Great location in the Altstadt Rich breakfast Good Lighting Very clean

Arriving at the assigned room is a labyrinthine path: 1) First elevator, 2) passage through the breakfast room, 3) second elevator, 4) insidious steps not marked (where I strumpled fortunately without consequences). Path of Kafkaesque anguish!!!

Breakfasts were great, location great, rooms quite nice.

One staff member seemed a bit inexperienced (but very pleasant). We actually stayed here twice in a week - our first room faced the street and was quite noisy. Our second room was quiet.

This is a great spot and a lovely City right in the middle of everything! Excellent, modern, very clean Hotel! I've stayed here before and this day was even better than the last. They serve a really great breakfast, I recommend getting it included in your rate. Alexandra at check-in was really great welcoming me... I had had a very difficult trip from Rome to Bern and it's was so great to be welcomed so warmly. Unlike so many hotels these days, this hotel truly knows what hospitality is all about! Thank you Alexandra! Free local public transportation is included at this hotel! I've been all over Europe on this trip and this hotel was truly the best I have experienced and the true highlight of the trip. Recommended! I'll be back!

It was all great.

The reception staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We arrived at the hotel early and they kept our luggages while we were doing sightseeing. The room overlooking Waisenhousplatz (pleinair market) and located in the area with many pubs, restaurants and Migros supermarket. All attractions are within a 15 minutes walking distance, and also 5 minutes walk from the Bern train station. Our room was in the new section of the hotel, and clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Although the hotel was located in the middle of busy area of the city. It was so quiet after 22:00. The breakfast was very good with a good variety of food. There was even Vegan/lactose free section. The breakfast room was spacious.

For accessing to the new section of the hotel, we had to walk through the breakfast room.

The location is close to train station and transport. Bern is relatively small, so everything is within walkable distance. The breakfast is decent with bacon and scrambled eggs, coffee and tea room is nice for times when you need a hot drink. Bed is comfortable. I slept well.

Although there's air-conditioning, I think they controlled the room temperature so it can get warm. Windows can be opened to cool the room if required. They provide a all in one shampoo and shower wash, so do bring a shampoo and conditioner if you need something specific. The room is slim, so unable to leave 28' luggage open the entire time. But there's space to hang clothes and store essentials for easy access.

The location is few minutes walk from the train station and the surroundings has lots of resto and cafés to go. Breakfast was so so. Recommended for short stay with only light luggage/backpack

Room was in the 'extension' area in which will be needing to pass through stairs and 2 elevators. Need to carry your luggage up so its hard specially if bringing heavy one(like me as i travelled almost a month in europe and bern was my last leg. Been to interlaken, zermatt, zurich, geneva and zurich hotels but wasnt in 'extension' area with no view.

The Kreuz is a very nice hotel, located conveniently within walking distance from the Bern train station. The old city of Bern and its shop lined streets and the Zytglogge as well as the Einsteinhaus are all within walking distance too. The breakfast at the hotel is very good. The hotel is neat and clean. The single room I stayed in was on the larger end of the spectrum compared to single rooms in other hotels I have visited, and the bathroom was also big. There are common areas to play as well as work with several public desktops. The staff is helpful. They have a nice locker facility where one can store their luggage in big individual lockers using their own password and go off to visit the city and its attractions.

The hotel is walkable from the main station. A couple of convenient stores nearby. The staffs were very friendly, helpful and responsive. The room was clean and so were other areas in the hotel. Breakfast was good and the staff was quick to refill the food. The room was very big, we had space for our luggage. Facilities in the room were functional. Everything was perfect for our stay. We feel well rested after a long day of riding a train. We had a really great time there.

The hotel is conveniently located, great set of restaurants all around. The staff is simply wonderful and I cannot stop raving about them. Right from checkin to support provided to fix our baggage handle issue was outstanding. Similarly when we connected with the reception to be able to heat some food and she was so very helpful. I must say that this was the best service that I experience in all of my 15 days stay in Switzerland. The bed sheets were always crispy white.

The bathrooms are very very tiny and they were really the reason for we moving out a day earlier. The rooms as also quite tight. The rooms also carry noise from outside. We had a festival going on and to get fresh air in we had to keep windows open and it was noisy. The festival was both an advantage and the noise I would forgive.

After 4 days I managed to get some real nice sleep at this hotel. i love Bern, I will always come back. The hotel is located near the train station. The room is clean and everything was nice (breakfast, staff etc). But the truth is that is veeery expensive for what it offers. I know that Switzerland is not cheap at all but with 170euros per night (1 person) I expected more...Shoot me if I'm wrong...
