A really nice hotel in a lovely location 25 mins by car outside Mahon. The hotel has a main building/restaurant that overlooks a large pool and some 40 two and three-floor apartment blocks, built in the traditional Spanish style, making for a friendly village look with a welcoming feel. The rooms are super clean, spacious and surprisingly well furnished for holiday apartments. We took a standard apartment on a last-minute deal which had a King sized main bed and a king-sized sofa bed, a small kitchen and a separate bathroom/toilet - towels and toiletries are provided and refreshed each day. The apartment was spacious for two and could have accommodated more and was equipped with good air conditioning, a small fridge, microwave and satellite TV. The beds are comfortable and the sheets are crisp and spotless. Each apartment has a good-sized balcony with views that overlook the bay and beach - great for watching the sunset with a glass of wine. The surrounding village is delightful, has a decent supermarket, and the three nearby restaurants - Isabella, Cactus and Okafi - are a stone's throw away, or an easy walk. The restaurants serve genuinely good food - especially Isabella - and the staff give a real welcome to visitors. The hotel itself has a restaurant which is good for breakfast and snacks that overlooks the pool and sunbathing area - handy for a cool beer when soaking in the sun. I would recommend a car or scooter rental if staying for a while - there is a rental office next door to the supermarket - as Fornells is a 30-minute walk and most of the diving, water sports, boat and kayak tours are based there - it's too far to walk back and forth in 36C! Fornells is small, but busy, with a good number of seafood restaurants that make for a nice change of scenery. Very nice hotel and location, I'd recommend it for couples and families who want a relaxing holiday that they can take at their own pace.

That it was very quiet, close to the beach and had a large swimming pool that was not crowded. Also there were supermarkets and restaurants within easy walking distance.

The apartment generally looked clean on the surface but there were quite a lot of hairs on the bathroom floor, in the toilet and some on the sofa bead, where we also found a pair of pyjama shorts down the side! The sofa bed was reasonably comfortable but, instead of being completely horizontal, the foot of the bed was slightly inclined upwards. Some days and nights there were a lot of mosquitoes but fortunately not around the pool. I think the price of 300 euros a night for August is rather high.

Me and my boyfriend stayed for a week, in our first trip to Menorca. The hotel was very nice, good facilities, the apartment was the perfect size and very clean. The balcony is a plus and the view is also nice! Supermarket close by very handy and couple of restaurants 1 min walking. The pool facilities were good as well :) We didn’t have any meals included but we did have breakfast and dinner twice at the hotel, and the price is fair for the quality and variety of food, we did enjoy all the meals! Staff was great, all very polite and nice. Location for us worked really well, to the Ciutadella side takes around 40 min by car but the views are nice so is not much of an effort! Overall, a great stay!

Only downside was the wifi did not work very well, and we could only get signal in the living room. We did not mention to the front desk staff as we barely used it but is something to have a look :)

This is our second time staying at Tirant Playa. The location is fantastic and has a bus stop very close if you wanted to go to neighbouring town Es Mercadal etc. The catering staff are very attentive and made sure my children were well looked after. Even made special requests for my picky eaters! Cala Tirant is a 5 minute walk and remains one of the nicest beaches I’ve been to in Menorca. The water is clear and shallow for children. Would definitely come again! Thank you to the team for making our holiday so special.

Beautiful setting in the mountains overlooking the sea. Very tasteful and quiet resort. Supermarket nearby and several restaurants in walking distance. Beach a 5 min walk. The majority of staff were friendly. Amazing life guard on the pool who really made our stay and made us feel very welcome. Thank you juan

WiFi connection could be improved

I recently had the pleasure of staying at TRH Tirant Playa in Menorca, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel’s location, right by the beautiful beach, was simply breathtaking. The rooms at TRH Tirant Playa were spacious, clean. The comfortable beds ensured a good night’s sleep, and the amenities provided exceeded my expectations. The stunning views from the balcony added a touch of tranquility to my stay. One aspect that truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. Their knowledge of the area helped me make the most of my time in Menorca, recommending fantastic local attractions and restaurants. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch. The appartment, the breakfast , the buffets when available, the friendly barman and life guard, the smiling kitchen staff, the special treatment, the competent staff, the location, the price. Maybe a way to connect the 2 beds so they stay together? Anyway, it reminded me of the shifting tectonic plates which created Menorca. My husband and I had a good laugh. But seriously, maybe offering a connecting piece to keep the beds together might be a welcome idea..

Wifi and mobile phone reception was varied and poor. Soap dispenser was broken and not repaired over the stay. Would like option to conned the two single beds into a double. Had to tie together with rope. Some Tiles in bathroom were cracked Mosquitos were a problem

Nice sized apartment for two. Comfortable beds and a pleasant balcony. Great location with very good restaurants nearby as well as a pretty and safe beach. UK TV stations were a nice touch when the weather wasn't suitable for going out - it does rain in Menorca!

Sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable to sit on. Tried the hotel food, once, and afterwards went to a nearby restaurant which served great food and was extremely good value with friendly staff.

Calm and quiet location . We had a nice view from our apartment . Plenty of parking outside . We had fresh towels every couple of days and bedding changed every week . Pool area was nice , plenty of sun beds . 10 minute walk from the beach . All the staff were very friendly . Air con in the bedroom and living room . Heating in the bathroom .

The wifi was a bit slow and would disconnect sometimes .
