The hotel is in a superb location. We had a wonderful panoramic view from our balcony. There is a light and airy feel to the whole hotel. Decor is modern and very tasteful . Every member of the staff was welcoming and eager to help.

The access to the beach from the ground floor of the hotel was quite steep. This might be difficult for some guests and we saw no evidence of a lift. We didn't find the buffet dinner in the main restaurant very appetizing, but there was a wide choice.

Loved the hotel overall, it was my second visit and I’m sure I will stay again. Breakfast was great, although as the week went on, I saw more flies hovering around the breakfast food on display, and I’m sure something could be done about that.

The swimming pool is fab - I loved the waterfalls and the sound they make, but the pool is not very accessible with only steep ladders to get in and out. Would be better if one end could be made to have shallow steps to improve accessibility.

Stunning room and excellent breakfast. Lovely location. Staff were exceptional - particularly grateful for a lovely kids' club. We came at the end of the season which was perfect for us as it meant the hotel was quiet - not sure how it would be when the hotel is fully open.

The swimming pool is freezing - again, it was October, so probably easier to cope with in the summer. (We've bought kids' wetsuits for next time). Although we loved The Level and the variety of complimentary snacks and tapas, it would have been helpful to have had labelled dishes so it was clear what contained meat / fish.

Service was all over the place. Ordering a drink like a glass of wine (off the menu) would often mean they would try and locate the bottle in one of the other restaurants which could take 20 mins or so. Ordered a medium rare steak and it came back blue. Sent it back and it came back mooing even more. Also there seemed to be more senior staff in suits standing around rather than the actual workers getting things done

The hotel’a location is excellent, right in front of the beach and a few minutes away by car from Ciutadella. The staff was very helpful sorting out tour and dinner reservations. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of option including gluten free!

The room had a bit of a funny smell, as if it had been closed for a long time which surely wasn’t the case. Also, the room could have a few items such as cotton balls and swab, toothbrush and so forth. These are by no measure deal breaker. Just something that could be improved.

Breakfast was fabulous. All you want was there: fresh fruit, breads, rolls, pastries, cheeses, salami and col cuts, fresh omelettes. All these wonderful amenities were served and seen to by attentive and authentic staff. Real people who were happy you were there visiting. Proud of he hotel and Menorca. So engaging and cheerful. So refreshing! The hotel is one of a kind. Get the ‘sea-side’ with terrace. All day long you are greeted with the sparkling clear, turquoise colored water. A reminder of why you came, ‘Leve the hustle and bustle behind and slip into the relaxing all encompassing relaxation and beauty of Cal Guldana and the jewel that is the Melia Cal Galdana. Go hiking, explore the island, swim, do whatever you like but know that you will always return to the fresh, crisp cleanliness of the hotel. Helpful? Need anything? The staff, all the staff , make you feel like family. No dumb questions here! You always feel at home.

Many things in the hotel were expensive. Unfortunately 5 stars mean you’ll be paying for just about everything including water at dinner. Seriously?(Breakfast was nice because there was no extra charges for anything-even the mimosas!) The bars and Cape Nao managed to change for drinks and single food items what you can buy a delicious meal and drinks cost 500 meters away in town. That’s the biggest complaint.

Buffet is good for a vegan, a lot of fruits, some personal approach at rooms with Level category. Town is small and quiet. nice bay when not after the rain or when no ways; we were unlucky with weather so had to go by cat or hike to other beaches. The view from rooms and from restaurants are unbearable on the islands, that’s my main value so I extended and stayed more days even after checking all the other places of Menorca. Good surprise — there are some classes (yoga, stretching, healthy back etc), only problem the timing. 10,11,12 - is when you are full after breakfast. I would advise to change it for 7-8-9. bathrobes, towels, teas, kettle - good quality

1. AC was not working in the room but in the restaurant it’s freezing cold even with long sleeve+sweater. 2. No spa, no jacuzzi, no sauna, while pools are extremely cold in September 3. Water they give in the room only on the first day, even in Level, not expensive product but extremely good to have it in the room every day for this price and for 5*. 4. Didn’t like the smell of chemistry in hotel premises after cleaning. Would consider to use smth less smelly and more ecological, organic. 5. Expected a real espresso machine at Level restaurant. But it was the buttons one like at cheaper buffets. 6. No library, surprised. 7. Very loud music in the evening in the lobby, we couldn’t sit there and relax. may be ok for older or drunk people, but not for those who like harmony

The beach and the breakfast are amazing!

The pictures were different when I booked, they gave me a room without any view and I tried a upgrade but it was declined.

Location and there were incredible views from the balcony. Staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. Breakfast on the Level was excellent and the all day snacks and drinks were great. When vegetarian options not available, staff prepared them separately.

Nothing major, but the water temperature in the shower was difficult to control and the toilet seat didn’t close properly.

Excellent beach front location. Well appointed rooms and excellent service from the majority of the staff. On one occasion there was an error made with a dinner reservation and the customer experience team took the trouble to phone and apologise. The buffet style breakfast was excellent.

It was a slightly confusing hotel - working out which restaurants were open and what was available in each took us time to work out. The buffet restaurant worked well for breakfast but was less successful for dinner in the evening because staff were tasked with selling and serving drinks as well as clearing and resetting tables. The Cape Nao beach club is beautiful but the service can be disorganised.
