Location - I loved the convenience of staying a minute from the train station Breakfast - it's a proper full breakfast to start your day Host/owner - accommodating, friendly and helpful :) Safety - only guests with key can enter the front entrance to access lounge and cafe area. Single room with shared bathroom - bathroom is shared between the 3 single rooms only. It was super clean! Appenzel ticket - free public transportation and perks included if you stay 3 nights or more. This was so useful!! I loved how even a few cable cars are included

My wife and I loved everything about Stossplatz. The location was perfect since it was by the train station where we could jump on to our next hiking location. The facilities were excellent with easy checking in (i.e., electronic system) to providing a common area to relax and have wine or a beer. In addition, the breakfast was worth the extra money. Finally, the hosts were fantastic. They were very friendly and helpful in planning our day. Overall, we would highly recommend Stossplatz.

I cannot recommend this place enough as a solo traveler, or for anyone staying in Appenzel. Monica and Katrin are extremely friendly and helpful host and it's the perfect base location to hike and explore the mountains of Appenzel. It's right next to the train station and if you are staying for more than 3 days you will get a pass for the local transport including cable cars! The continental breakfast is wonderful and will set you up for a day of exploring. It's also only a couple of minutes walk to great restaurants in the centre of Appenzel Village. Very pleasant stay, highly recommend

Staff are very friendly and supportive and responsive. I really do appreciate the help and service from Stossplatz team. The variety of breakfast is extensive and freshly presented. I enjoyed the time in Appenzell and hope you all enjoy the stay.

The only one power socket is really far from the bed and I had to pull off the power of table lamp and use the socket to charge my phone at night.

We had a great stay at Hotel B&B Stossplatz! The breakfast, the staff (Katrin and her mother), the service, convenient with a parking space right outside, the proximity to the Appenzell city center, restaurants, train station and more - was really great! We could not have wished for better accommodation during our hike weekend in Appenzellerland! Highly recommended and we will of course return!

the property was conveniently located across from the train station in a very quiet and clean area. the rooms were spotless and the breakfast was so yummy and plentiful. I truly felt welcome and like I was at home. my husband and I stayed for 3 nights and were given holiday vouchers that allowed us to ride the buses and cable cars for free. so very pleased with our stay.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming when we arrived. We had a delicious fresh breakfast each morning. The staff were also very helpful in recommending things for us to do. The hotel is right beside the train station. There are lots of wonderful activities to engage in in the area, lovely hiking trails and cable cars to viewpoints.

Very clean, quiet, and close to train station, as well. Breakfast was superb. Very friendly proprietors, who made us feel very welcome. I was a little wary of the check in process, but that went very smoothly and without a glitch.

Breakfast was excellent with very kind service and a variety of choices. The room was clean and self check in was very clear. The s train station is right around the corner to transportation was a breeze.

Very friendly and welcoming manager, who also gave us local tips. The location is good, just right next to the Appenzell train station.

No bad points, the service was good. The automatic self-check-in was unexpected, but worked out fine.
