-Most of the receptionists speak above-average English with American accent, whereas the reservation department people (on emails) cannot convey messages clearly due to poor English. -Jacqueline at the reception is extremely helpful and friendly. The lady manager is even eager to help!! -The street in front of the hotel is spacious. -The toilet+shower is very small but very sufficient in all respects. It's very functional! -The room is provided with illy coffee with creamer and sweetener, fantastic! -Fully carpeted room, very comfy and clean! -Rooms are not as big as Sotetsu's but they are functional. -The rooms are full-height glazed. -The gym is 24 hours.

-The corridor is unnecessarily dark so if you drop anything, use a flashlight! -The windows can not be opened. When you need some fresh air, go downstairs! -The air-con is difficult to master. It got so hot that I had to wake up in the middle of the night. But the window glasses cannot be opened. I had to take off my clothes. -There is no cafe or restaurant. There is only a take-away food counter! (The outdoor seating area is closed in winter) -The toilet seat is not heated so it can be cold for some people in the winter.

Spacious room, very clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The bathroom is nice and clean and good shower. Very close to bus stops and close commute to coex mall (20 min walk) and lotte world adventure (30 min bus). Airport shuttle just outside too

The room was loud, I was on the traffic side and there was loud cars and road works all night. The rooms are not sound proof, could hear above and beside me stomping and yelling in their rooms

Great location with a walking distance to a lot of popular places in Gangnam. Beautiful view from the room and a convenience store next door.

Nice bed, great shower, clean room. Nice, friendly and helpful staff, good location, not many eateries really close by, but a short travel by buses will bring you to COEX Mall, with many selection of restaurant. Travel a little bit further, get you to Gangnam's great food district.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Location was very good and real selling point for this hotel. Walking distance to Coex Mall, restaurants, bars and metro stations. Bed was one of the comfiest I’ve slept in across all my travels; bravo! Staff very pleasant also.

A little disappointed with the hotel bar; very little choice but with so much within walking distance I guess this isn’t enough to put you off really.

Everything was GREAT with our stay at Aloft Seoul Gangnam Hotel! Staff - Front desk staff was very accommodating and efficient. Fast check-in and easy checkout. We booked 2 rooms and were given 2 beside each other. There was a problem with our room safe and a staff immediately came over to fix it. We had tons of luggages and the staff willingly helped us carry them to our waiting airport limousine taxi (considering the heavy snowing that day). Room - The room was spacious and smelling fresh. The bed, pillows and sheets were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean, with complete amenities. Breakfast - The buffet spread was not a lot, but the taste/quality was good. American breakfast was served together with some Korean staples. The bacon was cooked 2 ways - crispy or chewy; great for those who have preferences on how they want their bacon. A simple detail that is otherwise given less attention in most hotel buffets. Coffee was fresh and good-tasting. Location - it is a bit far from the city center, around 45-60 minutes by train. But that was no problem because of the efficient transportation system. The nearest train station is around a 10-minute walk from the hotel. There is a nearby convenience store and a Starbucks a few buildings away. There was not much restaurants around the area. Starfield COEX Mall is just a few stations away, but you can walk if you have 20 minutes to spare. Given the good service, cleanliness, comfort, facilities, convenience, staff efficiency and food quality - this hotel gives you value-for-money. I highly recommend this hotel for a family of 4 staying for 3 nights or more.

As mentioned above, location was a bit far from city center. But this is not a factor, if you consider all the positive things about the hotel. Gangnam is quiet and not too crowded. That's why we decided to stay in this area.

Modern, clean and well-equipped hotel, accessible by airport limousine bus and located relatively close (within walking distance) to several bus stops and subway station. A convenience store and a good café located close by. Laundry facilities available, comfortable beds and spacious rooms with good shower facilities. Daily bottled water offered.

Overall it was a very good experience, however the hotel location is a bit far from the vibrant Gangnam areas, requires a bus ride to either Garosugil, Dosan Park or Coex, so no shopping or eateries nearby. Room and bed was very comfortable, only downside was that only one vanity kit was offered for two people and they often forgot to replenish it. Laundry facilities are very limited as they only have one machine which cannot be booked.

Perfect high-class location, which is very safe in every sense. Really close to Cheongdam metro station to take a train to wherever you need to go. Same with bus stops. Receptionists are all nice and helpful, and speak English well. They explained a lot about money exchange, transportation issues and purchases from Seoul on-line shops for foreigners. Thanks a loooot! Room service is no failure - clean bedsheets, towels and bathrobes every day, rubbish taken out, water supplied. It's funny, but we loved a lot the scents of soap, body lotion etc.

Made several attempts to use laundry on our own, but every time it was occupied by someone else. Then left a bag with clothes to be washed in the room for the hotel personnel to take, but for some reason they didn't do it. Not a big problem but anyway it would be nice to be able to use laundry after a busy day around the city

The staff at the reception is more than nice. We could check in one hour before the regular times and the process was very fast and friendly. Unfortunately our room was marked as “ready” and we went to the 8th floor and the room was not done yet. We came back down and the man at the reception ask us 10 times to forgive him! He was clearly sorry for the inconvenience. If we visit again we will go back. Location is good if you stay in Gangnam. Bus to the airport stops almost right in your door. Shower was amazing.

We had breakfast and that day apparently they had an event planned in the room. We were encouraged to eat “fast” so that they can clear everything at 10:00am. That didn’t feel nice.

the airport bus was so infrequent that i cannot use it. That was inconvenient!
