I judge hotels for reviews like this by what they promise. Not all promise the same and so not all hotels rated 'excellent' are the same: they promise different things and they charge different prices. The Rio Arga delivered all it promised, and more. The rooms were straightforward but large and airy; they were fine for a sit-down between excursions, and spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful, efficient and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was constantly topped-up and provided a good range of options. The location is excellent, with a good café just next door, a laundrette down the street, and the sights of the city close-by. It's a quick taxi ride to the station - Zaragoza Delicias - and the whole stay was good fun.

Very friendly and warm welcome! Extremely well situated, as central as can be! I got good advice from the receptionist to have a great dinner experience in the neighbourhood - El Tubo. Everything is at walking distance and it was very handy to have my car parked at the hotel (17€/day).

I had a room next to the elevator which started to make noice very early in the morning. But ok for one night. The isolation of the rooms is not great, you hear the people talking next to your room.

Location is beyond expectation, you can't get closer to all the main sights, and yet its still so quiet at night. 2 min walk to main square, 5mins to el tubo There is a really nice cafe on the corner, and a mini market 2 streets over. The rooms are basic but clean and comfy Its a value for money option, so don't expect luxury but what you get is perfect for a short stay

The rooms are a little more dated than the pictures, but in saying that, they are exceptionally clean. There is no shampoo but it's not a major issue

The location is superb for pedestrian access to the old town, but if arriving by be prepared for a torturous drive in and a worse drive out. You really will believe you are driving through a pedestrian area, which, in effect, you are. This is our 4th stay, so as you might guess, it's worth the effort.

The hotel is faultless. There is nothing we didn't like. We have a dog and as on previous visits, were given a ground floor room, so no coping with staircases and lifts. However, having a dog means we can't try the breakfasts, so we use a traditional Spanish style restaurant with outside seating about 50 metres away. We have not found the Spanish to be particularly dog tolerant but having said that, there are plenty of dog lovers/owners in the town, making for a very relaxed and pleasant stay.

Super location, but I had a car and had to find street parking, which I did after a few times of driving around. Not really a problem as I did not have luggage. The town is MOST interesting and the Goya Museum is FAB. There was a Goya Festival, complete with a parade of townsfolk. It was a great visit.

I paid 7 EU for the breakfast. That was not worth the money or time. A croissant and coffee at the Matisse Cafe by the river would have been a better idea.

Excellent location right in the heart of Zaragoza city centre. Staff were friendly and hotel was good value for money. Would definitely recommend

I had a room on the fourth floor which is in the eaves of the building. Room was smallish but absolutely fine. The shower was only really suitable for a very short person. I had to bend over to get my head under the shower. In reality, not a big deal for me and well outweighed by the positives

Location excellent, breakfast was only a continental buffet but plenty of choice and worth the price. Personel in the hotel friendly and helpful. There was no bar or extras but that was expected, a relatively cheap hotel perfect if you just want a bed for the night in the centre of town. parking spots tight but available!

bedrooms / bathrooms need modernisation, shower was a bit hit and miss.

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect - right in the heart of the old city center. Stores, bus stops, restaurants, tourist attractions - everything is very very close. Very friendly and helpful staff. Super clean room.

There was only one socket free in a room for two people. Had to unplug the TV to charge the second phone. That's kind of inconvenient in today's world, when people have many gadgets to charge. A mirror in the room would have also been a good idea, as the one in the bathroom was always steaming up due to the lack of a fan. The amazing location also comes with a downside - the noise that's happening in the center at night.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The hotel is located in the very center of Zaragoza.

The breakfast menu was surprisingly poor. After all, there is such a great selection of cheeses and fruit in Spain, but here only sweets, cream cheese and sausage were served. I'd rather pay a little more but get a better breakfast. I`d like to stress that this the only thing I did not like in the hotel (well, maybe the fridge in the room also needs some maintenance)
