Very central place in the city, near to many restaurants and parks, our windows were facing the river, which was nice and quiet. The personal was very friendly at all times and helped us to pick up breakfast take away, as we needed to leave early. We liked that we could park the car at the facility too. Overall, a nice place to stay.

A bit small bathroom and weird narrow placement of the toilette. It was very hot in the room, as there is no AC, and we did not want to open windows. The room TV was randomly turning on during the night, so we had to go up and physically unplug it.

This Hotel in the middle of Uppsala ticked most of my boxes for what i look in for a hotel. The combination of a late 1800´s arcitecture (witch i love) and a central location i was pleased whit all i got. Nice comfy room that were modern but pulled off that "old feel" was perfect, staf was nice and helpfull and i realy enjoyed my stay

i hapend to have a courtyard facing room and the only down side to this was the steal loading ramp for hotel deliveries at ground level that 6 am in the morning had something roled on them, but hey i guess free wakeupcall?

We loved the atmosphere and location. While the rooms were very comfortable and clean - we loved the pillows and choice of bedding material, which was very smooth - especially the character of the hotel, the designs in the lobby, lounge and bedrooms was very pleasing. we also loved the break fast buffet, nice choices, especially the healthy smoothies and healthy ginger and lemon shots. Its those extra things that stand out. the staff was also extremely friendly in a natural way, it made us feel very special and welcome.

Lovely old hotel with a super helpful staff. There was seating outside in front of the hotel as well as a nice area inside just off the entrance. The room was simple, very comfortable and had a really large window. The location was ideal- an easy walk from the central station to many of the local sights. And it is right on the river that runs through Uppsala. The staff member who checked me in was very patient and helpful with a reservation that a bit confusing. I loved this place!

I was very happy with the hotel.

We were upgraded to a junior suite, presumably thanks to Booking.com Genius status. The room was beautiful. The bed was super comfy with lots of pillows. The view from the balcony was amazing. The bar was excellent and the breakfast was delicious.

I miss the old door keys they had. It's an old hotel and despite the modern convenience of a plastic room key, I miss the charm of the old key fob they used to have. Other than that, I can't really say there was anything I didn't like.

I like the atmosphere of the hotel, a well renovated historical interior, tall ceilings and a perfect central location next to the river. The room is relatively simple, but comfortable with all the basic things I need. Very good wifi, nice breakfast and a charming hotel bar. Excellent service at reception and in the bar.

The only issue is the noise from the corridor, especially early in the morning. All the doors in the hotel are huge heavy wooden doors which close with a loud bang.

Great location near canal and restaurants. Lovely big room with a balcony overlooking the canal and we were given a free upgrade on arrival. Comfortable and clean and lovely. Breakfast was fantastic.

Not much really. Only thing I can think of is sound proofing as a couple of later to bed guests were pretty noisy in the hallway but it certainly did not affect our stay. Hotel parking is a bit tight and is an extra charge - quite pricey on top of the room rate but this seems standard throughout city locations in Europe.

Breakfast was nice. Hotell feels clean. Reception staff and especially Jennie very nice and helpful. Location is great, close to the center. My room was incredible, high ceiling, on a corner, and with a 4 poster bed. That the parking is right next door. Nice bath products.

The lack of a safety deposit box in the room (?). No warm floor in the bathroom. The very tiny parking spaces and the very tight entrance to the parking.

This is a traditional hotel of long standing, which is maintained to a very high standard. We observed renovation materials of good quality throughout. Some rooms offer a fine view over the river and the city towards the university and cathedral.

Only this, that our twin-bedded room was somewhat small, and lacked storage space such as cupboards and drawers.

The hotel's standard rooms were fully booked for this night, so we booked a Junior Suite at twice the price. We would actually rather describe this accommodation as a spacious corner room with three windows offering views over the river and over Bangårdsgatan, and we have the impression that it is frequently let as a bridal room. The wide double bed was a steel-framed four-poster construct, complemented by two armchairs. Decorative order was very good, cleanliness was exceptional, and we felt comfortable. The price of the room no doubt reflects local market conditions, and we have no complaint.
