Very friendly and helpful hosts, very tasty breakfast. The place was clean and the owners allowed us to leave bags early until check in ( as we came early in the morning).

I only stayed for one night at Hotel Dorset before catching my flight the next morning and will definitely be back for a longer stay! The place is lovely! Clean and cozy and very comfy beds (and mosquito nets:)). The hosts are so kind and caring, they greeted me with fresh juice and offered to make me an evening meal, and made me the most delicious breakfast before I left. They were also drove me to the airport the next morning and made sure that I got there safely, which I am incredibly grateful for. An absolute pleasure to stay here and to meet these wonderful people:)

The only minor complaint I had was due to my neighbors who arrived at 4am from their flight, and didn't realize they had a neighbor! They turned on all the lights (there was a glass panel at the top of the locked adjoining door, so the light lit my room up too), and started playing music and singing along. They were very apologetic when I knocked on their door, and this is no fault of the hotel, though it may be worth mentioning to guests arriving late that others are sleeping.

The hosts here are very caring and helped me a lot, particularly when I was having trouble getting transport to the airport. They ended up arranging the transport for me and waited with me to make sure it worked out. They also provided a cool drink on arrival and a lovely breakfast at the requested time. The location is great and the rooms are very good.

Don and his family were great hosts! Accommodation was everything we needed. Location was perfect (beach 5min walking)! The breakfast at Dorset was beyond our expectations! With the typical fruits and flavours from Sri Lanka.

I would describe this more as a guest house rather than hotel. The owners who run it, a father and son were so so kind to me. They made beautiful breakfast every morning, gave me advice about my travels and organised taxis/tours etc. I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Dorset!

Great staff, lovely breakfast. Best Papaya juice so far. Stayed here 2 nights with no problems at all the power of the shower is not great but this seems to be all over Sri Lanka.

Hotel Dorset is a nice place to stay in Negombo. The family who run this is so lovely and helpful. The break fast was delicious, and in a really good quantity! The room was big, clean and with a balcony

Owner operated, lovely people, couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. The location is convenient to many good quality food outlets, shops and the beach. Clean, everything worked, and again, a secure, family owned welcoming stay.

It was a pleasure staying in the Hotel Dorset❤️ They treated me like a King 👑 I ate typical Sri Lankan food like roti, rice-curry & a very special, healthy, green soup for athletics lived in the tower room which was superb, cause the wifi worked perfectly & it was quite. Supportive staff and high recommended 👍

Great hospitality and really friendly people. I stayed 3 nights to get rid of my jetlag and to plan my following trip around Sri Lanka. I can recommend to stay at this place. The breakfast is also really good and up and down the streets are a few great local restaurants. I liked the place!
