The facilities are really great, Beautiful Ambience. I was celebrated on my birthday with nice singing and I was able to get a cake organised ahead of time.

I think there can be improvements done with the food. There were some hits but also misses when it came to the food. Also Wifi range being limited to the Reception building and also half the time was not connecting properly. Offering for activities does not cater for when you are travelling alone as there is a min of 2 people requirement to can book and with the establishment being so far from tourist attractions I think allowing to be able to book on your own would be great. Also have Maps for the hiking trails on Hand as well. More options for the spa would not hurt either.

Location: Muluwa Lodge is in a wonderful, peaceful location with fantastic views - sitting around the fire pit as darkness fell is a memory my family will treasure. Service/Staff: However, it is the Manager Tanya and all the staff that make this place special. Everyone is genuinely friendly and this creates an intimate experience for anyone staying here. Food: The food served at dinner is exceptional.- beautifully presented and all freshly prepared. And, the granola at breakfast was the best I've ever had! Fig chutney jummy! Wholemeal seeded muffins delicious!! Five stars to the head chef! Spa: Lovely spa facilities with a great range of treatments and a very good, lovely therapist (apologies, I can't remember her name but it means Wisdom, which she clearly has!). Rooms: Bedrooms/bathrooms are huge - comfy beds, amazing shower and beds that look out over your private terrace into the trees. Animals & BIrds: You should spot monkeys, worthogs, giraffe, zebra, impala etc on the reserve especially if you take a drive with Richard (which you should as he's such a lovely, informative guy) or take a trek on one of the many safe hiking trails around the estate. However, it is the amount of different species of BIRDS which we loved - a true birders paradise especially if your a visitor to SA! Muluwa Lodge is a lovely, relaxing place to stay for as long or as short as you need. We stayed en-route from Johannesburg to the Kruger for 3 nights. We left relaxed and re-energised, but after one night in our next location wish we were back there! Thanks to all the lovely staff at Muluwa xx

Our stay was truly exceptional. I took my grandmother for a getaway to celebrate her 77th birthday, and the hospitality was outstanding. The staff took excellent care of her, accommodating her dietary needs by adjusting dinner meals and providing a stepper in our room for easy access to the bathtub. They also brought cushions to the restaurant so she could sit comfortably. On her birthday, the staff sang and danced for her, making it an unforgettable experience. When she misplaced her cellphone, they ensured it was returned to Johannesburg within a day. The peaceful atmosphere, stunning scenery, and friendly staff made our stay delightful. Tania, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure every guest felt special. I can’t wait to visit again.

It's a cool lodge away from the city life Stuff: It was stunning to get friendly stuff members. I had arrived late for check-in and I was happy that they didn't give me attitude They still gave me proper treatment Food: The food was stuff they have variety, at first I thought because breakfast and supper are inclusive it wouldn't taste nice, I was wrong, the food was lovely and different 😋 Rooms: the tent area gave the luxury tent style and its private. What I love the most is that they cleaned our rooms while we were away and came back tired but with a fresh clean room Activities Picnic: I think this is the best activity they offer, it's worth every penny, it's more like a game drive with the same experience of seeing animals and driving to the top of the mountain, I'd recommend the sunset 🌇 it gives the best view Pool: the pool area is one of the coolest amenities they have, it's best to swim at night the water is very warm 😅 Security: the place has a tight security and made us feel secured on the visit They follow covid protocol rules The overall experience was fun, location is a bit close to everything Major tourist attractions are 1 hour way from the venue

Spa: It's very offodable, however there was just a lot of confusion in regards to the booking and one if the therapist didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. And they didn't have changing rooms and the ropes

The food was amazing and the staff awesome and attentive. Our treatments experienced at the spa was honestly right up there with the big franchises, not expected from a new facility at this venue, so was pleasantly surprised. The privacy and view from our unit was absolutely outstanding.

The unit that we stayed in can do with some maintenance ito sliding doors not working properly or not opening, gause doors with no gause, pamper shower heads not working and outside table top broken. Also, not allowed to walk / drive on the extended property which could be prohibitive for active people.

