The decor in the hotel is wonderful. Full marks to whoever designed it! Also, each room has an excellent small fridge with an ice box, and a corkscrew was provided! It was lovely to lie on the sunloungers in the garden area and then take a dip in the pool. La Cabrera isn't a particularly interesting village but it's a only a short walk down the road if you need to stretch your legs or get supplies from the Eroski supermarket.

Our first room overlooked the terraza of the next door restaurant so we had to keep the windows closed to block out the noise. This wouldn't be a problem in winter but on a hot summer night with only a fan to cool things down, it wasn't great. However, on mentioning this problem the next morning, we were moved to a room overlooking the back of the property which was much cooler and quieter.

The hotel was very quiet when we were there which was great, but this may depend on the season. The breakfast was really great, great food, very relaxed, great service. The staff that worked there were really friendly, was a pleasure chatting to them. Room was spacious and nicely furnished, great facilities. Nice big fireplace which we made use of both nights we were there. Overall, great and we will return soon.

Myself and my partner both prefer a slightly harder bed, but I'm sure we could mention this before our next trip. So, given that everything was so good, it's not a big deal.

Friendly staff, although they don't speak English. The room was huge. Breakfast has a lot of choices. The location is good if you want to stay north of Madrid: 15 min from Buitrago de Lozoya, 1 hour from Segovia (driving)

Noise isolation - we had a room next to the lobby and adjacent to a wooden staircase, so we heard all the conversations, and people climbing or going down. The room was dark. Breakfast has a lot of choices, but you need to ask the staff, which makes it hard to communicate. (suggest making it buffet) The access from the parking lot gets muddy when it's raining. Wifi signal is weak and unstable although the router was very close.

Hotel Sara de Ur was a perfect place for a short visit to Madrid countryside. Nice (BIG) room, very friendly staff. The small town of La Cabrera has many restaurants and is welcoming, just 40 minutes from the airport. Own car is definitely good to have here, hotel has free safe parking. Breakfast was prepared on order and was ok, not spectacular. We stayed here in October so pool was closed but would propably be very nice in the summer months. We drove around in the area and hiking trails in the NP and around Rascafria are easily accessible.

Very convenient location close to the motorway. Very good for an overnight stay. Staff were helpful in organising a breakfast that was delivered to our room as we had to leave early before. Swimming pool on site.

Room did not have air conditioning although plug in fans were provided. Resturaunt next to hotel was closed ( I think was just Monday night). However we found another Resteraunt close by in walking distance that served good food. Room was a little dark with lighting on.

The location was perfect for us, travelling from La Dordogne in France to Marbella in Spain, for an overnight stay. The breakfast was very good - the coffee was excellent. The buildings are beautifully done and had it not been in February, we would have loved to enjoy the lovely terrace and grounds.

Lovely location, well equiped and spacious room, great breakfast, perfect for a one night stay on our way to the ferry at Bilbao.

Both the bar and restaurant were closed, it would have been useful to know this before we arrived so we could make alternative dining plans. Lighting in the room was poor, could do to be a lot brighter.

The breakfast was amazing we were leaving extra early in the morning before the usual time for breakfast so they made us the best breakfast picnic you can imagine so accommodating.

Struggled to find it but with Google maps we got there in the end. Could do with a better sign on the gate

Excellent location, quiet and tranquil yet 5 mins from motorway. Rooms exceptional with everything you might need and beautifully presented and clean. Very good restaurant right outside front door in adjacent grounds. Couldn't ask for anything more. Will definitely book again.

No dislikes at all with this hotel.

Excellent breakfast with good choice. Pleasant staff. Plenty of easy parking. Outdoor seating in garden at back of property. Clean and comfortable.

Using the wooden staircase to get to bathroom during the night. Perhaps a non slip tread would be useful on the steps?
