Real Segovia by Recordis Hotels

The staff were exceedingly helpful during our stay. We arrived way earlier than intended and had hoped to leave our cases, but they instead made our room available immediately. The reception staff took time to give us directions to important sights and ensured we had everything we needed. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, and they had a beautiful rooftop terrace with views of the town which we made use of twice during our stay. Highly recommend.

In the heart of the old town, the location is perfect to enjoy the city. It has a reserved parking space nearby to unload your luggage and the public free parking is not far away (although it takes a while to get there by car, you can get back to the hotel in 8 minutes by foot, if you do not have any mobility issues (you have some stairs to climb...). The room was nice and perfect for us, has it had a nice entry hall where we could fit the baby's crib (we prefer to have it in a different space from our own bed) The breakfast was very good, even though we thought it can be made even better with a few adjustments

There was almost nothing to dislike about it. In the breakfast, we found the scrambled eggs a bit dry and tasteless, and the orange juice would obviously be better if it was natural. But despite these minor faults, breakfast was still very good.

A 4* hotel lived up to it's billing. Everything was a step above the 3* hotels we frequent. We spent only one night here, but the location in Segovia was great for seeing the sites. The common space and rooftop terrace had spectacular views. The staff was great, we're sorry we didn't get the buffet breakfast. We took the bus from the train station and had an easy walk from the acueducto stop with our carryon baggage. Room was spacious, bathroom was great. We would stay here when we return.

If you drive, you have to find a public parking spot.

A very nice hotel centrally located in the heart of old town in Segovia. Only a 5-10 mins walk to nearby restaurants and tourist attractions. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff who maintained constant communications with me from start to check-in. Rooms were spacious and clean, and beds were very comfortable too. The included buffet breakfast was adequate for a short stay.

It was quite confusing trying to drive into the old town, you have to read the signs carefully as we drove around for almost an hour trying to get to the hotel. The sign on the main entrance to the old town said "No Entry", but after driving around for a while, we finally noticed the small letter writing on the sign also said "Except for hotel guests and local deliveries".

Excellent location in central Segovia. Walkable to all the main sites with lots of great restaurants just steps outside the door. Staff was great and happy to help in English. Good communication in advance about parking and access by car (the hotel is on a pedestrian street but there is public parking and drop of points within 5-10 min walk). The view from my room was exactly what I hoped based on the pictures for my room type (suite). Bed was comfortable and room was clean.

Some of the reviews/marking I saw suggested this is a luxury hotel, and I would not say that. It was perfectly comfortable and a good value for the location, but things like the basic furnishings, worn fabric, and somewhat dated common spaces made it a step down for me. But as long as you’re not expecting all that, it’s not a problem!

The hotel is in the heart of the old part of town, which is fantastic because you can visit it after the day trippers have gone in the evening and before they return next morning. That does mean you have to hike your bags all the way from a car park because it is totally pedestrianised outside the hotel, and Segovia is on a couple of hills. However, having had the Juderia and the castle practically to ourselves late on arrival and early the next day I think it’s 100% worth it. Also this hotel’s checkout time is 12 so you can leave stuff in your room while you enjoy the early morning in pretty Segovia. Reception staff were charming and helpful, hotel is 1950s style but they’ve updated what they can, and they’ve retained a certain dated elegance. Great views from roof terrace. Wifi worked fine in the room.

I can’t think of anything negative.

The room was big and comfortable, all the key necessities were provided.

The terrace wasn't available for a whole day when we were there (the view is stunning up there though!); Our coffee machine didn't work (had a missing capsule inserter...) It was impossible to get boiled water anywhere in the hotel after 9 pm (asked the reception). The parking situation was very complicated, we just left our car in the free parking downhill. This might be the case for most old town hotels though.

The Hotel is within the city and very well positioned to visit all the sights. The view from the roof top terrace is something not to be missed as the sun goes down. Our car was taken to a safe parking place and delivered back when we left, all in good order.

The directions to the Hotel through the pedestrian areas, especially at Fiesta time, proved challenging but a kind Policeman came to our rescue and parted the crowds along our way!

The staff are all sooo friendly especially Natalia and Gracia in the reception, their warmth and kindness to customers are commendable! The beautiful cleaning lady (i forgot to ask her name!) is very friendly and helpful too. Thank you for making our stay extra memorable for our 30th anniversary, we definitely recommend this place to visitors who'd like to explore Segovia. The hotel is very near to all tourist's spots, and the price is affordable. Thank youuuuuuu❤️

This hotel is exceptionally well appointed with a glamorous history. This is where old movie stars stayed in the days (60s and 70s) when shooting pictures in Spain. There’s a large painting in the lobby which shows some of these stars. That said, the room was great with a partial view of the cathedral and working air conditioning! in early morning I watched hot air balloons drift by from the East. Absolutely magical.
