This marked my inaugural trip to Spain, prompting me to seek advice from my friend residing in Jaén city for a suitable hotel in proximity to his address. Following his recommendation, I chose this hotel. Upon entering the reception at around 8 PM, I immediately felt positive vibes. The location was superb, eliminating the need for a car, and the cleanliness standards were commendable. After a swift check-in, I proceeded to my room, pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness, featuring two beds, and a pristine bathroom with a large tub. The only drawback was the internet, which proved rather slow, sufficient only for texting and making voice calls. While the staff had limited English proficiency, I managed to communicate effectively with them, appreciating their amiability, respectfulness, and hospitality. My experience in Jaén city was delightful, and if I decide to visit Spain again next year, I will undoubtedly reserve a room at the Condestable Iranzo Hotel again. The laundry service is not complimentary, and the reception staff provided me with a list of prices. While not overly expensive, the service's quality exceeded expectations, being both fast and neatly executed.

Central location, good catering outlets especially terrace restaurant where staff were very efficient despite being very busy. We took our dog and they were very accommodating with his own bed mat and dog dishes already set up in the room. Receptionist Gracia was very helpful in highlighting the key sights to see around the very pleasant city. Parking across the road on a public car park was a tad expensive at 17 euros per night.

Car parking expensive as was the payment for dog staying over at 20 euros.

This hotel is conveniently located in the shopping district. May restaurants are a short walk. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Traffic is congested in this area. The historic district with the cathedral and Arab baths is an uphill walk. Be patient with yourself, take as many breaks as you need and enjoy the scenery and architecture on the route.

Big shiny clean reception with busy but friendly and helpful receptionists. Room was clean and bright and comfortable. Bed was good with crisp white sheets. Bathroom with shower over was big and shiny and very clean. Shower was good. Plenty of good quality towels and good toiletries. View was good of a big swimming pool*. Fridge with water was nice as was the coffee machine. The coffee was good quality. Air con was very good. Room was very quiet. Up on the roof was a small plunge pool (seven breaststrokes across) and patio area. Separate friendly bar/restaurant with wonderful views. Breakfast was plentiful. Lots of choice - fried eggs, bacon, chorizo sausages and toast! The ground floor bar/restaurant was very good. Wonderful steak.

The lifts could be busy and slow. The pool area was very small and busy. You had to wait for a lounger, but. Some of the roof terrace bar furniture needed throwing away; gave a poor impression of what was a very nice area. * Belonging to the complex next door!

Dinner in the hotel restaurant/cafeteria was good. The breakfast was very complete. We didn't go up there for more than 2 minutes, but on the 9th floor there is a cocktail bar with amazing views. It also has a swiming pool.

The decoration is a bit dark (as in colour). The duvet on the bed was too warm for me, but there are blankets available in the wardrobe: end of problem!

The proximity to the bus station which made it easy for me both at arrival and departure from Jaen. The room was pretty spacious with a generous bathroom. Good breakfast variety, helpful staff, comfortable bed.

Noisy neighbours, I could hear every noise they were making either on the hallway or in the room above. No idea if this is related to bad soundproof between the rooms or floors in the hotel or whether the other guests were louder than usual, but it felt uncomfortable.

The cleanliness and location were fantastic. the room was large and very clean, the big bed was very comfortable. The staff were helpful, but not over engaging nor particularly, but were very helpful when required, and the fact that Spanish was the only language spoken did not concern me particularly as I can speak Spanish, however if you don’t then it may be a problem.

There is no parking at the property and the car park opposite that they advise you to use is at a cost of 16 Euros per day. There is free parking available on the streets around the hotel if you know where to look, but you are competing with everyone else to get it so it is at a premium. The breakfast wasn’t particularly fulfilling, and seemed to vary in quantity and choice depending upon the staff member on duty and how attentive they were. that said, you could get the usual juices, fruit, coffee toast etc and it was ok for us as a start to the day.

Didn’t have breakfast so could not say anything. However the location was great within walking distance to all restaurants and to most places of interest.

Nothing tat I didn’t like about the hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

So so clean and safe and the staff was so welcoming and trustworthy ! We left our luggage with them twice inbetween reservations and our things were kept so safe with the utmost care :)

Absolutely nothing, they were amazing !

Ten minute walk to cathedral. Clean hotel. Great buffet breakfast for 11 euros per person. They do have parking, however it was full so we parked across the street in the recommended parking garage for 17.50 euros per night.
