Hotel Rural Binigaus Vell

Having stayed at several „agroturismos” on Menorca, I can safely say that Binigaus Vell is my ideal choice - this was my second stay here and it only proved this again! It perfectly matches my Menorca type of short holidays expectations. The staff is always on hand and very helpful yet not overwhelming; the breakfast is my favourite time - simple, fresh, good quality; the pool is always nicely quiet ; the location is superb, you can drive to eithet end of the island very quickly. What I also like about Binigaus is the fact gow quiet it is - there is no evening entertainments as such (eg. loud music, busy bars) - probably won’t suit everyone but for me this is just ideal. The hotel is also excellent at being super clean, the rooms are always tip top!

We moved rooms to one of the suites by pool - the value of this top rated room was exceptional. Lovely pool, very nice presented property. Breakfast was good and GF well catered for. They should have advertised better what was on breakfast menu - Bacon is available ! Staff were all delightful and very helpful. Very quiet hotel - don't bring anything noisy here !

Well they don't operate a bar and we did miss that. The 'honesty bar' system works but they have no wine and no lemon/lime with a G&T etc. We enjoy a nice bar atmosphere and this is a weakness. The snack system for lunch works OK but the range and quality of lunch snacks was average. The lower category rooms we originally booked are expensive for what they are, and not good value relative to the more expensive categories which are much larger.

Beautiful location, extremely peaceful atmosphere and very tasteful throughout. Staff were all cheerful, helpful and friendly. The walk through the woods to Binigaus beach is wonderful.

Evening menu is lovely, but this kind of haute cuisine might suit a more metropolitan audience. Some of the visitors to this rural setting have done activities such as horse riding, hiking and swimming and will need something more substantial. I could have eaten a burger and chips afterwards.

Beautiful location, beautiful gardens, great room, and very good breakfast and evening meal. We stayed in a room with private pool, which gave use the peace and privacy we desired. If you enjoy walking/.hiking there is a lovely and easy to follow trail to the nearby beach.

At breakfast service was a little slow on occasions as all the rooms appeared to come to breakfast at the same time. The road to get to the hotel is narrow and would recommend a hire car as we felt the location would be remote without one. Wth a car it is close to both Mahon, Citudella and Fornells and several beaches for an evening meal or day out. We hoped to eat the first night we arrived, but on arrival we were told they were fully booked for the evening meal. They arranged a taxi for us and reserved a local restaurant and we had a great meal in Saint Thomas overlooking the sea. Had we known we needed to book we would have reserved in advanced. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend to others.

The property was very peaceful and well taken care by a superb team of professionals. Everyone from the receptionists, chamber-maids and restaurant staff were friendly, cheerful and did their best to accommodate the guests. Despite there were still "COVID" restrictions, we did not feel trapped or uncomfortable. Our suite was excellent, spacious, clean and had all the amenities. The private plunge pool was much needed after a hot day out. Breakfasts were plentiful and you would die if you have a sweet-tooth. Let's just say the pastries were not only nice to look at but more, more, more:-))) Dinners serve till 22h and lovely if weather permits to dine outside on the wonderful terrace while catching the glorious sunsets! The hotel restaurant closes on Sundays, just ask them to book a table at "Ca Na Pilar", pricier than the hotel but close to Michelin Star experience! We tracked down to the Binigaus Beach on foot which took about 45mins. There were some rocky steps in the first 15mins towards the cave, but most people should have no issues (do it early in the morning or late afternoon with no sun above). We also went horse-riding with Marti and enjoyed it immensely, highly recommended! Finally, ladies, don't miss the "MIBO" sandal factory at the end of town...so colourful and affordable, just make sure you have enough space in your luggage if you end up with more than 1 pair!! Overall, a fantastic 4-days stay and would not hesitate to go back next time!

Coffee capsules should be fully replenished everyday. We were there 4 days and only twice they were replenished. Be mindful if you have a huge car (wide in width), as the last km towards the hotel is on a one-way narrow path. If another car is coming the opposite way, one of you would have to back up. We had a Hyundai Tucson and was quite close to the walls.

It's so lovely and quiet. Perfect if you are after a really relaxing trio away. Its like a little oasis! Honestly we heard so many people say they come back every year and we can see why - hopefully that will be us too. You can actually see the ocean from the property and if you're feeling up to it, walk all the way to the beach in about 50 minutes. The local town is really cute too!

My only small criticism, is that the bed was two singles pushed together. I understand it probably makes configuring the rooms differently easy, but just a little strange for a couples holiday.

beautiful rural hotel very close to great beaches. everything is very curated in the smallest details, the garden is amazing and the pool is stunning. the staff was incredible nice, knowledgeable, happy to help in every moment. cannot recommend more. it’s a bit pricy but it’s a good value. the restaurant is really good!!

the only thing which is maybe a bit complicated is the access: it is a very very narrow road where only 1 car can pass at the time. if you meet another car you have to go back or find a space to temporarily park and let the other one go. during the day is ok, difficult at night.

I had an amazing stay at the hotel! The hotel premises, garden and room are beautiful, an understated luxury boutique hotel. Nice breakfast, very friendly staff and amazing swimming pool with a view to the ocean from afar. Also a great location to get around the island as it’s very central in Menorca. The best call in Menorca is to stay at a rural hotel and I couldn’t recommend Binigaus Vell more. Would definitely stay there again when I go back to Menorca.

We stayed for a few nights in October, the hotel is an old converted farm and totally serene. The pool area and restaurant terrace were highlights, plus the very friendly and helpful staff. The twin room was a good size and had a nice terrace. Would recommend the hike down to Binigaus beach and the location is perfect for visiting all the wonderful beaches on the south east coast. Restaurant menu was a bit limited but good value (although no vegetarian options).

The road leading up to the hotel is charming but a little tight at times!

the location - so quiet and peaceful, it really was a tranquil setting to relax. the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and booked numerous restaurants on our behalf as well as being super helpful with other activities. and we absolutely loved the salt water pool!! the breakfast was also incredible - fresh fruit, delicious bread, wonderful eggs. we will definitely be back!

nothing - it was everything we could have dreamed of!
