All the staff were excellent, the reception team were always helpful. I arrived before midday and my room was made available which was very welcome as I was exhausted after walking the Camino. I speak very little spanish but I was reassured when speaking with reception, they all had a great handle on English. The breakfast was a brilliant start to the day especially for a long day of sightseeing in the beautiful city of Santiago, there was a fantastic variety of both the hot and cold selections and all options were identified easily with signage and all individually had serving spoons, therefore avoiding cross contamination. The bus stop to both city and the airport is conveniently a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The restaurant opening time for dinner was very inconvenient, 2030-2230 is a very late time to have food.

The customer service was excellent, so helpful, so generous and so polite and always ready to help at any hour, whether recommendations, bookings, facilities, everything. We wanted to check in early and they allowed us to check in instantly, we arrived early from the airport and it was around 10 and normally check in is at 3pm and we were able to check in around 10:30, 11 am I believe which was fantastic and so lovely of them. On our last day they booked a taxi for us and because we had to leave at 4:30am they prepared us little breakfast bags (fruit, sandwhich, yogurt and water) which was so kind of them, I have never stayed at a hotel with this level of hospitality and kindness. To say we felt welcomed is an understatement! All the staff were beyond accommodating, I don’t think any other hotel could match this level of customer service in a long time. Besides that they have a lovely pool, massage service which I wasn’t able to try but I think it’s probably great! And a lovely grand piano and live music band outdoors which was brilliant, lovely cafe with lovely food, I was able to take some up to my room. Cleaning services were great! The room was very clean, not a hair on the bed, no stains, very crisp and it had a lovely view. The location is great, 10 minutes from the centre by taxi, 15 minutes by taxi to the airport and taxi services are very cheap (was like 7 euros to the city) so we never took buses. There are restaurants and cafes within a 5 minute walk and a variation of foods, the hotel are also happy to call taxis for us whenever and prebook too.

Honestly nothing that I didn’t like but I wish there were more charging ports to use in the room but we made it work either way, there are glasses for water but no mugs for tea and wasn’t a kettle however I was able to call room service and they very kindly brought a kettle up to our room which was lovely, I was also able to get my tea from the cafe and bring it up so those things were accomodated and quickly!

Everything about this hotel was excellent; the room was clean and spacious, and the staff that checked us was kind and polite and gave us plenty of information about the hotel. Their breakfast meals were full of varied options every day we came down to eat, which was daily. Hugo, one of the front desk staff, was very accommodating and offered to change our room when we noted that our room was quite a room during the day because of the sunset at the side where our room was located. This was not needed after we realized that by opening the window and the wind, the hot air circulated out quite quickly. We were scheduled to check out at 12.00, and our flight was at 18.00. We called reception and spoke with Hugo about paying for a few more hours until 15.00, so we could rest for a while. They accommodated us without any further charge. It was not about not being charged for those hours, but how it was offered, and that's why I would recommend this place as a place to stay when you visit Santiago de Compostella. P.s. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and city so much that I decided to start learning how to speak Spanish with Duolingo

located on the edge of the town so not too manic

The car park was really difficult to park in and dark. Some uncaring person parked their car badly making it almost impossible to get my car out of its bay. I suggested to the hotel that they should record each car / registration number according to which bay they had parked in. They couldn’t currently tell who had parked their car in which bay making it impossible to track down the owner/ driver if a badly/ awkwardly parked car. I wasted nearly 30 minutes with the help of 3 kind members of staff to get my car out!

A large, modern hotel with meeting room facilities and parking available. The room was spacious, with a large bed and excellent mattress, in-room bathroom/toilet, airco, refrigerator, large screen TV, deposit-box in the room for valuables (though we could not make it work). There is a large swimming pool, but since it is not heated, it was too cold to go swimming on 19 May 2022. But what we liked foremost was the EXCELLENT breakfast buffet at Euro 9,10 excl. tax for TWO!

There was no hotel-directory available in the room with information about the hotel facilities, like opening hours for the swimming pool, how to use the depositbox, etc, etc.

- great hotel with all possible amenities: pool, restaurants, gym, great breakfast buffet, massages (i took the pilgrim massage and it was just amazing!) - very friendly staff that helped us with all requests and organized a taxi to the airport for us - for us it was the perfect stay to relax and spoil ourselves for a few days after walking the camino :-)

- a little bit away from the city center - of course a bit pricy for a pilgrims budget, but for our last days it was fine

The hotel was amazing they were very helpful with everything even though I don’t speak Spanish the English with everyone I encountered with was amazing. My favorite part was the hotel restaurant and room service the reception was amazing for helping me get around the city and giving us recommendations

Everything! Nice hotel, nice staff, clean. Lots of car park spaces just outside - very easy to park and enough spaces. Perfect hotel if you drive but don't want to drive to the centre of Santiago. Bus stop just 3 minute walk. There is one bus (6A) on Sunday and 2 buses the rest of the days (6 and 6A).

Nothing really. If I have to say something.... It would be that it's not easy to find a wall socket to charge your devices.

We had a great time at the hotel with its early check-in, complimentary parking, and scrumptious breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located near the city and easily accessible by car. The swimming pool was a fantastic bonus, especially on a hot July day.

After completing a section of the Camino, staying in hostel accommodation for 4 nights our stay at Oca Puerta del Camino Hotel was heavenly. Beautiful big comfy beds. The hotel was immaculately clean and offered an exceptional buffet breakfast. So much fresh fruit included. We were lucky enough to be offered an upgrade to a suite which was just amazing. Wonderful friendly staff. Nothing was a bother. Highly recommended.

There is nothing that we didn't like. Pity we couldn't stay longer.
