1) Very friendly staff - I didn't know that North Asian cannot be greatly welcomed in Spain, especially if the person cannot speak Spanish; "except" this facility. They never give up though there were only very limited ways to communicate- gestures and Google translation. They let me remember the good Samaritan. 2)Location - took a taxi from the T1, BCN to get there after finding how many people were waiting for an Aerobus. The taxi driver couldn't speak English at all and was so wild, I thought my first day in Spain would be the last day. However (maybe because of that), it cost 38euro to Sant Pau hospital. I used translations to say "dropping me off near the hospital then I can walk to the hostel" to avoid traffic. He was happy with this, I was happy financially, as well as the distance I needed to walk (very close!). Once I got a transport card, I used metro, located nearby only to find out how convenient! 3) facility - they are improving within their limitations. Free water and tea/coffee were exceptional and great! I saw a Nespresso machine on my first day followed by a rack to hold capsules a day after! What a privilege!! 4) clean, very clean. 5) bed- a bit saggy but even I used the bed like sofa. No complaint. Their pillows are exceptionally good, and comfortable - ?memory foam I will return to here when I finish 30 days of journey ; I believe that I did a right thing

I stayed a private room with an "external" private bathroom. I often stay at a hostel with external shared bathroom; therefore, this is still a privilege for me with same amount of budget. However, as a person also staying at 4-5 stars hotel, I would say people need to check condition carefully. (I missed a word "external" to be surprised on arrival) but, I am still very happy with all they provided

The host was extremely accommodating. We arrived earlier than expected and she came right away to check us in. She moved us to a larger room after our first night because she thought we would be more comfortable. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. There was water and tea always available. We were fairly close to 2 metro stations and only 15-20 minutes walk to Sagrada Familia.

There were not many restaurant options real close.

The hostal is close to the metro, which operates every day from 5 a.m. to 12 a.m. Night buses to the city center are also available throughout the night. The rooms are nice, clean, have all the necessary equipment expected for a hotel room. Air conditioned. Free water available at the entrance. Regular cleaning. The lady at the reception is very friendly and up-to-date on all questions. I recommend!

So clean and so comfortable. I was travelling on my own and I felt so safe!! Staff were so accommodating and helpful and location wasn’t all that far from central town, 10 minute walk if that. Great local cafes and restaurants with the best paellas, freshly baked goods and focaccias I’ve ever had! Highly recommend to any travellers passing through Barcelona!

I enjoyed my room. it was comfortable enough for a solo traveler as it was a private single room. It did the trick of me being able to comfortably keep my belongings while being able to travel around and sight see in the city of Barcelona. I liked how the property was close to the metro and easy to walk too and from. This helped me avoid having to take the taxi and I was able to travel around the city comfortably. The room was clean, my bathroom was clean and provided toiletries. The owner at the front desk was very nice and was able to be easily reached at all times and answered all my questions and accommodations.

It would have be nice to have the bathrooms inside of the room rather than outside, but I knew beforehand it would be an external bathroom.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We booked this hotel last minute because our previous accommodation cancelled our booking without us noticing. They were very prompt, and the check-in went without any issues. The room and toilet were very clean, and they even lent us a charger for our phones during our stay. For this price we had no complaints - some hostels (which offer 8-bed or more rooms) which are closer to the beach charge more than this! We were mostly out visiting the city during the day, so for us this hotel met all our requirements. We even had a fridge to store food for breakbast or brunch. Would definitely recommend for (young) people who travel in groups of 3.

The AC in our room didn't seem to have been cleaned in a long time. No biggie or us, but would not recommend for someone sensitive to dust. When we switched the settings to silent, a lot of dusty bits fell from the AC

This hotel one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in BCN. Location was out of crazy tourist zone , a couple block down where Metro station, local neighborhood that was just perfect. Room conditions are so good, very comfortable mattress, check in process smooth staff was very kind. I highly recommend this hostal/ hotel.

Everthing was flawless

Location pretty good. Spacious bathroom, decent room space, good AC

Room on entrance floor is right next to reception is not desired at all. For some reason, you hear every single tourist going in, including by night time .. and there is no separation door with reception / elevator/ or stairs to 1st floor. You will hear pretty clear all tourist going up on the stairs to first floor until they get into their rooms. After midnight is very annoying to wait until all people went to their rooms.

We had a wonderful stay thanks to the kindness of the staff. The room was exactly what we needed, very clean, with a fridge in the room and tea and coffee downstairs. We weren’t expecting such a nice room for such a low price! The lady at the reception was very kind and helpful with our luggage, which made our stay in Barcelona a even more enjoyable!
