Camelot was the perfect place to recover from the 30 hours of flights from USA via Qatar for a couple of days before my work in Colombo. The hotel location and grounds were beautiful, right on the beach, with large grounds and 3 pools surrounding a central bar. Lots of different sitting and lounging areas for added levels of privacy. Beautiful landscaping with mature tropical foiliage and trees. When lit up at night it was a wonderland. Extra bonus was a full moon, lighting up the beach and ocean. My room (a king deluxe) had balcony with view of the grounds and beach behind. Breakfast room also adjacent to the pool. Also had a local vibe on weekend with Sri Lanka families there.

The water in shower was not hot enough for my taste. I was fine with no elevators, but others with mobility issues would have problems if they stayed on upper floors. Even moving from ground-level reception to the ground floor newer wing required steps up and down. The hotel is showing its age a bit, but good value for money.

The hotel lying on the sea side.Nice and spacious rooms. Excellent buffet kitchen. Two pools, nice and well-kept garden with sun beds.Helpful stuff. Not so far from the Colombo international airport. There was a wedding at the hotel. Despite the huge storm on a saturday afternoon they reorganized the party.To the delight of the young couple and their guests and the hotels guests. I think they made a fantastic job.

The hotel it does not have its own beach. Actually the beach in this are not the best for swimming because of the big waves and because the water is rapidly deepening. Also the send is not that very fine. Alternativly you can enjoy the seaside from the garden of the hotel and from the pool, from where you have a sea ​​view under the palm trees. We saw a lot of crows arround the hotel.They were disturbing because of the sounds.

The room was beautiful, with an amazing view, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was really good. Also, in the evening there was a man playing saxofone by the pool- it was a nice environment for my last evening in Sri Lanka.

They don’t have elevator which was a bit painful for me since I have an injured foot. But the thing I really did not enjoy was the employer that was responsible for sunbeds and umbrellas. He interrupted me many times asking questions, he was staring at me from time to time and at a certain point I had to tell him to leave me alone. As a woman travelling alone it is unfortunately not the first time I see this happening but I have to admit that it ruined a bit my afternoon by the pool. On top of that, although I was told the pool was open until 8pm, around 6-6:30 they took all the sun beds away and employees (more men) were looking at me and I felt obliged to leave. Another thing that is annoying in this area is all the crows around. At breakfast there was even one that attacked my plate.

Location was excellent, stunning by the pool and with the sea in the background, staff were friendly and went above and beyond, breakfast was great huge selection of items, they packed us a breakfast the morning we left as we were leaving early, the juice on arrival is a nice touch.

We arrived early around 10am and didn’t expect our room to be ready, they left us waiting in the sofa area for 20+ mins without telling us anything, it was our first stay in Sri Lanka and it was a little off putting however they made up for it. Alcohol was expensive in comparison to other places, water on arrival would have been welcomed. People offering their services on the beach, we were approached many times by people trying to sell us things even when we were inside the private property/sat by the pool.

The hotel is located within tropical gardens next to the beach. It is within easy distance of the airport and is a perfect stopping off point at the start/end of a holiday. The 2 pools, beach bar and spa are well appointed and maintained. The restaurant opens out onto the pool and gardens,, making a relaxing start to the day at breakfast time. The staff are attentive and helpful.

We upgraded to a larger room on our 2nd visit but found the regular rooms and bathrooms more modern and better designed so would definitely stick with that price level next time.

It is a big hotel with a large swimming pool area. The room was clean and spacious with a fridge and a balcony. The staff was friendly and they spoke quite well English. We ate the dinner and breakfast buffet here. They had a lot of dishes that we were able to taste here. I recommend these buffets even though I had my concerns about the hygiene beforehand. They had a colder room for fresh products and heaters for prepared dishes. The pool area was perfect and we were also able to go swimming in the sea through the public beach.

The water in the sea seemed not to be very clear or clean and there were some waste floating. I wouldn't recommend Negombo beach without a pool area if you are looking for a beach holiday with swimming.

SUPER FRIENDLY FRONT DESK. THEY WELCOMED US WARMLY AND OUR ROOM WAS GIVEN WITHOUT ANY HAZZLE AND DELAY. SUPER FRIENDLY CLEANING STAFF. THEY KEEP IN AND OUT OF THE HOTEL VERY NEAT AND TIDY. SUPER FRIENDLY RESTAURANT STAFF WHO ARE VERY MUCH QUICK AND ATTENTIVE TO THE NEEDS OF THE CUSTOMERS. THEY RESPECT THE CUSTOMERS AND WE ARE THEIR TOP PRIORITY. VERY CLEAN ROOMS AND THE GARDEN. ALSO THE BEACH SPECKLESS. THIS WAS OUR FOURTH STAY. WE HOPE TO FREQUENT THE HOTEL AGAIN AND AGAIN. THERE WAS FOOD VARIETY MOSTLY.

ONE DAY WE HAD TO TAKE FOOD FROM THE ALA CARTE, AND IT TOOK NEARLY I HOUR. THE MOP THEY USE IS NOT SUITABLE TO CLEAN THE FLOOR. THE POOL ATTENDANT IS TOO FAR AWAY FROM THE POOL MOSTLY. IT WOULD BE BETTER IF THEY PUT UP A ROOF FOR OUR VEHICLES.

The location of the hotel was by the beach side. The bar & restaurant at the swimming pool was close to the sea giving a exotic view & ambience. The food served was tasty. Sampat , who was serving us did an exceptional service. The buffet breakfast had a vast menu & was tasty .

The reception staff could have had better coordination. The next shift staff were not being suitably briefed . There was no elevator access to our room on the top floor. Buffet dinner should have been tastier.

Hotel was a short drive from the airport. Room was big and bed was comfy. It had nice pool facilities and practically on the beach, so we enjoyed watching sunset at the end of the day. Restaurant offered lots of options, including a BBQ buffet every Saturday. Hotel were kind enough to sort transport to Sigiriya as well, with a packed breakfast due to checking out early. Good place for a night when arriving in Sri Lanka

Had a wonderful stay Breakfast buffet was excellent so many choices highly recommended and the staff was friendly and helpful must mention Viraj who is trying to come up with activities for Guests to past time also must thank the Restaurant Manager and Rest of the staff including the maintenance guys who attended to our AC promptly as it was making strange noise..the rooms and the building need bit of up keeping overall it was lovely stay and wish them all the Best
