We felt for the price point this hotel well suited our needs. Rooms were just the right size for two and they had connecting rooms which we requested travelling as a family. No complaints really, the staff were amazing, breakfast was good with great coffee to start the day. Far from the city center but as we drove it was fine for us and the free parking was great to have. We tried the train option to town and the drive option as well. Cark Park in the city was tight but manageable and costlier. Overall a great choice if travelling on a budget and ok to stay out of the city and commute daily. There is a different Holiday Inn in the city center do make sure your directions take you to the right one.

Rooms are a bit dated and tired but so were most of the other hotels we stayed in. Mattress and pillow were a little firm but nothing to loose sleep over. Bathroom tiles around the tub area could do with a bit of steam cleaning to rid of mould etc.

The hotel was situated in a pleasant city with all amenities (supermarket, laundrette, restaurants) close by, literally next door. It only took us 30 minutes to get to Barcelona's city centre by Rodalies train and it was very cheap as there was a special summer offer 10€ for unlimited transport. There were trains from 6am till midnight, 2 or 3 trains per hour. Free breakfast with the room was also great. There was plenty of choice every day and we loved the watermelon slices on offer as well as the tortilla with tomato salsa and olive oil. The staff were very welcoming, efficient and helpful.

The morning breakfast was very popular so it tended to be very crowded around 9pm. Maybe the breakfast area could've been bigger to avoid that rush-hour feel.

Well kept and smoothly run. Staff was very helpful in pointing out nearby stores and restaurants. They stored our bags the first day, since we arrived well before check in and when a room came ready, check in was quick.

Be Disco next door on the weekends. The offer of ear plugs didn’t really explain why we would want them; until 1 am Friday night/Saturday morning.

Great location, 5-7 min from the train station that takes you to Barcelona city centre in 30 min. The staff is awesome, friendly, pleaseant, and helpful in whatever you need. Good breakfast that is being replenished all the time. This is a great value for money hotel and I highly recommend it.

The bathtub is a little bit slippery, so we almost fell several times when entering it.. There is not enough storage space for a family of four in the room.

The staff are friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Maria L who was exceptionally helpful and made us felt welcome every time she sees us in the morning breakfast. They let us store our luggages securely as we arrived early in the morning and get to have breakfast. As an IHG member checked out late so we manage to have lunch prior to our departure. They were also very helpful with public transportation. Would recommend!

The noise during weekends.

The room was standard where most of the Holiday Inn Express had. Room size is just nice when sofa bed open up for family of 4 (with 2 small children). Beds were comfortable.

Breakfast a bit let down as not much selection. Sofa bed mattress was just ok and pillows can be improve. The train station is around 10 minutes away by walking.

Close proximity to airport, if driving a car. Had all the essentials and a good continental breakfast included.

Proximity to a type of nightclub nearby with exterior music/noise loud enough to penetrate through upper floor sealed windows. Noise quieted down about 0645, just in time to get up. Spouse is a light sleeper so it was an irritant.

We had two really good stays here. Family of four (kids 3&6). Great friendly staff, easy check in/out Great quiet room, comfortable beds, good value. Had nice shampoo/ body wash. Breakfast was AMAZING (so many food options, great cafe beverage machine) Location -Easy to find just off the Hwy approx 15min from airport. -Easy to get into Barcelona with a short walk to the R4 train station (5-10min) straight into the city (30min). Was a perfect base. -Easy 30min drive to Montserrat monastery train. Free on location parking Right beside a larger grocery store and coffee shop Large park right across the street Free WIFI

First stay-toilet wouldn’t flush properly Second stay- air conditioning was cool but not cold WIFI spotty at times

Breakfast : There was a standard Menu for the breakfast. You could have a menu per day, so there is a variety in the breakfast. Room: Rooms were cleaned everyday and was kept neat. Bed: Bed linens were changed regularly and was comfortable. Reception was very friendly. They arranged a Taxi very quickly.

Coffee was really average. You could probably look at changing the coffee machine/Coffee powder.

it was really nice, there were towels, shampoo, shower gel, enough of everything. staff was polite, answered various questions how to reach the city centre. location is not bad too as near from the hotel there stops for busses, trains. We went only with one buss to the centre, then walked about 40mins and were in the centre. breakfast were simple but enough for various tastes.

pillows were a little strange one too hard, the other too soft, but it is possible to addapt for a few days
