The room was very nicely located, a was very affordable compared to other hotels in the area. We liked that fact that we could leave our key at the reception and we got it back when returning, that way we didn't have to worry about it. The room was also very spacious, the toilet good and the little balcony a plus.

We didn't really mind but it's something to be aware of - there are a few stairs at the entrance of the hotel and in general to get to the rooms, so if you've got large suitcases it's something to be prepared for. Once again, we didn't mind a lot, but if you're a light sleeper prepare a sleep mask (the room doesn't get completely dark) and earplugs because it gets quite loud at night (which is to be expected since the location is so central).

- Quiet hotel - Polite and friendly staff - Super central location, heart of Barcelona - Very clean room and bathroom - You can leave your keys at reception before going outside, so you don’t have to worry about losing them - They have air conditioning in rooms - There’s a locked room where you can leave your luggage after check out (you can enjoy the city without carrying heavy bags before your evening train/plane , but nobody check what you put in the room and what you take, so it’s at your own risk) - Good wifi - Good water pressure - Perfect for few nights We were walking 12-15 km per day so we just needed a place to sleep. This hotel is nice, simple, exactly what we expected

- Bed was extremely squeaky, noisy, every time you sit down, get up, move, change position at night - bed makes loud squeaky noises , it can wake you up. - bed is very hard, if you don’t like hard mattresses might be a problem for you - there was only one big long pillow on double bed, it was uncomfortable to sleep . It would be better to have two separate pillows.

Great location: very close to the major attractions (walking distance). The owner/manager was very accommodating: We wanted to drop off our luggage and was told that the cleaning staff would be onsite at 12:00pm. Although this is a hotel that does not have onsite reception, the owner/manger was already there and let us in when we arrived earlier. We were also checked in before 12:00pm while we took some rest in the facility (the normal check-in time is 2:00pm). That gave us much more time to spend enjoying the city. Our room shared with 2 other rooms a full sized kitchen, a bathroom, and a small dining room. This is great for low budget travelers and for people like us who need to be careful about what we eat (sensitive stomachs).

We got a room on the ground floor facing the street. The window was single layer glass. So it was noisy.

Look, it's a hostel. You take a shower after a long day exploring the city and hit the bed. If you want to stay in the hotel all day long, enjoy the pool or the gym this is not your place. If you want a reasonably priced room in the middle of the city, walking distance from the main landmarks than this is your place. Staff was friendly, they even printed out our boarding pass. Rooms are adequate but bit basic but clean, could use more shelves.

It wasn't an issue for us but could be noisy at times. Needs more space (shelves!) and charger points - there wasn't any free connector, we had to unplug the TV so we could charge our phones.

Fantastic location 1 min walk from Las Ramblas, 2 min walk from Liceu metro station and La Boqueria market, 5 min walk from La Palais de Musica and Barcelona Cathedral, 10 min walk from Passaig de Gràcia and Casa Battlo&Casa Mila. Very clean, the bathroom was brand new and immaculate, the bedroom was spacious and freshly decorated, staff were helpful and lent us a hairdryer.

The plumbing is unbelievably noisy, when other people flush the toilet or use the shower it literally sounds like water is about to gush through the ceiling. It’s so loud it woke us up. Also the windows don’t close tightly, the noise from outside was so loud it kept us awake. There were people screaming and arguing in other buildings and it was so loud we couldn’t sleep. Everything else was brilliant, but if you can’t sleep it ruins everything. My daughter was so tired from being woken up through the night that we had to sleep in until midday both days- so didn’t get out sightseeing in the mornings which was disappointing.

Great location, easy to access beach/port. Metro super close by. Staff super friendly, the lift was broken when we arrived and the guy at the front desk carried my bag up to the third floor for me so we found that super lovely. 24/7 staff at the front desk. Room was serviced everyday, bed remade and bathroom restocked with toilet paper /towels.

Bottom sheet felt like it was made for a single bed as it didn’t reach the edge/not fitted so would always fall off the bed and you would end up on the mattress protector.

We loved the central location, it is 2 minutes away from metro station and la Rambla, in one of the most popular areas of Barcelona, still it was very quiet in the hostel, no outside noise reached our room. The staff was very kind and always smiling. It is great they have 24/7 reception, it saved us as our plane was delayed by 3 hrs and we landed in the middle of the night. It was great that the AC was on when we entered the room as we immediately felt way better in a slightly cool room. We liked that we could leave the key when leaving the hostel, and we did not have to worry about it when walking around the city. Also, some opinions mentioned stairs, yes, you need to walk up one floor from the street level, but then you have an elevator to reach the other floors. We were also surprised that our room was cleaned during our stay, we did not expect that in a hostel.

we had to book a room with a shared bathroom, which was slightly inconvenient, but we have never met any other people in the hostel using it, so it felt almost like having a private bathroom but had to travel down the hallway to use it.

The location is once of the best I’ve ever stayed in and the staff were super helpful and efficient. Rooms were good value for money and although basic, were very well cleaned.

As is the case with many historic buildings, the walls here offer little sound protection and you’re relying on other hostal guests to be considerate in regards to noise. Between a few party goers and an inexplicably vindictive couple next door (who didn’t like being politely asked if they could speak quietly during what would typically be considered quiet hours) sleeping was challenging at times. Signage outlining hostal expectations could be a positive step towards combatting this issue for guests.

I guess that recently they have made a renovation because everything seems new in the rooms. The rooom was clean and big enough. The best about this hotel was the location, as you can go on foot everywhere in the center. The staff was very friendly. Also, you can let your bags at a safe place after check out.

A disadvantage of this hotel is that noises go through walls, so you hear everything of near rooms. Also, i think check-in is very late (at 15:00). Althought, in general this hotel is a very good option if you are in budget.
