ibis budget Madrid Centro Lavapies

Clean, modern facilities. Very good breakfast buffet. Quiet room despite very central location in a traditional, busy neighbourhood of Madrid.

The sound of other guests flushing the toilet (either next door or in the room above mine) was very noisy in my room, to the point that it woke me up several times during the night. Similarly annoying, the toilet smells from other rooms were noticeable in my wet room – something must have gone wrong when the ventilation system was installed. The area just inside the door to the room was very dark. I couldn’t even read the display of the air conditioning, which is not illuminated. I used the torch function of my mobile but even then the temperature setting didn’t seem to respond. When I turned off the noisy temperature control system, it automatically came back on after a few minutes. For the price I would have expected a more polished experience.

The staff are, like most ibis hotels, exceptionally helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with pretty much everything you'd expect from an ibis. Breakfast is a fairly limited selection, but still pretty decent!

Unfortunately the hotel is located next to a fairly busy street, and even with the windows closed I struggled to sleep. There weren't any noisy pubs or clubs, it was just local Madrid life. If you're not a light sleeper it's probably fine. Coffee at breakfast wasn't the best either, but there are lots of really good nearby cafés :-)

The property was clean confortable, bigger than other ibis budget items stayed in, it was near to a 24 hours open supermarket and just in front of the metro. The hotel das in a place where i could go to El retiro in the morning then on my way to sol i could drop by the hotel to freshen up, great location ! And we walked a lot to many places since we knew that we always are a 30min walk to the hotel or 2 to 3 metro stops!

Since it was near the 24h supermarket and a bar, people stayed late at night, some people might like it, but people who sleep early wouldn’t, the price was a bit on the expensive end, the breakfast was not bad but not good, it was alright.

This is the 4 time we've stayed here. Does the job, good value, not looking for a fancy spot. Get in for sleep, shower and out exploring Madrid. Great location, .one underground stop to Sol or a 10mins walk. Very handy to have the 24hours supermarket 🛒 next door and a nice Cafe/bar also. The Good Burger 🍔 restaurant a handy spot for nice food on the other side of hotel entrance. Nice little cafes in side street opposite. Bag storage a bonus if your not leaving Madrid early. About 40 mins from Airport to Hotel on underground. Taxi rank opposite hotel. Rooms clean and did the job. Breakfast good value in hotel and does the job. WiFi good. Plugs and USB charging points at side of the bed. Slept great. No noise from street below or other guests.

No complaints. Happy with the hotel, staff, location and value for money. If you want a fancy hotel his is not the one for you. It's a good quality budget hotel.

Well located hotel, across from the metro station, near the grocery store, surrounded by a lot of restaurants. Rooms are clean and very compact. The WC room and shower room are separated, but don't offer privacy. The shower door is transparent. And the WC is not a classical one, and has spaces up and down. Breakfast is acceptable.

At breakfast there can be some vegetables, like cucumbers and tomatoes. Eggs are served, just boiled, and have a strange sour taste

it is a nice budget hotel. I always stay here when in Madrid for a holiday. it is quite noisy outside the hotel, but the windows are good at keeping the noise away. it is continently located close to the metro station and some touristy places like museums. Next to the hotel there is a supermarket which is open 24h.

This time I stayed on the first floor and I could constantly smell cooking. I guess it comes from the neighbouring restaurant. last time it was not an issue as I stayed on the top floor.

Location is very good. Close to centre and many attractions. Staff very helpfull. They did extra favors to me. Room is quite good and clean. Halal food is available very close to it. Grocery store is next building. Metro station is just a minute walk.

If a bidet shower/commode shower can be added, it will a great plus to attract many muslim visitors. Also my door lock was not working and it was not repaired even after my complaint.

The location is excellent for visiting the main museums and the city center. Metro, restaurants and commerce within 50m. There's an underground park bellow the building where you can park the car upon arrival, which is very handy. The room air conditioning and isolation is very effective and is well equipped with modern lights and power outlets. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The streets around are poorly cleaned and the city was extremely hot at the time of the visit (nearly 40 degrees Celsius), even at night the heat wouldn't dissipate coming from the pavement. The rooms are small and with no space for organizing the clothes (specially for 2, no closet or drawers, just two small shelves and a tiny secretary and bench).

Perfect location, right in the square of Lavapies. Easy access to the metro and 15 min walk to the city centre. There is a very convenient supermarket next to the hotel so you can buy some food and eat on your own in the kitchen area. Breakfast was included in the price, a good deal value.

Booked a twin room, beds were a bit too tight. The door by the shower didn't close properly and there was a tiny gap where the water was leaking onto the floor.

Great location, the metro station is crossing the street, there is a carrefour next to it, bars, museums, etc. Super clean, very practical, small space used in a very smart way. I loved everything.

It's not extremely quiet, you can hear things here and there, like party people or a loud vacuum cleaner but nothing crazy. They change the towels every day which is weird because I hung my towels to avoid that, and the TV should have been a smart TV.
