The property was perfect for us. We are two older Australians hiking in France and Italy and we love have self contained facilities. It had a very nice kitchen, though a kettle would have been useful. It was very close to teh train station to allow us in and out of Bern

It was so nice I hate to complain but a kettle or jug would have been nice to make a cup of tea. We could boil water on the stove or in the coffee machine, but this was a little awkward. We would still return and highly recommend this place.

Location is good, under 10 mins of walking from train station. Juice , coffee and milk are free flow. Eventhough is shared bath, there are only 3 or 4 room on each level, I didnot pump into anyone or need to wait to use the barhroom. Every where is clean. Owner was very friendly and allow us to leave our luggage, gave us a key to enter the building after we have checked out. Eventhough is self check in, was easy and hassle free; just remember to get the key box code via email or booking platform.

Good spot. Gives you everything you need. Good wifi (we worked remotely there and had video calls). great kitchen. Price is as cheap as you're going to get in Bern or any central location in Switzerland. Spacious bedroom and quiet space as far as tenants and interior noise goes. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast cereals/muesli, dried fruit, milk/cream, and coffee machine - these were nice touches along with the kitchen and helped us save some $$$ on going out for every meal.

The exterior noise was a bit loud since right next to the train station, but honestly didn't bother us much since my wife and I are sound sleepers and were happy with the stay.

Very convenient location (about 15-minute walk from the train station). Check-in was easy (retrieving key from lockbox at door) and the room was adequately comfortable. I felt it was a very good value all things considered and would be happy to stay here again.

There was no communication about how check-out should work (ie what to do with the key), and I was put off by the defensive signs posted asking visitors not to leave negative reviews. It was also odd that the shared bathroom had a sign posted to only shower before 9:30pm. The shower isn't loud; it wasn't clear to me why hour of usage would be a problem.

It's an experience and not just a stay, it's located in an old authentic building and very classic in it's design and ambiance. Self check -in is very easy. The room and bathroom are spotless. The staff, especially Stephan, are very helpful and understanding. The bed is extremely comfortable and the room is quiet. The kitchen is backed with different kind of freebies like teas, honey and spices. Cook your own food is a lovely idea. Very close to the train station and transportation.

The stairs are quite high and I didn't see that there is no elevator. I had a big heavy bag.

Great location. Lovely character and feeling. My wife and I are both architects and enjoy interesting physical environments. Easy to use the well stocked kitchen for meals and particularly for breakfast - delicious cereals made available for guest use, as well as generous milk and juice. Very clean, easy to use kitchen. Would stay again. The owner, Stefan is a nice guy.

Bedrooms could do with just small bedside tables and, wherever we go not enough hooks to hang things on.

We liked that we could check-in early. The location is perfect especially for those arriving by train. We loved the kitchen - it has everything including tea, coffee, milk, orange juice and various types of muesli, and also two ovens and a lot of dishes, pans, pots, etc. We liked that we could leave the luggage but unfortunately there was not a special place for it and theoretically it could be taken by other guests (this point actually should be safe in Switzerland :) ).

We could hear all what was happening in the stairs and unfortunately not all guests are respectful. On the other hand, windows protected us well from the train noise. Also there is no elevator.

The room was large and airy with high ceilings and a balcony. It was very spacious and comfortable. Very close to the train station and town. We loved every minute of our time here.

Because we were right next to the train station if you sleep with the window open it can be very noisy. Obviously that is not something that can be fixed but bring ear plugs. With the windows closed you can't hear the trains and it is very quiet.

The place feels very homey. I like that they supply herbs and spices to cook (not that I cooked during my short stay 🤭), but it makes the kitchen feels very much alive. Although I didn’t meet the host, all my questions was very immediately answered. The staffs were very helpful too.

The floors produces creaky sounds as I walk, so I was afraid I might disturb other occupants, but I guess it can‘t be avoided with wooden floors.

Great concept to have a hotel and a lovely home in one. The room and communal space is beautifully decorated. Attention to detail and great kitchen facilities.

I could not find a microwave in the kitchen. Perhaps more directions to property would help. When I arrived google maps took me on a very long detour around the station. Once I knew where the property was it was much easier and the location is perfect near the station and okd city.
