1. Location - located smack dab in the middle of Myeongdong and Chungmuro stations, this makes dears very accessible and convenient. Only a 5-7 minute walk to Myeongdong Walking Street and 2 minutes to bus station headed directly to Namsan Seoul Tower. 2. Views - we were very lucky to have gotten a room with a view of the N. Seoul Tower. Waking up in the morning and going to sleep with this view made our stay worthwhile. 3. Staff - having stayed in Taipei, Hong Kong, and other Asian cities, we had expected early check-in to not be available until the published check-in time. But surprisingly, when we arrived at 10:30am, we were allowed to check-in immediately which we highly appreciated. The staff are all very accommodating and will make every effort to make sure they are able to communicate properly. 4. The bed and pillows - OMG. This was the best sleep we had in any of our recent trips! 5. Room Storage - storage everywhere! They are very generous with wardrobe space and other storage space in the room. 6. Check-out - we had to check-out early at 6am and it took literally 1 minute to check-out. Mind-blown.

Nothing. The best stay we’ve had at a hotel in a while.

This place was so lovely and staff were very accommodating. Facilities such as a kitchen, free washing/drying, common area were available for us to use. The hotel also offers items to rent free of charge, for example, tables, chairs, irons etc. Location was a 10 min walk to myeongdong (which honestly didn’t even feel like a 10 min walk) and right outside of Chungmuro station exit 4, note that if you have luggage, best to exit near exit 7 for elevator or exit 5 for escalator. Convenience stores are so close by and also have close access to the airport limousine and public transportation.

When I wet my towel, it gave a very strong smell of chlorine so I was a bit concerned to have it in contact with my skin given its sensitivity, but other than that I didn’t have any reaction and the towels were replaced daily. Also wished we had access to the rooftop but I think it belongs to a different owner

Reception available for help or questions 24/7, laundry and dryer machines on second floor next to a lounge available all time, very clean, bar on 14th floor, very close to one of the most popular tourist areas, also just next two two metro stations; I spoiled myself by staying on the 13th floor - room was with a great view, amazing bathtub (also with a view) plus shower and…Japanese style of toilet (if you know what I mean 😛🤭)

I had an excellent stay at Dears and highly recommend this hotel to everyone! My room was spacious, quiet, and clean. My sheets and towels were changed everyday and there were two complimentary bottles of water in the fridge every day. The room included all the amenities you can imagine, from shampoo and conditioner to hand and body cream. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was a shared space/kitchen at the ground floor which offered complimentary coffee/tea and breakfast (e.g cereal, cookies). The rooftop bar was very beautiful with amazing views from the city. The staff were incredibly nice and polite. At some point, I forgot a bracelet at a local sauna I visited, and the wonderful lady In reception called the owner of the sauna for me and helped me retrieve it. The hotel is located at the best spot possible: in between Chungmuro and Myeongdong station. The airport limousine bus can drop you off and pick you up from Chungmuro station (2-3 min walk) from the hotel. There are convenient stores very close to the hotel as well as a bar and the hotel is literally a 10-15 walk from Myeongdong. I absolutely recommended Dears and will certainly stay here again when I revisit Seoul. Thank you to the hotel staff for my wonderful stay!

When we checked in to the room the room was very dusty.. I mean very dusty. The room were not dusted at all and since we checked in late night when I called the front desk they said we had to wait till morning for house keeping. The next day the house keeping lady came and cleaned it and the problem solved! It was so much better! After that I cannot complain! no issues! The hotel beds are one of the most comfortable beds I've seen and the house keeping lady is so nice and cleaned the room and changed the bed sheets almost everyday unless you tell her no and she made sure we were not short on any amenities.... the front desk staffs are also very helpful and very friendly since I was not familiar w/ the local area I had so many questions from the near by hospitals to the post offices and they were nice to help me at their best ability. And the location is what makes this hotel exceptional. It is kind of tucked in at more not so busy area but also close to everything from the hanok village to Myeongdong shopping district and all the center city has to offer within 20 min w/ subway or bus. I was very satisfied w/ the location of this hotel. Convenient stores near by, bus stations and subway stations all within reach. And all the good restaurants are near by as well. Overall very happy experience..if you are traveling and want to see Seoul and looking for more like resident type hotel rather than those typical business hotels....this is the hotel. Please check out the rooftop view during your stay!! It almost looks like the central park view in NY! Lol You can see the gorgeous N-tower right in front of you.. So beautiful also the laundry room and the lounge was so convenient and relaxing! It was available for guests who are staying longer period.

