longer. We would happily stay here if we return to Swellendam.

Great location close to the pld Drosdty and all of the best restaurants. Great and friendly staff, very polite and they worked hard. Lovely breakfasts in the old restaurant and the little villa room are spread around a beautiful garden with one small pool and one large pool. Great views from your room of the the Langeberg mountains. We enjoyed our short stay.

The restaurant had closed which was a shame. My wife has mobility issues so we had to go off site to eat, however, the beautiful Drosdty restaurant is just across the road.

The old, colonial guesthouses look great, are well maintained and well equipped. The set up around the swimming pool is nicely done. Nice plus was the swing and trampoline for kids. It was a pity that we only stayed one night, The accommodation but also the scenery is inviting to stay longer.

The restaurant was unfortunately not open. It was a bit of a challenge to find a place for dinner on Christmas Eve but we had a nice dinner at the neighbor (Republic of Swellendam).

Everything was exceptional, the location, the little cottages each having their private terrace. Breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly.

The quality of the beds. We stayed in a cottage with two single beds which were not very comfortable. The mattresses were saggy and should be renewed.

Beautiful place. Lovely setting and pool area. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Great location with lovely shops, bars and restaurants in easy, safe walking distance. Lovely little town. Great breakfast and brilliant staff. I can’t praise it enough! Thank you!

The pool areas and grounds are really lovely! breakfast was also delicious.

the shower door was a bit broken but that’s not a huge issue. The rooms could really easily be updated slightly with new lamps etc but again didn’t affect how much we enjoyed our stay.

Really enjoyed our stay at Roosje van de Kaap. The owners and staff are very friendly and gave us some great suggestions for restaurants to eat (walking distance) as well as places to visit in the area. Very much enjoyed our stay here and can highly recommend.

Wonderful hostess, place with an inspiring mission statement, historical rennovated buildings with a lot of character. There was a heater and the blankets were very warm. Great location with secure parking. Nice breakfast!

Large suite,king size bed, couch, flat screen TV, door to a little patio set in the garden. Gorgeous slipper bath, large walk in shower, separate toilet. Amazing country style garden. Really nice breakfast from Patience- wide variety from continental to full English breakfast.Good quality toiletries provided

Great location beautiful setting, the head house keeper went above and beyond to book restaurants for us, rooms were very clean and comfortable, would certainly love to return
