Universal Grand León & Spa

The hotel is beautifully renovated. The staff are beyond welcoming and super helpful. Rooms are extremely well presented and cleaned on a daily basis with the beds also being turned down every evening. The pool area is clean and quiet and the pool bar is very relaxing with a lovely, varied menu and absolutely delicious food and excellent service.

I have nothing to criticise to be honest. On the one occasion we made a suggestion about the something in the room, they discussed with Management and have adopted our proposal which was lovely to hear that our feedback was being heard and actioned upon.

The hotel staff was very polite and professional. Food was generally of high standard, lots of options for breakfast including some dishes cooked on demand. Dinner was mostly fantastic, we particularly loved the table service. Having a smaller selection of entrees and main dishes (in addition to a salad and dessert buffet) ensured better food quality, which we prefer over quantity. Great selection and quality of spa treatments as well. The hotel participates in organised trips and rides to and from the airport that you can book as extras. The entire place was extremely clean, and the cleaning crew would come back a second time in the afternoon to ask if anything else was needed. The area surrounding the hotel is quiet, which is ideal for relaxing holidays.

Although food was for the most part excellent, there were a few inconsistencies with hit-and-miss dishes at dinner. We feel like at least water at the restaurant should have been included for half-board. Same goes with coffee pods in rooms. Hotel amenities were very good, but the swimming pools were on the small side and the nearest beach is not great for swimming. Access to the spa area should be more carefully supervised and restricted. On more than one occasion some unsupervised young guests were behaving inappropriately in the spa area posing serious safety risks both for themselves and for other guests.

few staff could speak English; main language was German, besides Spanish, of course.

We were bed and breakfast only. A superb buffet breakfast was available with a chef cooking eggs and pancakes to order. So much choice that it was impossible to sample everything. A lovely touch was the daily Prosecco on ice - fabulous

We never found out about, or saw anything about trips and excursions. I did notice a rep was available at certain times but never saw him/her. I think we could have been the only English family in the hotel, but that was never a problem. It would have been nice to see read through some folders with information about trips, boat trips etc but nothing was available.

Best swimming pool. The location is perfect with a direct way to the sea. The decoration is beautiful. The housewives comes 3 times a day to clean the room

The waiters complained when we did not speak German. We had a two beds bed which was not the most comfortable but ok. The dinner buffet is quite expensive for the suggestion - nothing was labeled so we did not know what was the dish

Gorgeous property on the beach, with excellent restaurant and service on premises; sexy beach bar with live entertainment every night; magnificent spa with indoor pool; outstanding spa services; friendly staff.

The beach is rocky and no real access from the hotel or hotel beds on it; far from Palma; the pool cabana rooms did not have much privacy or true sea view. Somewhat expensive...

overall very good, service was excellent, the staff very friendly. food was at a 5 star level and the facilities are very nice. excellent pool area with enough beds very well oriented

the surrounding neighbourhood is not maintained, it seems that many places are hit by corona or financial crisis of 2008.

Amazing Spa! Easy Parking! Great Pool Area. Nice and spacious rooms. Staff is friendly.

Atmosphere is poor, not really for young people. I was not impressed about the village, it was empty at night. Unfortunately not enough therapists for massage.

Nice little hotel in Colonia St Jordi, nice pool area, friendly staff. A lot was closed due to Covid though. Es trend beach is close, I rented a bike and went there. A few restaurant close by, walking distance to the Main Street and the harbour.

Rooms seemed a little outdated, but overall all was fine.
