The hotel is a standard travelodge in a quiet street near to the underground and public transport. It is situated right near to a main shopping area with lots of bars, cafes and shops but there was no noise from there at all, and if you walked to the end of the shopping area you were right on the beach, about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. As stated there is easy access to all public transport to take you into Barcelona but also if you felt up to it, the main city centre was only about a 30 - 45 minutes walk. The rooms were standard rooms with all amenities provided, and clean and tidy. Buffet breakfast was very good and plentiful and certainly sustained you for the day. All in all a very nice place to stay which i would recommend if you want to be just outside the centre but in a main popular area

Location is fantastic. Beach literally just down the local Rambla. The Rambla itself is great. Can walk into the city centre / Gothic Quarter and even the Sacrada de familia if you really wanted to walk (we did it). Metro station very close too. Breakfast was great but definitely get it as included rather than pay when you are there.

Staff could have been a bit friendlier with my attempts to speak Spanish, lol.

I stayed for 3 nights and I really enjoyed it. I even slept without earplugs because was very quiet. I’m going to stay there again when I’m back in Barcelona. The Poblenou it’s beautiful and close to everything. From there I walked to the beach, to Sagrada Família, to Arc the Triumph etc.

Hard to believe some of the poor +negative reviews about this hotel !! This is a basic Travelodge chain hotel which is reflected in its price range but located in an ideal spot for a fantastic beach and easy transport links to all areas of Barcelona. Lovely tree-lined areas surroundings for relaxing and watching the world go by! Travelodge Poblenou is very clean (despite reviews I read from recent stayers!!) Bed comfortable and the staff are friendly, multi-lingual and helpful. Ask at recetion for hairdryer, duvet etc and it will be provided without fuss. Vending machines available. Bar open in evening. We didnt eat in Travelodge as located next to the Rambles where we preferred to go. Would thoroughly recommend if you just want a good room as a base in a great location outside the city with options to travel around to the city for sight-seeing or stay local and enjoy eating, drinking and beaches

Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff who spoke good English. Good choice in breakfast buffet. Good location.. on foot it’s 5 minutes to Yellow Metro Line, 10 minutes to beach front, 40 minutes to old town or marina for boat trips. Bedrooms had limited storage.. the double was fairly spacious but the en-suite was quite small. Larger room for 3 people had a good size en-suite with bath and a great view. Secure underground parking was a bonus but quite tight with limited useable spaces for a larger car (Audi Q7)

The room was clean and comfortable - we had everything we needed. Bathroom was fine also. The cleaning service was very good and also unobtrusive, which we appreciated. The Poblenou area is very pleasant with lots of restaurants etc. within walking distance. Also the beach is only a 15 minute walk away. The hotel is located within a 5-8 minute walk of two metro stations, so it is very convenient for travelling to the centre of Barcelona, especially the Gothic Quarter, which is only a few stops on the L4 metro line. It is possible to walk to Sagrada Familia from the hotel - approximately 40 minutes away, passing the Torre Glories on the way.

There was some building work going on near the hotel and work started around 6am on one of the mornings. We had the window open and were woken by the building activity. When we closed the window it wasn't too much of a problem and the noise was significantly reduced.

After reading some of the reviews I was worried but the Travelodge in Barcelona was nice. Our room, while cosy, was very clean with crisp sheets and the hotel had friendly and helpful staff. What else do you want? Underground parking was convenient and affordable. Breakfast was good too. While a bit off the beaten path, I liked Poblenou. The taxi stand was across from the hotel and we conveniently traveled downtown for €10-15. Also, the nearby La Rambla de Poblenou led to the beach which the kids loved. Overall a pleasant stay.

Great value stay in a comfy room right next to trendy Poblenou. We always stay here when we visit Barcelona. There is a handy metro station (Llacuna) nearby or its a 30 minute sunny beach walk into Born and the Gothic Quarter. We'll be back!

There are some works going on right next door to the hotel and while we were staying (December 2022), some ground drillings were happening that resonated all through the hotel. When we were there, it looked like they were doing ground clearance so I have no idea how long this will be going on for or whether a new building is being built there. The works started at about 9am and were finished by 5pm and there was no work at the weekends. Maybe worth checking with them beforehand as if we were staying on the lower floors (less than Level 4), it would have been really disrupting. Reception also didn't tell us about these works when we checked in - it did rumble through reception so they must been aware!!

Love the neighborhood. 24 hour front desk. Quiet, except for what seems like endless construction, walk to bars, restaurants, beach, metro. Modern facility with plain but big rooms. Spread out, unpack, no problem. Good breakfast, usually 10 euros, sometimes included.

The lobby smells a little sweaty. Seems every time I stay here it's a different price. Within one week, I had a room, no WiFi, no breakfast for $116. Charging for wifi in this day and age is outrageous. 3 days later, I paid $360 for 2 nights with breakfast and WiFi. I felt that was extreme. The WC is large, but a poor design makes "sitting down" a bit tight. Little things are breaking down and being overlooked by the maintenance.