Ooh a little piece of heaven,The Food, not a single day we were disappointed, while we were out for the day we were looking forward to our supper and breakfast,The braai was an excellent warm night also,I need Tania to share the recipe on the soup at the braai, ooh and ofcourse Lebo the bartender,Your service was amazing and your spontaneous drinks, I’m so inlove with this lodge and everyone working there, from reception, maintenance, the porter with his red car fortune😂you doing an amazing work and we are coming back this time with kids and family. The massage ladies at the spa, masseurs, wooow,my partner even passed out and snored while getting pampered, they doing an amazing job,the Chef and the waiters and waitresses ,beautiful work and smiles are so warm. The gentleman who cleaned the pool and fixed our umbrellas every now and then😂😂 and the geyser issue we had was fixed by a snap of the day.Thank you so much and ofcourse our security guard at the gate for such a lovely welcome🙏🏽

It’s nothing to do with the lodge but our second night there was a fire somewhere in the surrounding area,we couldn’t sleep because of the smoke that found it way inside the tent. The electric blanket seems like it was for single beds in our tent, please have that looked at,it made cuddling very horrible as no one wanted to sleep in the cold sheet but kept to the end of the bed at the warmth 😂😂

The staff was really friendly! The chef on duty the whole weekend was superb. The breakfast was amazing just wish they had a few more options but it was really good. The Boma dinner was amazing, it was a wonderful experience eating beneath the stars. Our room had the most spectacular and serene views. Was wonderful waking up to the sunrise view everyday. Spent a lot of time in the pool because of the views and temperature of the water were just perfect. The spa facility made me feel like I was out of this world. This is definitely a great staycation hotel as well. You can just relax at the spa, chill by the pool or in your room cos of the views. So you can just eat, drink and be merry!

It was my birthday weekend and I saw they did a whole singing thing for other guests and they didn’t get to me on my night. Cos I think we left early after dinner. But thought at least the next day they would do something. Other than that had no issues.

Wonderful place if you love the nature and animals (there are giraffe around). The luxury tend is very confortable with a big bed. The staff was very kind and helpful in every moment. The hot stone massage in the spa was an incredible experience. The breakfast and the dinner were really good and with products of high quality. Highly recommended, it is near the Kruger airport, you can relax in their private reserve with a swimming pool and a beautiful view or enjoy different tours like the Safari in Kruger Park and Panorama tours (waterfalls and river canyon).

This was the best experience ever!!! The level of service was amazing! They really go all out to make you feel extra special! Tanya also makes you feel extremely valued. She takes the time to check in on you and ensure you have everything you need. The food is absolutely 5 star, delicious and personalized to your dietary requirements! Yummy breakfast and 3 course gourmet suppers to die for! We would definitely book again! We had stayed for our honeymoon, and they even took the time to surprise us with a romantic turn down! This experience was like no other and definitely value for money! We left feeling so relaxed! Thank you Muluwa Lodge for an amazing time!

My partner and I stayed at Muluwa for 3 nights and had booked a luxury bush tent. We arrived on Friday and were beautifully received by Fortune, who quickly checked us in, literally within 2 to 3 minutes, then ushered us to our tent. The tent was beautiful, but the view was partially covered by trees. We kindly asked if we could be moved to another tent with better views, and although they were fully booked, Fortune and the team did their best to find us another tent with amazing views. We knew right then and there that we were in for an amazing experience with great service. Later that evening, we were served a spectacular dinner, and our waiter Malome, who knew his wines and parings, was also very attentive. Saturday, while relaxed and enjoying our swim, after an amazing breakfast, Tania the GM, came to introduce herself and offered us an upgrade to one of their beautiful chalets and the rest of the weekend just got better and better. The weekend was honestly filled with excellent service, a great atmosphere, beautiful people, and pure relaxation for K and I. We would like to thank Lebo, Malome, Thandeka or Thobeka, Fortune, the owner of the place who was very kind but didn't get to get his name, the beautiful Tania, THE AMAZING CHEFS!!!, and the rest of the team for making the 4 days we spent with you better than what K and I had hoped for. It was very hard for us to leave by the time Monday arrived. We will definitely be back.

Having to leave the place.