The remote control did not work after 10 days... the front desk staff changed the battery for me and it still did not work. Lol only bad thing I can find.

I am staying at the same hotel for the third time (although it was under a different name then). It is so close to the shopping and dining streets of Myeongdong. The metro stop is 2 minutes away. The hotel is strategically located, it is easy to go anywhere in Seoul from there. Our room was very cozy and quiet, I felt like at home. We were there for 7 days. The hotel also has a microwave and a small kitchen corner that can be used if necessary. In addition, there is a cozy rest area. You can get to the hotel from Incheon Airport by Airport Shuttle bus no. 6001 and 6015 (price 17 000 KRW by cash only). And across the street you can go back whith the same buses. There are also many small shops and cafes nearby. N-Tower is near too. What more could you want!?

Everything was good! I hope I have the opportunity to stay here again someday :)

Really enjoyed our stay. Convenient location (between 2 stations and most main attractions). The hotel room was very clean and check-in/check-out process was very quick. Highly recommended.

Location is great, close to Myeongdong and N Seoul Tower. It's also located very close to subway stations, only a couple of minutes away, so very easy to access if getting the Airport train to Seoul Station. The room itself was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also very new and clean, with nice shower. We also appreciated the 12pm checkout as standard and we were able to check in an hour or so early without additional cost.

Unfortunately the rooftop has been closed since March. Unclear if this is long term or not, but it wasn't available for our stay in early April. A shame as this was one of the draw cards for this hotel and why we booked it, we also heard other people complaining about it being closed. We did have a room facing a bright billboard and the road which was a bit loud, but fine with an eye mask.

At first, when I saw this hotel, I was like "Ok, a 3* hotel. It looks nice, clean and minimalistic" and as a solo traveler I didn't need much TBH. All I wanted was a safe, central located hotel, that is clean and quiet. And it delivered exactly that. 10 minutes walk from Myeongdong busiest street. 2 minutes walk from Chungmuro metro station. It was very clean, they provided 2 water bottles as a welcome gift and every day if you wanted new towels, 2 bottles of water were gifted as well. They gave me the room I wanted even without asking for it (the one with a full window wall)! And at a higher level! And for this I am really thankful! The view I had over the city was so pretty. The AC worked excelent, the water pressure and temperature were perfect every day. I could barely hear any other people in the hotel, so I guess they have sound proof walls or really thick walls? The bed and pillows were comfy for me. Every night I slept like a baby a full 7-10hs sleep. The hotel provives all the necesities (comb, soap, Q-tips, toothbush, shaving kit, bathrobe etc.). I had like 5 towels in the first night. There's even teabags and sugar where the kettle and microware are. Also, you have a cipher safe in the room if you need one... and a fridge. The staff speaks good English and were really nice. I had a really great time at this hotel and next time I'll travel to Seoul I'll definetly choose this hotel again if available!

Great location. Close to the Chungmo-ro train station, and one stop from Myeongdong station (although it is also within walking distance). Large room (13th floor), with full size fridge/freezer. Great views of the N Seoul Tower, and walking distance to the cable car. Free laundry facilities were great.

The information about the property said that there was a double bed and a sofa bed. There was no sofa bed - only a couch - which was disappointing. However, the staff helped make it work, by providing bedding without an additional charge.
