My room was in excellent condition - probably the best I've stayed in for work. I think it may be the first time I haven't remarked that a bathroom in particular didn't look tired. Room was warm even though it was freezing outside, no problems with that. There was a good area to take off your snow boots and big coats without getting into the room proper. The breakfast was really nice and being able to get a complimentary hot drink in the evenings when you got in made this really nice experience. Apart from the out of hours checkin which I struggled with a little bit, everything was flawless.

The late check-in was the only thing I remotely struggled with. I went to the front door first, the instructions say the use the backdoor, but as it's built into two/three adjoining buildings, it's not immediately obvious in the dark how to get to the back. Maybe a little map there for late check-ins you put up at night?

This hotel is very nice. It is located not far from the center, near the park and one of the main sight- the cathedral. The hotel is in an old building, but inside everything is quite modern. There are some numbers in honor of famous people in Sweden. My was named by Sweden poetess Karin Boye. The rooms themselves are restrained, concise, but with a pleasant atmosphere. Good breakfast, wonderful back yard with tables overlooking the cathedral.

The rooms are very clean and the bed is comfy and soft. I really liked that you could always go to the kitchen and get free drinks like water, coffee or hot chocolate, and fruits. The staff were helpful. We used the conference room but the staff were a bit confused with the technique and the cables. I needed to change rooms for personal reasons and was allowed to check-in in the new room in the morning. The breakfast yogurt was very delicious!

The hotel is situated on a small hill outside of the city center, so you will need to walk quite a bit uphill or take the bus. The breakfast could've been a bit more varied. There was no chocolate spread, no honey, and only one assortment of cheese.

Breakfast for me was just right. Beverages, fruit and biscuits available 24h :D comfortable seating areas. Happened to travel during unexpected heatwave and humidity was high. The only drawback the hotel is not at all AC and could not get comfortable nor sleep well. However staff went out of the way to see what they can do to soften the situation. If you do not like ur room, find faults eg no curtains or cannot open or shut a window, or need a fan the staff will try to resolve - they were helpful to me and I was grateful. Note, it’s a pleasant hotel in a key location - if you like walking you won’t mind a little hill, if you have heavy suitcase then it can be a little arduous unless you take a taxi. I did not mind, I got a good workout!

No AC! But this hotel is not an isolated one. My families and their friends stayed all over central Uppsala and in some of the best hotels and they too are not AC’d. My initial room had no curtains and was very stiflingly hot, humid and claustrophobic- although a decent size and comfortable room.

Loved it even more than I expected and felt very much at home. Super clean, perfect breakfast (pancakes and fresh vitamin shots, among other things), comfortable bed, friendly staff, characteristic building, central location, fantastic view of the cathedral towers nearby. I was in the single person economy room with a shared bathroom up the hallway, which was fine. I also appreciated that the windows could be opened and there were no annoying ventilation system noises, like in many other hotels. Suitable for solo traveling and business trips; there were plenty places in the building to sit with your book or laptop, with free coffee, tea and cookies.

The sauna was a bit tucked away in the basement, behind another room. The other room could maybe be restyled a bit to make it more pleasant to hang out in for a bit. Also (but this has nothing to do with the hotel) if you're not used to being this far up north, like me, I would recommend bringing a sleeping mask! In early May, already, the sun rose so early I would wake up and feel like it was time to start the day, only to find out that it was still the middle of the night and I had only slept 3-4 hours.

It's a great little hotel with comfy beds, fantastic staff and a cozy sauna. The breakfast is really good as well

I can't think of anything other than it was a bit dusty, likely from s previous guest having the window open. Oh and the students playing drums at 3am in the streets were a bit annoying but I was 19 before - I can put a pillow over my head

I stayed in a double room with my wife, everything was good. We liked that we could use the kitchen for free chocolate drinks and water all day. The WIFI was excellent.

Although the double bed was comfy, it wasn't one large single bed, but two beds with a gap in the middle. The breakfast was average, some of the boiled eggs were too soft and there was no chocolate spread or honey. The hotel is located a bit uphill, which is good to see the castle and the botanical gardens, but not so good for trips to the city center.

This is a lovely hotel in a charming and well kept building. The staff at reception were particularly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and attractive and very comfortable and the location in town was just great -- in the charming old section very near to the cathedral and other attractions. All at an excellent price!

beautiful location and lovely atmosphere. Very helpful staff and nice breakfast.

Parking was a bit difficult. We didn’t specifically request parking as we thought it was included (perhaps be a bit clearer on this procedure), but did try to book on the spot. However we were told the lot was full already, only there were a few spaces empty for the whole evening, night and morning we stayed?

The rooms were really nice and well done. I really like the renovation in the classic style, and you could tell it wasn't rushed and was quality work. The bathroom was especially nice. Big and very nice.

Breakfast was always well stocked, but there was a lack of warm dishes. It's a minor quibble, but I like to have some warm food for breakfast when staying at a hotel. The food that was there was plenty and good quality.
