Namsan Hill Hotel

Clean and comfortable stay although room might be a bit small for some people. It's nearby to Namdaemun market, Myeongdong shopping street, and N Seoul Tower cable car and all are walkable distance. Luggage drop of before check-in time and after check-out is allowed. Reception could speak manageable English and helpful when we need to book a taxi to Seoul station at 5am.

The only minus is it's location is uphill, so if you're bringing a big luggage, it's a tedious walk up if you're planning to walk from the subway station. Or else, just grab a taxi that cost 5000-8000krw from Seoul Station. If you're on backpacks, why not get a good exercise uphill right?

The facility was actually pretty good for what it costs, the value was awesome. The staff was great. They ordered me taxis and were very accommodating. The room was exactly as shown in the photos and it was really quiet at the location. it’s literally across the street from the cable car to get to Seoul Tower which was great. I can’t really complain about this hotel because it is what they said it was, a simple room no frills, in a great area for most things you want to do in Seoul.

The beds are a little firm, if you have back issues or something you’ve been warned.

The hotel is located on top of the hill only 5-7 minutes away from the metro station. the neighborhood itself was very quiet and safe. The hotel provides water every day as well as cleaning. My room had a huge bed and it was very comfortable, a small fridge. Also I was glad that the air con was working properly. The stuff was very kind and friendly. The location is perfect as you can easily walk to many places without using public transport.

I don’t know why but it was so stuffy in my room every time I came back. maybe it was because of high humidity or something but it was impossible to stay in the room without a working air con. Every time before falling asleep I had to cool down my room. However during each night I woke up to turn on air con for several minutes as it was too stuffy. this was only one inconvenience during my stay.

Staff were very nice. The location is amazing, although its a bit uphill but we didn't have big luggage with us so it was an easy walk. It is very close to the station and have a lot of restaurants around it. 10 mins walk to a big shopping mall and to Myeongdong. Our room was bigger than we expected, the toilet was big too. Everything was clean.

Only one little tiny downside was that our room located on the ground floor, could hear a lot of noise from the lobby early in the morning (people ringing the front desk bell, check in guests talking etc). But with this price, it is bearable. Would stay here again next time I visit Seoul,

Room was warm and cosy. Love the floor heating. Nice rainshower. Good size double bed. Quiet area. Close to Namsan tower cablecar and short walk to two subway stations and the Mall. (Approx 5-10 min). Room and Shower clean.

Bathroom walls (not the shower, shower was good) had a lot of mold. It looked like had not been cleaned for a while.

We got cleaning services every day that included new water, cups and towels + they made our beds and threw away rubbish, so overall, we never felt uncomfortable in the room. Wi-fi worked stabely, YouTube too. 4 grocery stores are open 24/7 or until late night in a 5 min-walk. There is a fridge in the room, a microwave and a water cooler in the hall. Staff at the desk was extremely nice and polite.

It was hot and humid enough in the room if an air conditioner was off, so make sure you don't leave any perishable products outside of a fridge.

it’s very near the train station, which is accessible to a lot of places. the 10 mins walk doesn’t really feel like 10 mins as you pass through restaurants, cafes and convenience stores. there’s also a laundromat if you need so. it is very near the namsan hill cable car, and they had a ‘instragrammable’ spot next door. the rooms are also clean and everything comes in a standard hotel package which i love as the price was so affordable. staff is very nice as well and there’s a microwave downstairs that you can use to heat up your food. overall, a very good experience for a solo traveller or for a couple.

the journey to go to the hotel is going up a very steep road, so you don’t have very good legs or have heavy luggages, I suggest taking a taxi or… just be prepared. as i went during a hot season, i was suffering a bit with my mask on.

Value for money. The room is huge compared to other places. Its 12-15 mins walk from Seoul Central station and 10 mins by taxi. We literally in the start of Namsan Seoul Tower hike trail which I enjoyed the most. 15-20 mins walk to the central of Myeongdong Market. Easy access to Bus and Metro so you can go anywhere. A lot of restaurants and convenient store near to the hotel.

The place is a bit old but they maintain the cleanliness. I just wish they have coffee in the room.

I loved the room, it was very big! The reception was very nice and the hotel looked new.

Because we were at the first floor, we could never open the window cause would always come sewer smell from outside, which is very sad because the room was very nice. And in the bathroom, the glass that separate the shower from the toilet wasn't big enough so the bathroom would easily get wet.
