We were actually upgraded (at no extra cost) to DATO 1 at check-in. The above answers are in relation to DATO 1 and NOT DATO 2. The receptionist at check-in (Annie) was particularly helpful and deserves to be singled out for a special mention. She helped with advise on restaurants and directions. The hotel is particularly well located; very central and all sights within walking distance. Car parking is at the nearby public underground car park (very convenient) for which the hotel has a special discounted daily rate. This worked very well for us. Breakfast is not provided but there are numerous cafes close by offering breakfast at a good price.

The hotel does not have a lift and this needs to be borne in mind for any less able guests. It was only of concern when transporting our luggage to our room.

You could not have a better location in the city: close to the action but not too close to the noise. The room had a nice little balcony and the bed was very comfortable.

The shower was a bit tricky to use because it was in a short tub with high walls to step over and didn't give much room to maneuver around.

Location was perfect next to Casco Medieval, next to great tapas, next to tramvia, very close to train station and close to the bus station.

It was a bid cold 7C and in May the heating was off. However the hotel gave me a bit of warmth in the evening.

Receptionist on arrival put us in a lower room to avoid having to carry luggage up extra floors. Also, we did not need to checkout at Hotel Dato; we could just leave access card in Dato2 annex and be on our way.

Dato 2 was in a great location . easy to get around to explore the area and easy walk from/to the train station . staff was friendly and helpful. room was comfortable. I loved the Building and all the statues inside the hallways and entry. fun stay! loved Vitoria- Gasteiz. there is a fantastic tapas place (Michelin recommended) very close by on same street . we were there 3 times.

We did a 4 person staying. The hotel was quite fine: the bed was very comfortable and the person we made check in was polite. The rooms were close together and it was such as the description.

The one thing we didn't like was the bathroom door was made from glass and couldn't closed completely and the bathtub was small. it wasn't a hand towel for two people neither: there was only one.

Very nice interior. Very good location. I was very happy to be able to check in that late. Thank you for that. Very friendly cleaning lady.

Bed was very comfy and the location was amazing, right in the middle of the city, very close to the lively streets with bars and the old town.

The closet wasn't very clean, there were some ash residuals on the top so I couldn't put my clothes there. The rest of the room and the bathroom were quite clean though.

The location is perfect. All historical places are within walking distance. There are also tram and bus stops a few meters away. I only stayed for one night and found the room and bathroom very clean.
