First of all the staff was very nice. They even gave me snacks when I left. The breakfast consist of a variaty of fruits, coffee/tea/juice and a toast with jam which is usually what I eat at home. There is a nice little garden where you can eat or hang out and the location is perfect. Right next to the sighseeing and little shopping streets in the hanok village.
The only con was that even if I was expecting a thin mattress, it was even thiner than what I thought. The first night was hard on my back. I folded the mattress in two for the second night and I slept like a baby so I suggest people to do that right away for a better sleep.

The Sungsim Hanok Guesthouse is perfectly located, in the very heart of Jeonju’s Hanok Village. My room was very well equipped, clean and kept the traditional aspect I was aiming to experience. The traditional bed was - despite all my doubts - quite comfortable! The staff were super nice to me and solution-oriented. I was welcomed with an iced tea and Korean cookies and was served breakfast every morning in my room.
My room was very small. It didn’t bother me but it can be a bit surprising. Also, there were some insects in the room, but obviously everything was cleaned up after I showed them to the staff. No big problems at the end of the day but it is worth mentioning these elements.

The hosts were super friendly and helpful, they recommended us great restaurant options. We were able to check in a bit earlier, which was very comfortable. The breakfast and the lunch package were also nice and the location of the guesthouse is very central in the hanok village, everything in walking distance.
The Futon bed was a bit hard to sleep on during the first night until I got used to it. The room was rather small and the ceiling light was very bright in the evening. At the beginning, the WiFi was slow, but after we asked the host about it, they improved it. Overall, a pleasant stay in Jeonju!

Sungsim Hanok Stay is located within Jeonju Hanok village itself and is easily accessible by Kakao Taxi from Jeonju bus terminal as well as Jeonju train station. We were received by the friendly English-speaking lady host who showed us to our room and gave a quick run through of the place. The place looks new and clean and is free from mosquitoes. There’s a small lovely garden in front of our room where we can hear the soothing sound of running water, a good place for reflection and reading. We were served a deliciously chilled welcome drink. The stay comes with a simple but healthy breakfast that’s substantial for us. The location of Sungsim is pretty good as it is on the Main Street that has some nice restaurants, cafes, and hanbok rental shops. It is also within walking distance to many places like Jeondong Cathedral, Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Nambu Market, and Korea Traditional Culture Centre. The host has been thoughtful in little ways and we were pleasantly surprised by the little farewell gifts at the end of our stay.

Since the first moment I arrived, I was received by friendly smiles from Mia and her husband who brought me a delicious iced tea as a welcome drink! Mia is a very lovely woman who made me feel very comfortable with her kindness and approach. The room was the perfect size for me, beautiful flower details in the bed linen and excellent air conditioning during the hot weather! The guesthouse is very well located and you can walk everywhere and enjoy the beautiful village. On the last day, she gave me a little bag with sweet and savoury snacks, such a nice touch!

Perfect location to explore the Hanok village. The accommodation was an introduction to basic Hanok type rooms and bedding (very firm mattress for our western bodies). The owners were warm and welcoming. We were given a refreshing welcome drink and snack on arrival. A beautifully prepared fruit platter and hot drink was included for breakfast. And there was a warm goodbye and parting gift of snacks perfect for our continuing trip.
Our room was close to the busy main tourist street of the Hanok village. It was quite noisy and didn't quieten down to fairly late. We would have welcomed a double thick mattress for our soft bodies 😔

The lady who runs the guesthouse (Mia - probably incorrectly spelled!) was amazing. She brought me tea when I arrived, I said I liked it, so she kept bringing it every time I got back from being out! She even gave me some snacks when I left and called a taxi for me. Such a gem. The hanok itself is cosy (my room was quite small but I believe the others are a bit bigger) with lovely heated floors and good water pressure in the bathroom. Location was excellent!
If there's one thing to improve I would look into slightly thicker (or perhaps just new) floor mats. Mine had been used enough that there was a bit of a trough in the middle.

Stunning hanok right in the centre of the hanok village - you couldn't be better positioned to go for a leisurely stroll around the village and see the beautiful architecture. The hanok itself is very clean and comfortable (obviously you'll be sleeping in a futon but that's a given) - the bathroom is very clean, modern and dries very well despite being a hand-held shower, and the floors are heated and soft which was very welcome in winter! The breakfasts are fresh fruit including local persimon, which is a welcome freshness when travelling in Korea. But above all, the host is extremely kind, attentive and helpful - we were able to store our bags after check out with no issues, and she even prepared a snack kit for each of us for our flight to Jeju island! Honestly couldn't recommend it more highly - the perfect place to stay if you're looking for a proper hanok experience in Jeonju! (Goes without saying but all the sights and best bibimpap places are around the corner)
Nothing, it was excellent!

I loved loved loved this guesthouse. The hosts were super nice. The rooms was lovely and clean and cozy. Sleeping in a hanok was a must for me but I forgot I have back issues and sleeping on the floor just was not for me but thatw as a me issue. I got felvious tea when I came. Bought lunch and ate it in the beautiful garden in the rain. Next day they made me tummy breakfast and even a cute little snack bag for my travels. I'd definitely go back (but maybe ask for some back support). Highly highly recommend this place.
Nothing.

The property is located in Hanok Village, where everything is within walking distance. The room is a bit small, but clean and cozy. It is equipped with everything it needs and there is also underfloor heating. The owner was very nice and friendly. Upon arrival he offered snacks and mandarin green tea. Breakfast was also served every morning (coffee, juice, toast, jam and fruits). On the day of my departure, I took the bus to Seoul very early in the morning so the owner gave me a package with lots of snacks for breakfast. I couldn't thank him enough and would definitely come back on my next trip.
