It’s a fabulous hotel in a great location.

I’m afraid the receptionist was new and it took her 40 minutes to check us in. There was no one else in the hotel to help and when I requested a manager she refused on the basis there was no manager in the building. Considering I had already checked in online, we had to stand waiting while she worked out how to check us in . While I was there, I asked her to make sure it was a twin room which she assured us it was. I had requested this twice by email before arrival. Of course, tired and ready to relax we got to our room to find a double bed . I had to retreat back to the receptionist and wait another 10 minutes while she changed our room. Needless to say this made me score the hotel 7 out of 10. I was only there for one night and this spoiled it!!

The location is great in the Old Town. Our room faced onto the Plaza and Bridge (which leads you up to the train station - about a 5 minutes walk). Great location for all the places you want to see, Funicular, Guggenheim, Shopping district, train station, boat trips, etc. We took the bus from the airport (3 euros each) and it dropped us off at Gran Via 46. It is a 20 minute walk to the hotel from there along their main shopping street. Bilbao is great. The metro and local buses are fine. The main bus station is quite hidden and is all underground which is cooler. We took the bus to Castro Urdiales for the day and had a day trip on the metro to Sopelano beach. The beach was about a 20 minute walk from the metro stop. Recommend a few days in Bilbao and the pinchos are superb. The staff were great and pleasant, breakfast was plentiful with a good choice and our room was superb. No problems at all. Highly recommend the hotel. Take one of the free walking tours (always tip them at the end) from the Plaza opposite!

This hotel was great in so many ways. The bed was super comfortable. The room was large and had huge windows. The bathroom had a bathtub. The staff were so helpful. Our luggage was lost when we arrived in Madrid, and they agreed to let us have it delivered there while we walked our Camino. They kept it for a several days before we arrived. They also helped us book bus tickets to Donostia. Location was perfect. It is right on the border between the old and new part of town, and the park across the street is great to sit in.

There was A/C in the room but because it was April it had not been turned on yet. The windows were helpful to cool things off but it did get a little warm at night.

This is a clean and comfortable hotel located right in the heart of Casco Viejo quarters. Its right around the corner from Plaza Nueva and right next to the bridge connecting you to downtown Bilbao. Given the size of Bilbao, you're really not more than a 20 minute walk from most sites (like the Guggenheim). Everything about the room is satisfactory - it was clean, spacious, water temperature/pressure was great, and my room had a great view of the bridge. The breakfast was solid and had a good selection of options to start your day. Would absolutely stay here again.

It's right in the center of a very traffic heavy street (cars and pedestrians) meaning there is some noise. Should be fine for most people if you keep the windows closed, but maybe not the best pick if you're looking for something secluded and quiet.

Very comfy bed and a huge, clean bathroom. Hotel is 100 meters from Bilbao's main metro station. It's also on the edge of old town which means you're close enough to explore but far enough that it was quiet at night. Free bag storage and impressive breakfast spread (we didn't partake). Our receptionist was super friendly and helpful, just wish I remembered her name!

We stayed in the very top floor so the room got quite warm during midday in June despite the AC. July/August may be pretty toasty if you decide to siesta in your hotel room. As the sun set, the room cooled right down!

Location was very good, we were traveling with a dog and the hotel provided a dog bed and treats which was nice. Room was clean and comfy and the bathroom was well equipped.

There’s no parking at the hotel and we had to leave the car at a nearby public parking space which was fine. However, you still have to pay around 18 euro with the reduced parking fee for each day. In addition, there was a big construction outside which made it a bit difficult to go around by car. I would say that the hotel fee was a bit high all things considered.

The property is in a great location, very friendly staff, good breakfast. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and great shower too. Super clean.

The room was on the top 6th floor but elevator only goes to the 5th, and then there’s stairs to get to the room which was a bit of a humph with our big bag. No big deal but would have been problematic for some guests potentially. Although there were tea and coffee facilities in the breakfast room on the first floor available for guests there was nothing in the room itself which would have been preferable. Again, no big deal. The room was on the top floor so quite stuffy and warm with no fan or AC, so we had kept the window open overnight and the result was an influx of mosquitos that kept us up during the night, not ideal!

Great location right next to the old town where there are dozens of restaurants, cafes and bars. It is also an easy walk to the Guggenheim and the centre of Bilbao where there are many more restaurants and shopping options. The room was small, but had everything we needed. The cleaning staff did a great job every day. The breakfast was pretty good too.

We had a room that looked out to the street and it did get a little noisy at night. It really wasn't a problem for us, but if you are a light sleeper then you should probably ask for a room away from the street.

Great location, right beside the central plaza and not far from the new town either. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Slightly noisy at night as our room faced the road and a taxi rank but it did have a lovely view so depends on your preference. Some of the furniture in the room was a bit dated but still very functional and the mini bar was a bit frozen over and overheating. It also would have been a nice addition to have a basic coffee machine. There was a small kettle provided however.

Location was great, close to the metro to go to the coast and walking distance of almost everything else. The room was comfortable and clean. We were on the 4th floor facing the street and it was quiet. Breakfast was good and varied. Coffee was just ok.

Due to the limited area for breakfast they have different shifts. This was a little inconvenient since we needed to set the alarm on vacation. Not a real deal breaker.
