Central location, after doing shopping it was very easy to get to the hotel and leave the bags, the staff was very friendly and always wanting to help. But what made my trip great was the surprize I got: I planned this trip with my boyfriend, on my birthday, but we broke up, and I ended going on my trip alone, sad as I was "celebrating" my birthday alone, when I got to my room I found a bottle of champagne, a cake and a Happy Birthday card, it just made my day! So thank you for going above and beyond!!!

Staff we’re lovely! We had difficulty checking in as the room we booked was not available and we ended up having to downgrade rooms but the guys on reception were so apologetic, we understood that it wasn’t their fault, they refunded the difference in price, provided free drinks tokens, included free breakfast for our stay & suggested loads of restaurants and bar recommendations that offered discount for staying at the hotel. The rooftop pool was great in the late afternoon for a cool down & drink, and the lounge in the evening also had a really nice atmosphere & view

Our room facilities (shower/toilet/bedding/towels) were clean but we noticed the floor wasn’t and on our first day the room had ants, although they didn’t seem to return the rest of the trip.

Great location! Some fab bars and restaurants local to the hotel which were much cheaper than the Center of the city!

We unfortunately had a drunken try to get into our room on our second night, reported to the hotel staff the following morning as we felt very uneasy, they were helpful but didn’t completely settle us as no proof of checking the cameras. However a bottle of wine was in our room the following day, as I don’t drink this wasn’t the best way to apologise for the inconvenience! Nothing further happened on the trip however so I believe it was a genuine mistake!

Great location, very close to public transport if needed, but we walked to most sights as they weren't far away. Lovely clean room, even though we were facing out to the street it was still quiet. Breakfast was nice, there were a lot of different things to chose from, I would recommend booking it with your room because if not its €16 per person, which is a lot. We didn't need anything from staff but very friendly at check in and check out.

The rooftop bar/pool area is nice however, the drinks are really expensive, €4 for a can of coke and €6 for a pint of beer, I would recommend going to a cafe close by for a drink it's a lot cheaper.

Great hotel. 30 sec walk from one of the hop on hop off bus. The bed is massive and comfortable. Very quiet at night. Didn't hear any other guests. Very modern hotel. All staff were very friendly and the room was tidied and made up every day.

I was very disappointed with the breakfast. There is no hot option apart from eggs and mini hot dogs. All continental. Didn't eat for the last 2 days. At €16 per person, a little expensive for what it was. Maybe i missed that it said it was continental breakfast only in the description. If i had known, I definitely would not have paid the extra for the breakfast.Pool was out of order for maintenance. Reported only for 24 hours, but three days later, it was still closed, and there was no water in it. However, it wasn't much of a loss. This is not a swimming pool. This is an adult version of a paddling pool. Water only goes up to your knees. Definitely could not swim in there.

The location of the hotel is perfect! It’s ideal for walks and it is central to everything. The rooftop pool was lovely even thou it was small and the bar staff were very friendly.

The aircon in the room and in the hotel appears to be on a timer, which means at points it’s was extremely hot (it was during a heat wave). It didn’t help that there was no fridge in the room to keep drinks cool. Additionally, the staff at the front desk sometimes appeared to be pre occupied.

Our staying at Rec Hotel Barcelona exceeded our expectations! It is located right next to a Metro Station, at a lively neighorhood with vibrant nightlife. great bars and restaurants, within walking distance from the city center and most popular sights. It was clean and comfy, with a beautiful terrace with great view. I have to stress two more things: the evironmental friendly policy of the hotel, providing several small amenities. but only upon request, in order to avoid pointless overconsumerism. Last but not least the excellent staff, always friendly. smiling , polite and willing to help even with requests that had nothing to do with our stay at the hotel! Definitely a value for money choice!

Great location with an estimate 10min walk to La Rambla. Staff was outstandingly kind, the rooms were modern and bed was very comfortable (make sure to get a double instead of two singles since it creates this big cozy bed corner!). Nice rooftop terrace with a view of the city.

The pool is TINY and very much on display if you plan on swimming there. You can also hang out in the rooftop bar/community space but aren't allowed to bring any of your own drinks or food.

We have a Junior Suite which has been excellent. We are Link customers meaning we have some special privileges such as separate breakfast and pool area, free Happy hour free snacks through the day etc. The location is excellent on the beach on the south side of Magaluf beach. Late Sept has seen great weather mid 20s with warm nights without being too hot. The staff have been excellent also patient to explain the Meliá app and how it can benefit us.

The only down side was the dinner in the evening. The half board cost encouraged us to take up the offer. The dinning room is excellent but dinner was often cold served onto cold plates. The variety of food was good suitable for all tastes but lacked that edge of being cooked fresh. For Link customers they should add an independent choice menu that is then served to your table rather than offer just the same tired buffet. However, contrast this with the excellent breakfast in the Level area in the morning and it provides a very stark contrast to big brother problems upstairs.

The rooftop bar was a classy touch, nice views from up there. Rooms were so modern and clean. the built in speakers are a nice touch and something I’ve never had before in a hotel! the staff were so lovely, printed my boarding tickets and even gave us complimentary cokes when we were waiting for our room! the layout of the hallways were cute as well with a funky landing with neon lights that you can get some nice pics with!

The rooftop bar didn’t stay open very late! I believe it’s 9:30pm close which wasn’t the best one night when we wanted to have a few drinks after returning from a meal. The vending machines to get water are also very pricy! I wanted to buy water at the shops and stock in the room but there was no mini fridge in the room to keep drinks cold! I’m not sure if this is all rooms however also a bonus if there’s one in your room.
