This is such a great place to stay during the Camino. It’s a bit outside the center of town, but a short taxi ride will take you there in minutes. The room was nice, clean, and modern, with a great bed and everything you need to be comfortable. The pool was a big plus for us; the cold water was the best medicine for our tired legs. We slept so well, and the next day we were rested and ready to continue. They have a bar/restaurant which is great for chilling on the terrace. Also, the girl at reception was super nice and helpful with organizing our taxi the next day and attending to our questions and requests. Loved our stay here!

And Curuxa is one of the best hotels on the entire Camino. In a beautifully arranged natural environment, the hotel of modern architecture with its whiteness offers a wonderful feeling of beauty, peace, composition and relaxation. Additional features such as an outdoor swimming pool, a space for excellent massages and a SPA with sauna and jacuzzi are beautifully integrated into the space and make it even more beautiful and attractive. The rooms are spacious, beautiful, bright, clean and tidy and equipped with all the necessary things for a relaxing vacation. The owner, Mari and her daughter Sara welcome guests and take care of them as if they were members of the family and try to please everyone. The food for dinner and breakfast is the ultimate gastronomic pleasure of the very recognizable Galician cuisine. This is already my second visit to A Curuxa and I will definitely come again. Highly recommended to everyone who expects a little more from a hotel and accommodation than an ordinary overnight stay. Thank you Mari and Sara. See you again.

In A Curuxa everything is nice

Stopped here on the penultimate leg of the Comino Norte. It’s about a mile north of Azura and just off the route. The hotel is a sanctuary of peace with some very well designed bedroom pods in a rural setting. It has an intimate feel. The welcome was warm, with lunch rustled up quickly. I walked into Azura in the afternoon, which is a disappointing town that I could not seem to find the centre of. I retreated back to the hotel for dinner which was beautifully prepared and well balanced. The gazpacho especially good. There was only one other table dining that evening. The menu is short but well considered. I slept very well and slipped out for an early start the next day on the final stage to Santiago feeling refreshed.

Peaceful location. Very new and clean. Heating was on in bedroom when we checked in at 2pm which was great as it was raining and cool outside. Nice friendly young lady working at reception and serving drinks when reception was open and food in the evening (limited menu).

Cold bathroom and bathroom floor with no heating which was not great when weather was poor.

Beautiful and well appointed private guest room with patio.

Did not offer pick up service from town center. Transport service would align with what one would expect from an “exclusive “ property. Coffee not available in the morning until 8 am- a Nespresso in room would have sufficed. Location not conducive for a Camino pilgrim.

Beautiful place designed to relax. Rooms well designed with awesome details. Food quality was very good and the SPA really comforting… this hotel concept is amazing.

I sincerely think that the owners should take into account that the hotel business requires some training and expertise. They try to do their best but they have not reached the point of an outstanding service; example the use of lawn mower in late afternoon at the relax time which contradicts the concept of the hotel. The other thing is an A/C issue that was serious enough to cause discontent among the hotel guests.

Staff were lovely and able to accommodate us for dinner at short notice (the restaurant opposite was full and there are no other options close by). Food was good and local although few vegetarian and no vegan options, which is common on the Camino trail). Breakfast was charged as extra but included standard options for Spain (coffee, juice, toast). The rooms were clean and modern and the receptionist put out sun loungers for us to rest on by the pool, which was quiet and relaxing.

Far from the Camino trail (about 1.8km off) but we were aware of this when booking. It is out from Arzua centre so limited options for dinner.

On my Camino from Saint Jean Pied de Port in France to Arzùa in Spain I have been in thirtyfive hotels, six of them were with four stars and A Curuxa was the best one. This is very special small boutique Hotel for many reasons. Very exclusive design and arhitecture, very wide range of services and offers, from a very well equipped Wellness & Spa with sauna and jacuzzy, massage, nice outdoor pool with waterfall, loundry service, cosy small restaurant with fantastic food. You can have an unforgettable dinner on the terrace of the restaurant overlooking the beautiful green garden with a swimmingpool in the middle surrounded by white minimalist cubes in wich there are beautifully and imaginatevly decorated rooms with all the necessites for a comfortable stay and with a small patio in the background. Above all and the most important is Mari, the owner of the Hotel A Curuxa, who like a good angel cordialy and kindly, with the true smile on her face takes care how to fulfill every wish of her guests and Mari will proudly tell you the legend of the white owl after wich the Hotel A Curuxa was named. Thank you very much dear Mari, it was a very inspiring and wonderful feeling to be the guest in your Hotel A Curuxa. I will come again for sure.

Everything in A Curuxa vas perfect.
