It is a wonderful hotel in the heart of the old town, indeed there are several hotels of the same brand in the old town. The guys working at reception were very helpful and welcoming. Especially I would thank Patricia who recommended me a nice and not expensive restaurant with local cuisine just round the corner. My room was spacious and had all necessary appliances to spend several nights. The bed was comfortable. Everyday I had cleaning service in the room. The location of the hotel is in the nice historical building in the heart of the old town and just 10 min walk from the railway station.

All was great I would just add a small refrigerator in the room.

The room was pretty spacious, the location was amazing and right in the centre and everything was clean. The lounge area was right next to our room and had a handy vending machine. The balcony view from our room was incredible and gave us great views of the cathedral. The same view can also be viewed from the lounge's balcony. The lift up to the hotel's floor took around 20 seconds and could handle all our luggage.

There was constantly a slight smell (possibly a blocked toilet), and the vending machine would sometimes randomly refuse to accept cash.

Nice and convenient stay in the city center. Fabulous that there’s always someone at the front desk to help. Easy room access with a code, no messing with keys or key cards. Right next door is a lovely coffee shop with a good breakfast and several restaurants. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. We had a room with balcony, nice to view the streets. They have luggage service if you’re early or staying after checkout.

The shower was not getting warm the first time I showered. It was just warm enough not to be cold. Later it worked fine (I had mentioned it just in case). The shower head is not adjustable in height. Just a minor point though.

Very warm and helpful staff. Nice street view from the balcony. Hotpot and coffee machine available in the common guest room. Very low price for such a premium location and a real old building (we paid 62 euro for one night)

The location is great, but it is a pedestrian street, so you have to carry your luggage at least 400 meters from the nearest parking lot (Arena). The letter from the hotel did not mention the nearest parking lots, which would be nice. The letter also does not say explicitly "3rd floor", so we spent some time on the ground floor trying to find directions from the entrance. There is not enough fresh air in the room unless you open the balcony door, but then it's noisy if you got the street view.

Location is on two of the busiest streets in old town about equidistant from all points of interest. Staff was extremely helpful with all questions.

Room was noisy, it was directly above the street which was active till very late. We used a sound box to make white noise which served us well. The floor boards are old loose and squeaky. Our particular tub was very slippery used as a shower so be cautious. No air conditioning or fans. We had to keep the windows open until bedtime.

location is right in the old town so everything was a short walk away beds where comfy and very clean and very quiet room so we slept very well indeed i have leg problems so they put us in a room with walk in shower which was perfect nothing was to much trouble for the reception staff i would highly recommend this hotel they also have a common room area with fridge microwave and computer anyone can uxse the facilities . they also have a vending machine and drinks machine it made a perfect cup of coffee

Second time staying in this hotel and after a great first experience, it lived up to expectation second time round. Located on the edge of the old town close to all the bars, restaurants and shopping in Bilbao and walking distance to lots of interesting sights. The room was huge and spotless and the staff were very helpful .

Only thing is that it can be noisy at night making it difficult to leave windows open on a warm night but that's just part of staying in a hotel in a city.

Great hotel in the centre of the old town, yet surprisingly quiet given the location. 20mins walk from Guggenheim Museum and all transport links. Really helpful and friendly staff, clean spacious and comfortable room - we had the family room that had an extra room to give us more space. Communal spacious room with fridge, kettle, cutlery, microwave, table and chairs. A great hotel in a great location.

The room was clean and tidy. The location in the old town of Bilbao made it very convenient. The metro stop and tram stop were nearby. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

This is nothing to do with the hotel. But it is located in the old town and is near many bars and restaurants. You may hear noise late at night from revellers so if you want a peaceful visit you may wish to go elsewhere. Also the walls in the rooms are a bit thin....

The position was great for visiting the old town and most transport was within 5 mins walk. Our room was comfortable and we really appreciated the bath. The reception staff were fabulous. Patricia gave us such great tips for getting a travel card, places to eat and key not to be missed sites. We will recommend Causual Gurea to our friends.

We had some confusion with the address and feel clearer entry instructions to 3rd floor would be helpful in the booking. The kitchen needs a sink with water to fill kettle and the drinks and snack machine should have credit card facility. The kitchen was probably the most disappointing facility.
