Lasala Plaza Hotel

The location of the hotel is superb and the roof top bar overlooking La Concha bay is a real asset and a great place to enjoy a pre or after dinner drink or indeed just chill out. The pool though is just a plunge pool and you cannot swim in it.

The reception and roof top bar staff were exceptional. However, when we tried the breakfast one day (was not included in our daily room charge but you are able to just rock up at an additional charge) we were very underwhelmed by the staff and were made to feel unwelcome as we were not on their list of rooms that had breakfast included. We were left to find ourselves a table (once they had verified we could actually have breakfast) where no menus were offered to us until we chased and chased. Two of the breakfasts were delivered completely wrong with ingredients mixed up. Given this was a special breakfast for us celebrating one of our friend's birthdays, it was very disappointing.

Hotel staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Everyone was nice and friendly. Location is very good, right on la Concha beach. This is a beautiful property and we glad we booked there. I have been to more fancy hotels that claim everything is 5* only to realize they come short on several front. At Lasala, you can tell this is a well run place with attentive staff, even when the hotel is fully booked. Plus they don’t bother you with a stupid survey when you leave.

The room layout was not ideal. The concept of the bathroom as an extension of the bedroom did not convince us. I prefer a clear separation. Just my opinion. Also the restaurant was closed for dinner on a Sunday, just when most of the local restaurants were closed too (hello? we are tourist, not locals; we need to eat on Sundays too!). Both minor inconveniences.

Positioned perfectly in Old town between two popular beaches and plenty of Pinxtos bars. The ocean view from our room was spectacular overlooking the harbour. Staff and service were terrific. The shower was close if not the best I have ever had. Bed was very comfortable. We were celebrating our engagement and were gifted a bottle of bubbles to celebrate. E-bikes for hire on the property also a nice touch.

The rooftop view was spectacular, though the pool was more of a wading pool which I was not expecting. Inability to be served drinks at different times while sitting poolside.

The staff at the Lasala Plaza Hotel are dedicated to ensure the guests receive 100% hospitality during their stay. That sounds like a line from a brochure, but it is absolutely what we experienced. The staff is 100% helpful on any request and totally accommodating. The hotel facilities and room features are superb. We plan to visit with them again.

If there was a bigger pool one could do laps. But with the beach just within a few minutes from the hotel, swimming there works. The hotel provides its guests with beach towels. Guests at the Lasala Plaza Hotel would be hard pressed to find anything out of place with the services that the hotel provides so well.

The hotel is very stylish, the location is fabulous and the beds are very comfortable.

this hotel is high end and generally meets all expectations but considering the cost there were a few things i would have expected that were not included. Breakfast should have been included with the room cost, there was no conditioner/body lotion (small things but make a difference). Also the hotel parked our car for us, we were charged E39 / day, we then found out that the parking actual cost was only E20/day!!!

We were very lucky and got upgraded to a beautiful suite with totally stunning views of the sea. From what we saw this hotel definitely has the best location. The room was so spacious and beautifully furnished - the whole hotel is very stylish. The roof top bar was a fabulous place to watch the sunset. It was quite an expensive treat but it made for a very special trip.

We rented a car as we thought it was cheaper than taxis, but the price of parking jumped from 25 to 37 euros a day so it might be cheaper to get a taxi, especially if you don't need your car when there.

- Breakfast was expensive (usually €600 a night hotels include breakfast) - Some of the weekend ladies at the front desk were not helpful. To every questions they answered with an “impossible”. - They close the access to the hotel from the back/port , so to go to the port you have to walk all around

Beautiful reception, wonderful front of house staff and concierge. Really helpful with bookings, friendly and welcoming. Lovely amenity spaces and generous rooms and bathrooms. Great location for old town and beach front!

Would maybe suggest conditioner and body lotion is offered in the bedrooms. Restaurant closed on a Tuesday which seemed odd. Taxis take longer than 5 minutes as suggested (20 mins). Pool more of a plunge pool.
