The property is well located on the edge of the town square with ample secure parking. When I arrived I had minimal battery charge in my EV and the system I have for locating charging stations showed none within reach. My relief came quickly when the very welcoming receptionist offered one of the two charging points within the hotel. When I asked about payment she said there is no charge.... what a bonus, especially as I had no alternative ! ! And to be served an A La Carte breakfast of the best bacon and eggs was yet another treat before I checked out to resume my journey with the comfort of a full 'tank'.

We stayed overnight while riding through Spain on our motorbike. Predominantly set in an old palace, with modern additions, gave the hotel an excellent setting an atmosphere. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable, with a small balcony overlooking the gardens. The staff were friendly and engaging, helping our limited Spanish where necessary. Dinner was very good, as was our breakfast. Well worth the extra 30 minutes ride from the autovia for such a pleasant stay.

Beautiful surroundings, exceptionally clean room. The lady tending to the bar the night of our stay spoke little English , but she ensured she found a staff member to communicate with us, she was polite and happy and made us feel so welcome . The staff team went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and make our stay so pleasurable. The food was delicious and we ate in the garden of the hotel with beautiful surroundings

The location was easy to find, the room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the restaurant food menu had an ecellent variety and was superb. The staff were always welcoming and helpful.

The air conditioning was not on, which was fine when we arrived at 5pm, but by the time we went to bed and woke up feeling too hot in bed, it was late, so we didn't get out of bed to tell the staff. We should have checked it before going down to dinner, as the staff were most helpful.

We loved whole setting and the way the building had been sensitively restored, with a stylish modern extension. We were lucky to be staying in one of the old palace rooms which was very atmospheric, with a beautiful new en-suite bathroom. We had a delicious evening meal in the dining room. Having a good sized, excellent swimming pool was an added bonus for relaxing after our drive from Santander.

Excellent one night stop at this hotel. Little off the beaten track but well worth the drive from the motorway. Great food in the restaurant at a very reasonable cost. Good choice at breakfast although fairly crowded due to coach party staying. Dog friendly & they provide dog beds, toy, bowls & doggy wipes for €15 per dog.

The room was great. Comfy bed. The location is good for dog walks (just get a map, 5 mins away are great walks).

The bar/restaurant staff were very young, not a problem, but they didn't know the difference between red wine & white and said I need permission from reception to take a bottle of wine to my room...

Nice room, comfortable bed. Friendly staff and good breakfast and dinner option. Great place for a stop over. Quiet place in the middle of no where. Perfect for stop over for our traverse of the Iberian Peninsula on motorbike.

Not much else in Garrovillas. So a good place to stay providing you're not keen on much sight seeing whilst you're there. I've stayed before and I'd stay again though.

This is a converted palace. The room I had was quirky with a small outside seating area behind a grill. The dinner fixed menu we felt was excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The town is amazing. No idea how old it is, but the main square alone is worth the visit.

Very nice building in a very nice setting. Rooms and hotel very comfortable. Also a nice garden where you can eat or just enjoy a drink. A very inviting swimming pool too. The hospederia is right at the plaza in the center of the old town. This plaza is considered to be one of the most beautiful of Spain. We were there early in the season, therefore, little activities.

A general thing that I encounter in almost all hotels, which is the 'plastic' protector of the mattress. Understandable, but please add an extra layer between the cover and the sheet. It is very sweaty and thus nasty to wake up on a wet sheet. Ugh!
