Large modern clean room. Rooftop swimming pool.

This was the second one night stay we were due to have in the Catalonia Roma. We were emailed the day before our stay to advise that we had been moved to a sister hotel ( Catalonia Barcelona) as the hotel was undergoing refurbishment. We were given a bigger room than the one we had booked and the hotel had all of the facilities as the Catalonia. Unfortunately for us we had booked the original hotel due to its proximity to the station as we had heavy bags and the restaurant we had booked was close to the original hotel which meant getting taxis rather than walking. otherwise a very pleasant stay.

Spacious and clean room. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Had a room safe though when reception gave me the code to get into it, as it was locked by the previous guest, I had to question how secure it actually was! My inside room was quite dark but quiet; so perfect for me. Hotel is in a quiet location away from the main Barcelona centre. It was an easy metro ride from the Airport followed by a 5 min walk from Sants (major train & metro station). To get to the busy part of Barcelona, it is a good 20/30 mins walk to the top of Las Ramblas. The hotel is in a residential area; has a couple of cafes for morning coffee/croissant if you choose not to have breakfast at the Hotel.

For the price, think coffee/tea making facilities should have been provided. I asked for a kettle but needed to have brought my own tea/coffee and mug.

Very friendly hotel...all the staff were very amiable. Very clean rooms with all the main facilities you'd require and a very good shower. Good selection available at breakfast too. Location is away from the main centre but only 10 minutes walk to Sants Station, which will get you to all the attractions within 20 minutes at the most. There are a couple of local bars nearby however for an evening or lunchtime drink. Enjoyed my stay here very much.

Rooms were slightly smaller than expected and some night time noise, but not enough to put me off staying there again.

The outdoor swimming pool (cool but perfect for the hot 25* degree days in Aug). Loved the bed (super comfortable) and the accessible air con!! Fridge and safe in the room! So close to Barcelona Sants station, and an hour from the beach.

There was no full length mirror in the room. The lighting was difficult for meetings (no light near the desk - only near the bed and away from the desk). There was no outside view from the window - just the view of the ceiling from reception. A bug was in my bathroom but that’s to be expected in 30 degree heat!

The staff was outstanding! The location great! The coffee excellent! The cleanliness was outstanding! The breakfast looked really good even though I didn't eat there because I only have coffee in the mornings. Front desk staff were really professional, polite, and kind. The staff member who made my coffee every morning was really nice and gave me a Lindt chocolate with every cup. My housekeeper was very good. I got fresh towels and linens everyday. She really deserved the 50 euro tip I directly gave here because I wanted to make sure she got it and no one else. Everyones professionalism, attitude, and kindness was top notch and absolutely cancelled out the negatives I experienced. Positive interactions and respect always outweigh negative experiences. The staff all did their job in the highest of standards!

There were loud noises that I could hear in my room coming from the hallways and from other rooms above, next to, and below. I didn't like not being able to have fresh outside air come into the room because the windows overlooked the light corridor in the center which allows light to enter into the rooms indirectly. The room was a little small but comfortable. I didn't like the fact my room rate when up almost triple on my last night because it was Saturday. I thought my booking rate was the same for the entire stay. This was a complete surprise. The staff informed me it was this way due to fairs and conferences happening in the city over the weekend. I thought this was unfair because I booked my stay prior to these starting.

clean and tidy hotel, quiet area, nice staff, near public transport (Sants Estación train - 5 min walking, tube - L5 blue line Entenca, bus stop - in front of the hotel), a lot of bars and restaurants in the nearby, supermarkets. The hotel have a pool on the roof and a bar.

everything was fine, just a little details - my room had the window with view to the patio, not to the street, also this wasn’t a really issue for me, as I spent time in the hotel only to sleep.

The breakfast was excellent, plenty of food options. The front desk help was great, they helped me with all of my needs. The hotel is very close to the metro and the train station. I stayed in a single occupant room for 5 nights during my vacation visit to Barcelona, I was able to get to most of the sites within 15 - 20min. The room was quiet and clean, and was cleaned everyday. Highly recommend!

Nothing to complain about

A great spot for my situation - arriving in Barcelona late, then moving onwards from Sants the next morning. Convenient short walk to the station. Staff friendly and professional, and the room was bigger and better than I expected for the price.

Only thing I would change is the bed cover was basically a sheet rather than a duvet and it would be nice if there was the option of a blanket or something to throw over that. Temperature no problem but some of us from colder climates like a bit of extra padding over us I think as a comfort thing!

I need a room for 4 nights near the railway station. This hotel was a good choice for me - not very expensive, friendly personal, clean and light room with fridge and table for work. There was bathtub in the room, 2 free bottles of water.

Everything was fine. Maybe the first room with one king size bed was not very comfortable because there was no natural light in the room. But I moved to another room with 2 separate beds.

The staff was really cordial. I asked a few questions and they were really polite. The hotel is really clean. The room was big enough. The breakfast wasn't included, but I tried it anyway, 15 euros for that kind of breakfast is absolutely expensive, the quality was not so excellent.

There was no mini bar in the room, I needed a bottle of water and I had to go outside the hotel to find one. I wasn't there for turism so the location wasn't important for me , but if you want to discover Barcelona you must know that this hotel isn't in the heart of the town, but there is a subway relatively close.
