HUUS Gstaad has modern and cozy rooms, a great view and everything you need for a relaxing spa-weekend. Everything is clean and cozy! The bar/livingroom area is a real highlight where you can enjoy a wide range of cocktails, mocktails, snacks or just a coffe. The perfect place for a cocktail before dinner, to read your newspapers or to relax after dinner.

Unfortunately, service at the bar and restaurant „La Vue“ did not meet our expectations. We often had to wait for too long, orders were misunderstood or the staff just did not bring what we ordered or forgot something. Also, the atmosphere in the restaurant „La Vue“ is rather „cold“. There is no focused light on the table and it‘s very loud. I would recommend to either eat in the cozy livingroom-area or go out.

We booked 2 restricted view rooms that should rather be advertised as noisy rooms. The view was actually not bad, however the location of the rooms were directly above the Kids’ Club, so at 07:15 on Sunday morning we woke up to the “noise” of children yelling. I had requested quiet rooms at the time of making the booking. Furthermore, the dining room was directly below us, and the movement of furniture was heard from early on. In the evening there is a DJ in the reception from 17:00 until 23:00, so there was a constant beat of loud music. If you are looking for a lively weekend, I guess, Huus Gstaad is the place to stay. So much for a quiet, relaxing weekend in the mountains.

The hotel is excellent for families with small children. There’s a playground and a kids club. Our 4-year-old son enjoyed playing there. We also really liked the design both in the lobby and the room. The staff is attentive and friendly. The village (Saanen) is a short walk away and very cute. Gstaad can be reached in five minutes by car or a short bike ride. There is also a bus stop in front of the hotel. Overall a very nice experience, already planning my next stay at Huus.

The prices at the bar and the restaurant are a little too high. The north side room that we had was a little noisy from the road. The daily cleaning service could be a little more thorough, however I understand that the hotel was very fool.

The breakfast was very complete and tasty and a great preparation for the day ahead. The morning hours were prepared by the hotel team to occupy the guests with outdoor activities, from which they returned with a great appetite. The rooms were perfection with an ultra-comfortable bed (Haestens, I believe) and a amazing view from the balcony (see photo). The exercise room, swimming pool and the games rooms completed the picture. A great bar to unwind after a busy day. The extensive use of high quality wood on the walls and floors is a unique feature. Last but certainly not least, I would like to mention the very attentive hotel staff; especially the Spanish girl who effortlessly solved my booking problem.

Nothing negative. I like the total wooden environment. As a suggestion I would consider to find an alternative to carpet from the general area between rooms. It spoils the cleanliness of the wood.

The team was really responsive to requests and support for our booking. They went out of their way to ensure our room had two dogs beds, water and food bowls for our two dogs which was super super nice!

We had confirmed we were bringing our two dogs but were not informed until check out that there would be an extra fee. Admittedly I did not ask so I would be sure to ask next time. I wish that rather on booking.com under the details under Pets... that this sentence "Pets are allowed. Charges may be applicable." .. was changed to "Pets are allowed. Charges will be applicable."

We have stayed there about 5 times in the last 3/4 years. We love the place, so cozy and the facilities are great!

The staff seemed to lack of training. Every year we noticed this specially in the bar and restaurant (and breakfast since is the same staff) but this year even for check out the woman who help us had cero interest in actually being a good host. She hand me a bill and said nothing… started chatting his her colleague, borderline rude.

Everything is brand new — great design, clean, and the room is intelligently laid out for being somewhat small (my room category was the cheapest). I loved that my room opened up to the lawn and the views were nice at sunset.

It may have been because it was a Saturday, but there was a loud electronic DJ in the lobby until 10pm that was equally loud in the restaurant. This isn’t my “vibe” but I can’t complain — others may love it. Just something good to know you’re expecting a relaxing romantic dinner.

The Location and the parking.

The front office staff, specifically the female staff is not very friendly and come across as they are being forced to work and not happy. Me and my son have very severe dust-mite allergy and we had requested the hotel to remove all removable carpets and rugs from the room but when we came it was not done. Requested it twice while we were staying there but no was not done. In the end went home with severe sneezing and blocked nose. The hotel did upgrade us due to us being 3 but the most important thing they overlooked again and again which was a request due to allergy. The reason we choose the hotel was due to wooden flooring and no fixed carpets in the room. The bar staff was very helpful and friendly. The food in the hotel was average.

We had an awesome stay at HUUS. The hotel vibe is so warm and cozy! We loved the decoration, the big swimming pool and the spa area. There were nice touches in our room, like a wool blanket by the bench, or a hiking bag to use during walks. The landscape is just beautiful, and there is a nice path towards Gstaad by a creek (~50 mins walk).

The hotel is kind of isolated if you don't have a car (if arriving by train, make sure to call in advance so they can pick you up to avoid a long, steep climb up the hill). Our original room was on top of the the lobby bar and the music was super loud until 11 pm, so we asked to change rooms, to which the staff quickly agreed. On a final note, the food and drinks are quite pricey at the property.

The breakfast was really amazing. Staff makes you feel 'at home' and are very friendly. Rooms are clean and service is great. If the service fails - staff will recognize that and look for a solution (exceptional).

The only are where I feel that the staff was not representative for the high standards at the hotel is the general reception. People are not giving you a warm welcome when you enter the hotel - very professional but not comparable with the rest of the hotel.
